In my opinion the old intro was much better, and this new intro must only be reserved for spoken trip reports (like the Avior B732) or Brutally Honest episodes. also a correction: DL's 757s and 767-300s both use an off-the-shelf Panasonic system with Delta's own customized UI. Their own system is only found on the A220s, A330neos, and 767-400s.
Thanks for reminding me to always "pack a lunch" 🥪 when flying domestic Economy Class in the States. The U.S. airlines are so stingy with offering any food. How I miss the "good old days" of flying 😢.
Great video. Glad the 757 nose wheel did not fall off like the Delta 757 plane last Saturday did from Atlanta to Bogota. Plane did not take off, pass. put on another jet to B.
I've been watching this channel for too long that I know who's recording the tripreport just by looking at the check-in bag. 😅 love that the Brutally Honest intro made its way here. I miss the flight route intro though. Hope that there's somewhat of a hybrid of both that you guys can use later this year.
Delta tries to provide more premium service (relatively speaking in the States) by flying older-generation planes. It turns out to be a win-win situation for them, espcially knowing what happened to United's 777 Max9s.
If you notice the opening music for Simply Aviation that they have usually used for TripReports, the music has now been changed from MK2's Far Away to *Coma Svensson's This is the End of the World???* Wow, I thought this was *Brutally Honest* 😮
Flying is such an inherently calm, peaceful experience. I will never understand how people get angry in the sky. You've got nothing to do but sip cocktails, listen to music, and enjoy the miracle of humanity's aviation achivements.
Is it just me or does this always happen only on flights to/from/in the US? Never seen that in Europe before, on my only flight to the US, I've seen also a Karen exaggerating at the boarding. Also all the compilations of those incidents on RU-vid are full of scenes recorded in the US. Why do Americans have no chill while flying? 😅
@@viracocha6409 Unfortunately its the entitlement, lack of respect and manners for others and being impatient and its just getting worse and worse with people here in America....
12 Years a Slave, 3 Days of the Condor, Blood Diamond, Batman Returns, Catch Me If You Can, Coraline, Do the Right Thing That’s a fucking solid selection, Delta
I've never flown Delta, and I'm very impressed by this video. Those two elderly Boeings look to be in remarkably good shape for such mature-aged aircraft. They almost make me want to teleport back in time to the 1990s when I used to fly quite regularly on 767s here in Australia. Except that back in those days the IFE systems on board them were nowhere near as good as their present-day counterparts.
The only thing I don’t like about ATL is the TSA security checkpoint; it seems the lines are always long, even in the priority lane for First/Business. Once past that, however, ATL is awesome. As you mentioned, it’s better than even some mid-sized airports.
There’s a reason I prefer to fly business, when it’s reasonable. People act foolish trying to get off a plane. I had a guy in a middle seat climb over my brother in aisle seat to deplane. Literally just ended up in front my brother stuck. Chill out, y’all.
I love the new intro but please please please change the music back to your original MK2 Far Away Song. It would differenciate between Brutally Honest and standard trip reports. Other than that, great video👍
I remember seeing that on the IG story. Wild! Also, As someone based out of ATL, I always feel like I would've been like ahhh if I saw you just at the gate lol
767 economy class is the best if the flight is packed only one middle seat per row at a 2-3-2 configuration. Next would be a330/ a340/ JAL 787 that does 2-4-2 economy class.
I like the new Intro but I miss the old intro song, it will be depley missed. It was so iconic for you guys and Im glad that I found your Channel couples of years ago ^^
I guess this is the time you had to rest your vocal cords. Nonetheless, I enjoyed going on the trip with you 😊. It is amusing to watch people blow their lid off to leave the plane 10 seconds early and then spend the next 10 hours scrolling through social media posts.
Great flight and great intro, but this will become confusing with Brutally Honest. I don't know this flight is considered as 8th freedom of Flight or not, since it's need to aircraft change, and it's operated by airline from Destination Country.
Avianca’s nonstop being more expensive than an already relatively premium airline is pretty wild for a supposed “low cost” airline, but entirely unsurprising since Avianca have maintained legacy prices both domestically and internationally while dramatically worsening the onboard product from all perspectives. The airline’s been ruined for sure, so glad there are others like DAL serving Colombia. American have a pretty large presence there as well, and are often the cheapest option on Colombia-US routes, while Avianca are the most expensive, and American generally offers a better product these days which is funny. Great video as always David!
Excellent trip report but those people at the end, not surprised, just disappointed, seems like stuff like that happens on planes weekly in the states tby
That's a full day of flying when you add it all up. I hope you were able to get a good bite to eat at Atlanta airport, because Delta don't offer anything very much in the way of on-board food. None of the American carriers do.
I just flew from Bogota last week! Beautiful airport! Although my experience with Juan Valdez was awful: it was expensive, the coffee cup was tiny and the coffee tasted horrible lol By the way, can you make a video on Flybondi, Argentina's largest lowcost airline? Or on JetSmart, South America's largest lowcost airline. Thanks!
😂😂 it was only a matter of time before you got to experience the rowdiness of US plane passengers. I talked to a United pilot who told me they have to kick someone off 1 out of 3 flights!
Fun fact: starting at 11:03, that’s the eastern most part of Florida you’re looking at that juts more into the ocean than anything else. I also live about 40 mins south of there so it’s cool getting to see my locale in a SimplyAviation video =D
Could you please do a review of the American Airlines flight from London Heathrow to the USA? I recently flew with them to JFK and am eager to hear your thoughts on the experience.
