Absolutely gorgeous! I'm so impressed w your eye for color and skill in arrangement! What a gift of love, labor, time, beauty. There is such great value in flowers. I can't even imagine the cost ..
I just watched this video of your friend's garden. Thank you so much. It's so beautiful. I would like to know if she takes care of it by herself, how old she is, etc. Again, many thanks. from Diane in Wyoming
Does the bottom pile of material , still undergoing composting process, not deplete the nitrogen and make the plant anemic ? I always thought that you can grow only in finished compost ( in container, in ground will be different story ) and that too requires fertilizer as compost doesn't have significant NPK to begin with. Compost does kick start microbial life in the soil ( in ground ) and in due course of time, the worms deplete compost to make the nutrients available to the plant, but this process takes significant time - 6 months or more .
Great tip, Sara. I love cosmos. I grew them once. They were huge and beautiful all summer. I can't garden much these days. I still get joy from watching others do it. Do you have a new channel now?
My favorite spot is 4:43. The rock in the path just taunts me with curiosity on which way to go. I love it and I will try in some way to incorporate this into my garden.
Dear Ninnie, I just wanted to let you know that I have watched this video several times over. Sometimes I will only watch for a minute and inspiration will fill me and I will have to go out to my garden. Thank you so much for sharing. It's elegant, peaceful and just perfect.
My cosmos have reseeded for almost 25 yrs with no help. They were my dad's seeds originally. Brilliant orange. I have to, on average, cull btwn 100-200 seedlings every spring. All in a 10x10 ft area. They invade other gardens, as well. Zone 7a Tennessee. Never known anyone to plant actual starts. Same with zinnias...just throw the seeds on the ground and walk away. Yours are very beautiful!
Can I pinch cosmos that have already flowered? They are about 5” tall and flowered. I bought them already started at a garden center, so I’m not sure if they had already been pinched or not.
There are not enough adjectives left to say anything new. My deepest respect for the gardener who created this sanctuary. Thank you for sharing your personal heaven on earth with the world. It is a majestic, special place. I'm so happy you have this in your life.
Beautiful! My grandmother was Swedish, I am drawn to the beauty of Sweden. The flowers are beautiful. What is the light pink with a golden center? Thank you!
