You are so inspirational. Thank you for sharing your story. I was touched. I am into old buildings too. I wish I could live there as an intern for a year, so I could learn all the nitty-gritty of a self-sufficient garden. You are a living dream. 😊
What a wonderful inspiring journey you have been on Sara ,, to manage a home with 4 young children,, writing books, growing your own veggies,,building a greenhouse, renovating old houses,, how busy can one person be? How fabulous your crumbly, rich soil looks ,, healthy soil means healthy plants and food packed with Mother Nature goodness,, you spread your compost as you spread happiness ,, you are generous with spreading your knowledge too,, thankyou for taking the time to make these beautiful uplifting heart warming videos,, best wishes, Lisa ,, p.s the filderkraut cabbages you recommended have been huge ,, and the lipstick peppers are red, sweet and perfect ,, thanks again 👌🏽
You are a well rounded person. I loved getting to know you. Your garden and flowers are beautiful. I love flowers too. My house is full of them. Fake ones. Lol. You get what you get. Looking at them makes me happy.
This was a delightful video! It was as if I visited you at your home garden and you told me about your life, your passions and your dreams. I have watched you for quite awhile and there were many things I did not know about you. Seven books wow! Thank you for letting us know all the things you are involved in and a little about your family life! You are amazing! 💕

Greetings from Oak Hill Florida Sara, and I just want you to know how much I love your garden too. You continue to inspire and smooth me all at the same time......thank you !
Hi Sara, I heard that you mentioned you're 43 today. Very Happy Birthday Sara 🌻🌺🌷 I have been enjoying your inspiring garden channel for a few years now. From 🇲🇾 Thank you.
Oh Sarà, I admire your work so much! I think you are amazing. I wonder how you acquired the confidence and willingness to try new things? I think you must have had a beautiful upbringing to inspire you. I love the passion for restoring old buildings, I am passionate about that as well. I wonder how the top floor of your house is coming along? I enjoyed the footage of your house project so much, the beauty of the old wood was captivating.I know you are very busy, but you also have a lovely life. The flowers you arranged for your husband were so beautiful. Thank you for sharing about your passions and your family.
Sara, i was just looking at my family tree, and my Grandparents were from Dalsland & Bohuslan Provinces. Just wondering if you know of these places. I am 90 percent Swedish and Norwegian, although my Dad said that he was pure Swedish. So maybe the Norwegian border has changed since my grandparents were alive. I find family history very interesting! Also love that you are from Southern Sweden!!
Hi Karen! That is so lovely to hear! I was actually born and raised on the West Coast of Sweden not too far from Bohuslän. It is so nice to hear you story. Take care!
Great insight & encouragement to stay true to your own happiness…even when feeling that outside pressure. I can fully understand that principle on a much smaller scale. Thanks for sharing!!💕
Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself. You are an amazing woman. You inspire me to take my gardening to the next level. If you can do it there, I should be able to do it here in the Pacific Northwest of America. I love your words about being a happy gardener, they ring true to me.
I had great results with cosmos in the past. The aphids also loved them though I did not mind. I found a spray bottle of mild soap and water worked well. I knew you were a knitter. I love you touques and sweaters I have seen you wear. I crochet now and then. If I am focused I can do a project fairly fast but I have difficulty staying still. Your gardens are lovely. I prefer to be outdoors as well It truly is fabulous for the soul!
Lovely video, great to get to know about Sara too! Love all the gardening advice that you give us in such a lovely way. Thanks for posting best wishes ffrom Cornwall x
Such a beautiful video, Sara! I very much can relate to the emotional tie you explained that you feel about gardening and growing food. I feel that way also. I also enjoyed knowing about your background. Appreciate your wisdom and advice that you always provide. I have grown cosmos recently also, as well zinnias. I plan to sow dahlias. I'm in zone 10, south Florida, USA. Thank you for the wonderful videos! I look forward to them. 😊
I, too, have to praise you on all that you have done and your openness to share your life with others. I have one question. In the video, I noticed something in a garden shot. Do you use fleece as a mulch?
@Karen Gemmill I assume it is used as a mulch among others, although with premium warming qualities, and for any mulch requiring plants. It is supposed effectively to keep slugs away. At least around where I am from, raw sheep wool may be cheaply and easily available as there are no/not enough further processing enterprises. Sadly, often lamb wool has gone to landfill. I wonder how it is in Sweden.
Hi Sarah Loving your video. Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!! I have so many questions but what are the purple flowers at 4:12 Looks like straw flower. Can you tell me where to get the seeds TIA
Very interesting, I always like your very practical garden philosophies, and especially all about the mulching! My question is: how did you actually learn about the horticultural practices in the beginning when you were starting out? I assume you hadn't taken gardening classes (but I might be wrong)...so how did you know how to start your big garden project in 2011?
