My favorite of the old challenges was the one where you tried to get a unit to the max rank, 20 kills or whatever it was. That was a sick video. If you're re-doing old challenges, I'd love to see it again!
Yeah it was an Immortal right and he just kept it alive forever with a prism and got like 35 kills? I liked the one where he was stealing minerals with probes
I always thought it was funny that if you're doing triple forge, if you select all 3 of your forges you can type "GAS" to queue up all of the upgrades. It helps remind you what you just spent all of.
For 100k special get some coaching with a top zerg player but get Reynor to secretly play for you instead and they can tell you everything he is doing wrong.
25:55 This is the type of fight that creates high quality balance wine. You just blasted through a massive tank line, multiple bunkers and into choke after choke. On top of that you force fielded half of your own army while preventing the Terran from taking a worse position.
I think the forcefield was good instinct because it ends the fight sooner leaving his units closer to low hp natural nexus to help defend it faster. in this specific situation it didn't work out, but I say it's good instinct because most of the times in similar situations it would be better.
I legit love upgrade challenges. Sometimes they're complete garbage but one of the only self made builds I actually practised was a one base charge lot +1 all in into archon-sentry and +2 if you don't kill them quickly. It's just hilarious when your units deal so much more damage then you expect them to and win with just half of their army because of hidden numbers alone. One game especially I did it agains a zerg who was building roaches on 2 base and walling against the zealots. I had a hard time breaking until the archons came to the front and could break it down, at which point he had something like 10-14 mutas. Long story short guardian shield with +2 archons vs clumped muta-roach = funny haha. I slept well that night knowing I could never be sad again.
I really like how Harstem describes what can go wrong but he has it counted in. 30 seconds later he loses to that very thing. And stays calm and entertaining despite. BGWSS basically is seeing him lose in a very enjoyable and symphatic way 8/10 times. :-) Keep it up!
"ohhh he's going banshee and I won't have detection! Oh, I hate having to build batteries." Hey Kev, I think you forgot about those forges you built, you can warp in the Photo Cannon and it gives a pretty wide detection range (I think it might do something else too, idk)
cannons are really bad against banshee harass. Unless you build like 3 per base, the banshees will always find a blind spot without detection where they can kill probes
Hello Harstem, best SC2 content creator on YT. Have an idea for beating grandmasters with stupid stuff (or maybe more for cheesiest man alive?), not sure if this strategy could work in any case. Idea is to rush Nexus in enemy main base, meanwhile build some basic units behind it. When nexus finishes then recall all your stuff there (including probes) - this would be some kind of "Protoss Nydus worm". If opponent force you to cancel that nexus then just expand and play casual game (forcing cancel should cost him a lot of mining time right?). What do you think about it?
I don't know if you have ever done this.... but beating grandmaster series... you have to tell them what you are doing. Example: before you start...I going 1 gate expand... then when you attack you type attacking your right flank doing a zealot run by and warpgate in your main. It would be so funny to watch you win doing this.... blink Dts on there way to your forth haha.
Maybe you've done this in the past but: You can't attack until you have at least one of every unit that you can make. You have to attack with all of them in the army (workers not necessary).
As an American I know we haven't produced the best of sc2 talent, but for the first time ever I was rooting AGAINST you when playing the American Terran player.... naturally he let me down.... he is an American after all 😆
@Harstem these are the most internet data friendly channel. With your graphics settings there is no difference between HD and 480p lol. Love your channel! Keep beating them!
100K subs idea: How about a compilation of highlights from your past videos? You could put in some of your funniest games on cheese/bgmwss, favourite analogies, certain news reporters on sc2today ^^
BGMWSS suggestion: the fake corean Use a vpn to route your internet connection through corea. While nobody will notice this, your ping should be very bad, which is very frustrating, but maybe also quite funny
Idea for new challenge. Get all rare updates, such as warp prism speed, observer speed, extra range on phoenix, etc. Or maybe just a certain number of them.
Dude what happened in that first game? It looked like an all in, with like 10 queens, a few hydras, and tons of banes, but then after Harstem held, he still had enough eco for like 30 hydras and a few lurkers. Where did all this larva and gas come from??? Was Harstem really that far behind in eco that 100 supply in banes being simi wasted didnt matter?
Idk why I just love seeing highly upgraded units shredding low upgrade units. I guess it is because of my quick +2 armour with guardian shield adept build against Terran back in lotv beta where they had like 160 health.
25:42 This fight is so sick! Upgrades clearly matter so so much, i'm gonna start chrono-ing my forges like All the time: as soon as 1 chrono expires I hit it with another. Without upgrades you would have been absolutely slaughtered here!
Can you make a BGMWSS video where you pull the protoss boïs ? I think they deserve some credit too. I know it’s easier with mules but it’s all about scv, the probi boys can have their moment of glory too !
Next episode of beating gm you should go the “tech locked” where you can only build from one tech structure for 5 min and change it next 5. Ie first 5 only gateway, then next 5 only robo and next 5 only star port etc
@@rozmarinideas5340 yeah basically, maybe without some of the units that would still do a lot of single target attacks like ravager/lib/ghost if you want to push it
On your next challenge try mass oracle/pheonix. Where oracles are for ground troops and pheonix for air to air. You can use pheonix to lift ground but not attack and oracles can revelate air but obviously they can't attack.
