(Meda 55, Summer 2020, Haydee Martinez-Munoz) I'm glad my A&P professor recommended these videos. They've helped me so much in my first semester of the Health Information Technology Program. I recommend them to other Allied health students. It's a great tool and resource. If you want to learn smoothly and easily of the Triglycerides/Cholesterol I highly recommend you watch this video he explains it very clearly. I myself have borderline high triglycerides that I need to get rid of ASAP. This video sure helped me understand my cholesterol more in-depth.
Awesome video! I learned all about triglycerides with the help of this video. I learned that triglycerides are substances that contain three fatty acids and glycerol. Triglycerides are found in adipose, liver, and sebaceous glands. They are broken down by the -ase groups like the pancreatic lipase. These break down triglycerides into three fatty acids and glycerol which can then be converted into energy. I did not know much about triglycerides before this video, thank you for that quick lesson!
I had always heard of triglycerides during my doctor visits but this video did a good job on giving me understanding of what it actually is in our bodies.
MEDA 110 summer 2020. It is nice how you talk about the structure of triglycerides, and also where we find them. I also learned that they can be used as energy when the body needs it.
Great job on this video professor. I had never heard of triglycerides before, so this video was very useful. I learned something new. You really made the subject easy to understand.
Summer 2020 MED55: Due to blood work, it showed high triglycerides. I did research and it didnt help with much but this video really help breaks the information down to help me maintain my triglycerides.
This was a terrific explanation!!! A family member of mine has high triglycerides. But I wish that he would take it more seriously. Will be sharing this with him. Thank you.
MEDA 55 2020 great video professor! triglycerides are fatty acids and glycerol molc. when blood sugar is low lipase breakdown into 3 Adipose=fats , Liver, sebaceous glands = oils
Triglycerides was definitely an interesting topic to learn about. Professor Givon well explained triglycerides. I learned majority of triglycerides are found in Adipose tissue, liver, and in oils that are found in our skin.
MEDA 110 2020 FALL: Very helpful! The way you explain it makes it much better to understand! And you enunciate very well which makes it more understandable!!
We need to learn and know about triglycerides. This video has really useful information for our lives. It helps to understand correctly and let us know how this topic is important to us.
MEDA 55 fall 2020: great information. I had seen the word triglycerides before whenever Ive gotten blood work done but never really knew what it meant, good to know what it stands for and what to do if they are not within normal range
High triglycerides level is bad and the ways to fix it which are diet and exercise, thanks for explaining Triglycerides as well as providing extra useful information
BIO 327 (02) I understood this lesson very easily because your content was very organized! I learned that anything less than 150 mg/dl is considered normal for triglycerides.
I enjoyed your video on triglycerides. I learned they contain three fatty acids and one glycerol. I learned they are found in three regions, adipose, liver and oil glands the sebaceous.
MEDA 110: Summer 2020: Hi thanks for the very informative video! I still get confused on which triglycerides resides where and their function but it just a matter of memorization and less of conceptual confusion
extremely important it is true that High triglycerides may contribute to hardening of the arteries or thickening of the artery walls (arteriosclerosis) - which increases the risk of stroke, heart attack and heart disease. Extremely high triglycerides can also cause acute inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis)
It is cool to learn how hard your body works to stay as healthy as possible. For example, I work a lot and go to school so sometimes I don't always have time to eat proper meals at proper times. I notice my body trying hard keep myself sustained and awake. Perhaps it is coming from the glucagon.
Bio 327 FAlll 19 Very interesting to learn that Triglycerides has different types of levels and depending on the level it can be healthy and unhealthy.
MESA_MEDA_55_Fall 2020: First video i've watched that does not start with the phrase "Alright, Now..."! just joking around :) i find unbelievable the amount of stuff that is on our skin! i'm kind of turning into a germophobe just listening to what is in the fat and oils that are in and under our skin haha.
