Oh, my, lol. This is the best video I've seen reviewing the different trimmers. Straight to the point and honest opinion. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. It really has helped me make the decision to get the larger Fiskars rotary bypass instead of the Cutterpillar.
I apologize for not responding back sooner. I never get notifications for comments. I haven't figured out how to fix it. I still love the fiskars trimmer 😁 I can't remember if I mentioned I sold the other one on Facebook. A local DJ bought it. How cool was that?
You are so cute ! Like yourself I'm starting to think of myself as a paper trimmer "collector". When Jennifer Mcguire recommended the big Fiskars I thought she must be losing it because I have had NO luck with Fiskars 8-p After your detailed review I'm going to allow myself to start considering one more Fiskars. I own the Cutterpillar Crop and the Cutterpillar Pro. Love the Crop for traveling and taking to classes and crops. The Pro lives on my work bench and goes through heavy chipboard and heavier materials like butter. Main reason I chose Cutterpillar over Fiskars is the light. My eyes don't strain to see but then I make a lot of albums and do a lot of altered artwork and these old eyes helped me make the decision. I appreciate the comparison and still to this day I keep one of the small Fiskars as backup in the car on the days I pack for the class or crop and have brought everything except my trimmer, lol.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I am in the same place as you were but have not invested in the more expensive cutters. I recognized several of the cutters that you have, since I have the same. I was leaning toward the Fiskar bypass vs the Cutterpiller and now , seeing your demonstration that is probably what I will get. Now that it is two moths later, are you still happy with the Fiskar? Is the blade still sharp and does it still cut straight? Thanks
I still definitely happy with it. Thinner materials do not shift I do have trouble getting thick chip board not to shift I find it easier if you push the blade toward you for thicker material The one thing that annoys me the most is where it folds. You loose measurements from 5.5 to 6 inches so I use a ruler
I really like the heavy duty fiskars trimmer even though its so big. I will be purging a lot of them and probably just keep 3 The score board one to travel, newer small fiskars and the bigger fiskars. I did sell the cutterpillar. She was a DJ at the local radio station. We met at the library. She was super nice
