I think the reality lies somewhere in the middle. Neither party was easy on the other and the split really was inevitable.

'It did not work out for whatever reason'. Well, Punk didn't need Nash to be over. And in order to get over he needed to win, not lose like he did vs HHH in Night of Champions. Everything was working out up until september. Summer of Punk was a great storyline.

So with what Kevin Nash admitted just today, it seemed like Hunter was trying to keep up with the lie here. The match between CM Punk and Triple H was literally just to squash his hype, not "elevate" him - and Hunter wanted to personally be the one to do it.

What punk never understood is that it's a cutthroat business. Look at the wrestlers back in the late 90s. Austin hhh rock Jericho undertaker angle those were the guys who champions and got the main event push and nobody else. FFS edge was wrestling for years until he became wwe champion and even that didn't last long

I would lose respect for a guy to not want to be champ and main event as soon as he steps foot into the door. I disagree with the wrestlers who coast for years and dont really care if they get pushed or not. Sure it took Edge some time but that doesn't mean everyone else has to go through that. Obviously they are getting the message with Roman, didnt take him long before he got his main event.

no no no you got it all wrong it took edge a entire time to become champion because he never tried to put himself out there where he could get a chance at the title just like how triple h said him and punk had to do whatever they can to make it to the top and just like how john told randy its his fault for not trying to get a title chance and you've clearly dont check your facts edge last long for holding that championship and every time he lost it he always found a way to get it back edge was world champion so long when he had to retire the title had to be vacant so get it right

What do you mean? Hunter and the WWE have been taking shots at him since he left. You would think they would have been the bigger man/side since its a billion dollar company....hunter is older etc but no. Lets mock him quiting the wwe. Lets mock his UFC performace in ring. Lets make fun of his backstage incident at AEW.

And now Kevin Nash has just admitted what CM Punk said was correct. Triple H wanted to personally end CM Punk's hype which changed the entire Kevin Nash vs CM Punk storyline.

Crashed and burned because he wasn't ready. .2009: Biggest heel on SmackDown. World Champion. Eliminates Jeff Hardy from WWE entirely. 2010. Over. Is allowed to cut a promo during a Royal Rumble. Gets injured. Given commentary spot, knocks it out of the park.

Allowed to "leave" with the most important belt in company. 2012: Year long reign as champion. Headlined literally every show and got the best match at WM29 2013: Big return storyline with Heyman. @@coreyboswell2151 Punk has never said "he never got an opportunity". Why yall make up stuff. Ever notice whenever Punk had the belt, the wwe prioritized other guys? Lets see Shawn Michaels, Batista, Undertaker, John Cena, The Rock etc. They didnt care about him holding the heavyweight belt. They gave him the wwe championship and let him go over guys they didnt care about even more for 1 year because Cena/Rock was already set. Oh Sure he went over John Cena in his year long title run. The guy who main evented WrestleMania again that year. They didnt have no interest in his match with Undertaker until the night was over because it ended up being the best match by far. His point was it didnt make any sense to push guys who have already been there and done it while you got a guy like Punk who is rising up. Like he said at wrestlemania 29, he didnt care about losing the belt but him being in the main event would have made him become a bigger asset to the company. We're talking about a guy who outsold John Cena in merch as a heel. A guy who rarely and I mean rarely missed time away.

By Punk leaving, he actually made Mania 30 better. Think about it. Plus, he is highly overrated, he constantly botches spots in big matches, he whines too much, he was never happy (even when he was champ), not believable in the ring, etc... Great way to start a conversation btw, smh.
