Very true.... As I tried to point out, this one is not the right choice if you travel for a once-in -a-lifetime experience. For more experienced travellers and avgeeks, it's a great choice though

On this flight I had major issues with my microphone. Also, weil never not keep it directly in front of my mouth when speaking. However, I also figured that when watched on a TV at, the sound is very different than when heard on a laptop or phone.... Happy about your feedback

Thank you very much, dear John. I always want to be completely neutral - that way I need to see both: The person who works hard for a ticket and wants a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I pointed out in the report that it's of course not an ideal place if you want a special experience ONCE in your life. But then there's others, avgeeks or very frequent traveller who might want a change of mind and are maybe more flexible, like me, and for them this could be a really nice experience. It's not for whiners who are sad that they can't get a Veuve Cliquot champagne (which you can always buy in a supermarket anyways) - it's more for the overall experience of an airline with a history and from a country that's a bit more special and out-of-the-way than, say, the UAE.... So I think it's as honest as posssible, with the right amount of critique and yet positive. That way, without mean clickbaity thumbnails, I'll unfortunately never get big view numbers....
Hey Chris, very good review - I love that you alway have some kind and positive comments in your videos. Considering the economic state of the country, it's good to see the airline still surviving and doing the best they can with the aircraft they're operating with. (I remember them operating into LGW in the 80's as Airlanka with their Tristar - I loved the crew uniform back then & it hasn't changed much over the decades!) SriLanakan Airlines should consider handing out hotel style breakfast menu cards together with a pen where passengers can indicate their choice of breakfast items, whether they would like to be woken up or not and the time they would like to be served their breakfast.
That's actually true. That would be a fair way to do it. And say that they serve it 2.5 hours before landing. A viewer just wrote a comment that the same had happened to them on a flight with Turkish. Very unpractical on a shorter flight where every minute counts.... Thank you very much for commenting! Hello Christian. Personally I don't mind that seat configuration 2 2 2 but not the Ek configuration of 2 3 2. Like you said lots of room to move and sleep. It's also great if your travelling with a special friend ❤. Where you off to next?? Stay safe and happy travels.
