How inspiring! I too live in a cold climate in Maine, USA. I can grow Spinach, some lettuces, beans, some potatoes and have tried carrots, and a few other veggies, but they didn't make it. Probably my fault, I think that I need to water more and protect my plants from the wind and storms that we get here in the mountains. This video has helped me to not stop trying! Thank you!
Very interesting video Sara. My biggest issue at the moment is wind, which can wreck vegetables, so I’m working out how to put some windbreak up. I think it will make all the difference. Trine has done very well in such a demanding climate!
Horse manure, straw in cold frames( I call it a hot box).... 32" tall x 30" wide x 96" long with a good solid window or glass door for a top! .....that's what I find help in a cold climate.....
@@Skillnadens thank you, Sara. I tried scrolling the page before, but nothing happened. I find your videos so relaxing. The one about the pallet collars inspired me to find a factory that makes them near where I live. I have rock hard clay, so raised beds are the answer for me.
