I began playing handbells when I was in the 8th grade. I'm 62 now and went to my first handbell practice in almost 20 years. WOW! These choirs have come a long way since we were voted the #1 handbell choir in the U.S. way back there in the '90s! I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Could I ask a question? I am a new handbell choir member. If you are responsible for several bells. Do you rearrange your bells after each song according to what you will ring first, or do you just arrange them in order of pitch and leave them be?
Saxophonelady , I have always arranged my bells based on what I need for that song. Depending on how many octaves or sharps and flats. Also, as I learned new techniques, like 4 in hand and such. So, it will evolve as you evolve as a bell player. I hope that helps.
