Ja ist sehr schönes land mit 3333km strand. 25c wetter. Die lage wird besser immer der krieg ist zu ende es gibt nur einige terror angriffe manchmal nur. Die haben viel öl da gefunden auch mehr alls VAE oder Kuwait.
You can actually claim to a first on this. No youtuber has ever done this, the entire youtube aviation content creators. Thank you for showing a glimpse of Somalia. This Airline has served Somalis for the past 20 plus since the collapse of government which also forced to close down services of Somali National Airlines. This is Jubba, we've also got .. Daallo, Ocean and few other smaller companies. Thanks again for sharing this.
This was a very interesting trip report. From the legroom (wow!) to the take off (steep climb) to the inflight meal! I agree that this Somali airline does better than some of the US carriers!
Thank you being honest am here Europe this Juba airlines is much better than Ryanair in Europe which don't even offer you water to drink You have to buy it but it is low coast airline you could get £20:00 from London to Roma but you have to book it 6 weeks before you departure,
Guys i am a crew in this airline and i was also doing the same flight. I have to say that it was a really hard operation and we got exhausted from this but we all gave our best! The local flight attendants were amazing! We were working together and they were the best mates!!!!
The passengers. Great and pure people but they couldnt even read the numbers of their seats. They didnt compromise with what we were advising them which was ofcourse about safety reasons and a lot other things that we were facing that i dont want refer here. Is also a high risk country so for the crew is really hard and heavy all this cause you have to be way too careful about everything. Anyway it was a really great experience and if i had the opportunity i would do it again. Africa has really great people!
Hi! So your are Olympus Airways crew? I love Olympus Airways, especially the aircraft, SX-ABY and SX-ACP, ex Monarch Airlines! Are those 2 nice to work on?
Samuel Knight yes i was olympus crew! Not anymore. The aircrafts that you mention i really love them. Very nice and comfortable! Especially aby was the first aircraft i ever worked on and it will always be my beloved one!!!
When that video was recorded years ago Mogadishu was already safer than 10 years ago... Now Mogadishu is much safer specially last months safer than many tourist destinations! There is a economic boom making it the fastest growing city in the world due to rebuilding, with a new airport underway too. Plus Somalia has as much oil as Gulf states and will start digging soon, so the narrative will be totally different in the next 5 to 10 years. It has Africa longest coastline with pristine white sand beaches in the Indian Ocean and all year sunshine that is not too hot like Dubai . It will transform into a major business hub too due to its strategic location. So things are changing my friend and Somali Airlines which once dominated African and Middle Eastern skies will return soon after 32 years absence
Basically, they are ok. The airports and boarding is annoying and there's little to no technology but the seats are super comfy and legroom is very good!
Somali Airlines is due to return after 28 years by end of year. It was the Queen of Africa. Security has improved in Mogadishu, Qatar Airways service starts in July and Turkish Airlines operates already.
abdirizak nouh I’m from Somalia too!! 🇸🇴 🇸🇴 🇸🇴 . The airlines are not very popular but the airport looks nice. Somalia partnered with turkey to build the airport(Adan adde) did u know that
WOW that seat pitch is impressive! Did the seats in the back have the same legroom or does Olympus have some sort of premium economy configuration for the first rows?

Holy hell, imagine what this airline could do if Mogadishu was completely stable, and the airline had funding for intercontinental flights. That was seriously impressive.
Brilliant video... simply aviation is now a heart of aviation, covering Somali airlines from Mogadishu is really an unique one , thumbs up .. such an incredible legroom n even complimentary meal in a 90 min flight just wow .. the takeoff was just breathtaking, such speedy takeoff roll and steep climb , I was scared watching that part ... thanks for such a lovely flight sharing
Thank you for your trip report from Muqdisho (Mogadishu). One main correction, though: The airport is _not_ guarded by Turkish forces. There is no Turkish security forces in Somalia except at their embassy and their base that they train Somali soldiers at. The airport's security is provided by Somali forces along with forces from AMISOM contingent, consisting soldiers from Uganda, Burundi and Sierra Leone (UN police).
Thanks for taking time to transit in my home country.. Somalia is a lot more safer than It was some years back and hopefully in the future things will get much better.
Simply amazing, thank very much for visiting my beloved country. I hope to see you enjoying the sunshine and swim the blue Indian Ocean of Somalia soon. Somalia is beautiful country with longest ocean in Africa.
Shawn Reed hi Shawn, at this moment to be honest with you no is not safe however is getting better and 2 to 3 years from now should be safe for you to visit. That day we will welcome with camel milk. Lol
@@gfkjfvl Hopefully the security situation gets better soon. I have heard Somalia is a beautiful country and there are people who want to visit. Tourism = $$$ = development. Sad the country had been unstable for so long. Another question. What is Al Shabab fighting for and what kind of people join them?
@@gfkjfvl I don't like the word "terrorist". I see that as a label of enemy. Many groups and people can be labeled as "terrorist" depending on who you are. Are they fighting for power? I they one of those groups who want to impose Sharia law?
That was good to watch. The media is awash with negative stories about Somalia. You have shown us that it's not all lost - that there is still life in Somalia - kudos for choosing to transit Mogadishu and sharing your experience with us
@Justin Y, you are hell Really First dont Tell that you are Somalia You need to Preview Somalia for what you need but even the readers they dont believe for your Bad Write 😡
@Justin Y, hhh Not moryaan really Waxaa ku wanGsna To be proud for what you are Marka xigta The Foriengs How they believe us or postive madama aad Negtivers tahy
This is why i love this channel. Most aviation youtubers only interested in the top well known airliners or on a main routes but not Simply Aviation. He fly everywhere!!!
Wow this is the most interesting trip report I’ve seen in awhile! And yes, it’s rare to get a proper meal/good legroom on such a short flight with a US carrier, but at least you don’t have to worry about getting shot. Well I guess that depends on which airport you’re flying out of... :-)
Thank you so much for showing my birth place Mogadishu I visit there every year am on my way in few months, it is not that dangerous as people would think, respect
Somalia is slowly getting better, thanks to resilient citizens and the international community.....despite the challenges the nation has maintained its economic stability. Definitely a good place to visit.
All airlines there serve hot meal and have big leg room and Somali Airlines which used to dominate African skies due to return later this year after 28 years absence
This brings back so many good memories! When I first went to Kenya, I also arrived in terminal 2 and had to walk to the terminal building. I absolutely adore Kenya 😍 und ihr seid auf jeden Fall die beste und coolste RU-vidrs 💯
Omg you finally came to Mogadishu? Wow well done, have you filmed the way going there aswell & how did you find the overall expierence of being in Mogadishu?
Why did u attack this guys he just write his thoughts u blame u downfalls to others blame u self warya 30years aya la marayaa still muqdisho la xasalin layahay becouse thet dont want peace no body stops you progressing except u idiots qabyaled and u qurun fuck of
You're probably the first one to do a flight report from a war-zone airport. When I read the notification I was like "WHAAAAAT????" I wouldn't have the guts to do that. And I was impressed at the number of "ajnabi" at the airport and in the flight. The world has more crazy people who like to live dangerously than I thought...
I wouldn't say that this is an actual war zone atm currently Mogadishu Airport is safe to fly to, run by Turkish military and after the Daallo Airlines flight 159 they improved the security checks! Most of the "ajnabi" you saw were military personal, private military contractors or NGO staff. ;)
Really i am Shame on like you To talk for Mogdishu is Safe and Developed place and it is Great City locate with stratrgic place. Be remeber most of the Countries in the world they Walk The stage of Fight , problems and so on Somalia is so like that but now There is no any thing alHamdulilaah proud of To be Somalia 💪
The Ajnabis are in Mogadishu to make money in the name of aid/peace keeping etc with the exception of Turkey. It's only the Turkeys who are honest about their support of rebuilding Somalia
Loved the steep takeoff! Pros to the pilot, it must be hard work in those conditions. My father used to work in Libya, and had exactly the same takeoff procedure as this.
Compliment: the video was so good Favorite video moment(s): that sublime engine sound during takeoff, that steep climb, that tremendous legroom and the complimentary meal Overall Rating: 8/10 Airlines that still need a tripreport: * EZ Air * Divi Divi Air * Winair Also do a report on Aruba's Airport
This is the most interesting video I've seen yet!!! A full bottle of Red fanta + A packed meal of rice and meat. Plus that legroom is lovely. I would fly Jubba for sure! It would feel totally unreal. To be in a city where once was hostile and 2 army b/hawks were taken out and soldiers killed. To it looking like a normal hot weather airport. The steep ascent because of bullets thing was crazy. Makes it a cool flight haha. Also the landing was Beautiful

I don't know if it's exact plane but I took flight from berbera north Somalia to djbouti back in semptember 2012 on this airline also I left Mogadishu 21/9 last year to Cairo via Turkish Airlines.
Here is link my first arrival in Mogadishu in June 2018 although I was born rised in Somalia lol! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ND0NtIv93Fc.html
That was one steeeeeep take-off! OMG, were you serious about that shooting comment? Btw, heartfelt thanks for going to the world's airports, specially the less travelled ones, on behalf of us....giving us a glimpse of unseen lands. 👍👍
Greetings from Bahrain. ...just saw a glimpse of airport sign...showing the word "Ajnabi"/Foreigners. ..the word Ajnabi means 'Stranger'in Urdu. Quite amused to see the correlation in languages. Nice trip report!
