You can use any gauge wires for any part of the bracelet. You can also wind everything in the same direction. Every change you make gives a different look.

I was expecting a more professional answer such as: a) if the core wires are thinner, you'll go through more coiling wire on the outside, b) if the core wires are thicker, you'll go through less coiling wire, c) if the coils all run in the same direction, your pattern will not be a chevron weave at the end, etc., etc. Thank GOD there are other experts out there who are better capable of explaining things than you are! Ren wax is a great product but when using it on jewelry it must be reapplied on a regular basis. Protectaclear is a dip and with several coats you have a very long lasting seal coat. You can see it used in our recent video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sNZIKFxrWOk.html
