The update added a ton of animals to the group that gives 100% QK on a single lung with the bow. Made it so viable that I've switched to bow only for fun and it is fantastic. I think this update had a more positive game impact than anything else they've done.

Strongside Definitely! I’ve noticed that I’m having more fun with this lung update than before. It was so boring and terribly easy with the spine shots. It also makes us use guns we never used.

After many failed diamonds due to lack of consec I got a 953 diamond moose on Layton Lakes about an hour ago. Clean heart shot in the dark with the 7mm for my first diamond.

When an animal is walking, whistle and theyll stop. It's easier than jumping up or moving

It does work, the reason I don't tend to do it is that if the animal is already alerted they usually spook more quickly than movement, at least in my experience

I got a 35 scoring kudu which I think is max score, chased him for 2km, and then took a 460 m shot which only hit his shoulder blade. Luckily I was using the 7mm so he did go down

You must have had low bonuses. Every gun gets integrity bonus, so maybe you shot it three times with the .338? Or it ran far and you're quick kill bonus dropped off. Other option is consecutive harvest bonus, so maybe you left an animal dead on the map at some point so the bonus reset to 0

@@Flintergaming on console we have harvest checks, so to keep the animal at full trophy rating is to get, 1: 2 or less shots 2: don't damage the trophy organ 3: hit a vital organ 4: use the proper ammo So I'm winding if you have those on PC or is that just an xbox/playstation thing?

When you clear the animal population file every hunt, and have people sending you their animal population files with diamonds or rares on them, it does give the average person watching this the impression that diamonds are fairly common, which they most certainly are not. Or even worse the impression you are very lucky, and everyone else just has bad luck.

I've cleared mine a few times to fix the glitches with animals all spawning as level ones, but no one sends me files with diamonds on them, though I know people who do that. To my knowledge clearing the pop file isnt helpful because it deletes zones of individual animals (ones that aren't usable by multiple species) and having more zones seems to spawn more animals
