I don't know if it's just the type of substrate, but the snail enclosure looks super dry... Most snails need pretty high/medium humidity to thrive. (E.g. my achatina reticulata needs misting 1-2 times per day.)

The "egg" is the cocoon Also with flower beetles like pachnoda, it is not advised to take the pupa from the cocoon as it can increase the risk of malformation

Tadpoles!!! My daughter was keeping tadpoles a few years ago. She had at least 250 in the pond in my back garden. I went to clean the water out as it had become really dirty. I started to notice that I hadn't seen any tadpoles, on further inspection I found 1 great diving beetle and 1 diving beetle larvae. These two had eaten every single tadpole in the space of a week!!! So I can guatentee it will eat them.

Hey! I rarely comment BUT your diving beetle might enjoy one of those sponge filters connected to air pump there are mini air pumps available. That water is providing much more than perhaps you realize but water cannot stay still it will cause more problems in your container. Continue these works do help.

I don't know if you are even reading that, but I think your videos are really interesting. I thought about keeping tarantulas as pets, but I can't bring myself to it, even though "they are really simple to keep". It's really awesome, that you even say things like "I don't want want to order anything cause its too cold right now". There aren't many people that think like that and it's really cool (no pun intended) that you look at it this way. So few pet owners think about their pets nowadays.

And their Friendly. The grubs turned into such pretty beetles. The markings on that ones back is stunning. Hope the lovely little water bug starts eating for you. It sure is a very interesting little creature. And it's so cute. Thanks for another awesome video. Chriss

For the diving beetle maybe try life earthworms. They survive long enaugh in the water for the beetle to find em at its own pace. If that doesnt work, feeder guppys should do the trick.

Hi! I’ve raised a relative of these beetles before. The easiest food that they LOVE is chicken liver. I have an extremely old video of one eating it. I bought the chicken liver frozen and defrosted tiny pieces for the beetle and then dropped it. They smell it and eventually swim over. They can also eat pellets but prefer meat.

Will you get to choose from different species of jumping spider when you purchase one? If so, will you do a poll or question (in the community tab)? You could give us choices of the ones you like/want to keep and then let us vote and majority would win. You could take us along and follow you on the journey of placing the order, the jumper arriving, etc. You could name it "Denny" for the Dark Den (and its a unisex name lol) You have ya a whole lil "mini series" type deal there! 😂 Is it just me that would find that neat and cool? My bad....I'll see myself out. HAHA!!! Those one lil bugs are vicious lil guys! LOL! A great video as always! Have a great weekend!

Silent g in "gnat" is apparently because it derives from an old German(ic) word in which the g wasn't silent. Much like the silent k in knight or knife. So... we don't pronounce it because it's stupid to have extra sounds in words, but we still spell it that way because we're stubborn.
