I flew Air Mauritania in the early 80s. They had 3 planes, all Fokker F27s. One landed in the ocean, one landed upside down and I was flying on the 3rd ! Really gives you confidence... I am glad things have improved since then.
Very nice to see someone doing a report on Mauritania airlines. I had many bad experiences but that was before 2010. From what I see in your video, things have changed and I am excited to go back using Mauritanian Airlines. I live in Nouakchott so not many airlines. Great job BTW
How enjoyable to see a simple review with beautiful cityscapes, interesting simple airports and a small airline obviously really putting the investment in. Thank you, please keep these little known airline reviews coming.
United does something similar a few times a week, called “Island Hopper” which is a flight from Honolulu to Guam via several tiny islands in the Pacific (e.g. Pohnpei and Chuuk). Whilst unusual, it is a lifesaver for those that live in the islands that the Hopper serves, as it carries post and essential cargo, as well as passengers.
Really impressive they have the Boeing 737 MAX for an airline that has a really small fleet. Reminds me of when I was in Mauritania in 2008 and I had no way to really leave Nouakchott and had to make my way to Dakar to catch a flight home. Great trip report as always.
Yall are so extra bro, yall acting like mans was gonna die, calm down, right now it has gotten so fixed and tested that the 737 MAX is probably the safest plane in the sky, i mean, yeah i get that this is before the grounding so i understand your comment.
@@tello4912 This video was made 6 months before lion air crash and nobody didn't fix the issues at the time and mcas could've nose dived the plane any time guys just lucky to he alive.
I would like to mention: Thank you for your videos. They give a very objective review, not judgmental. I very much appreciate this. Keep it up that way!
Really? Seriously? For GOD's sake it's a Boeing 737😬😨😱. OMG im definitely not getting on this piece of shit. I hope those people can get to their destinations safe
Hi Felix, this is my first time commenting on your channel. I not only followed this journey on Insta but I also did it myself several years ago and have all sorts of memories being on the ground in Guinea and West Africa as a whole. I loved this vlog! Keep it up, thanks for your work TR'ing ;). Andy
Reading the title you can also imagine it would be a bus plan (apart from the distances) :) Really nice trip report. Always interesting also after some years.
Hello i am both from Guinea and Senegal and was realy surprised and happy to see you in both countries (airports :D)! hope you enjoyed! great report btw and thanks for sharing ;)
hi Felix it's sad that i didn't watch that video earlier as a mauritanian, you got a new subscriber dude ! and yes we have the first airline that operates a 737 max in africa ! all the love.
So rare to see multi sector flights like this nowadays! Reminds me of my first ever flight in 1983. A Gulf Air Tristar from Heathrow-Bahrain-Muscat-Bombay and the return was Bombay-AbuDhabi-Doha-Paris CDG-Heathrow
Nice trip. Single flight with 4 stopovers, without changing the aircraft. Thats amazing. Never seen a flight trip with more than 2 stopovers on a same/single aircraft.
I really love your videos it gives an good idea of how travel is as i one day also hope to be a traveler By the way i really like when you do these less known airlines i finding it really intresting!!! Greetings from Portugal!!!
In spring 2019 (yes the grounding year), I was supposed to fly with the 737 from Mauritania Airlines from Casablanca to Nouadhidou and was a little bit . . . curious. They used one of the older Embraers instead and due to start-up problems with one of the engines, we took off late. The sandwiches they handed out while we waited for the technician to fix the engine have been delicious! That was one of the most interesting flights I ever had. Leaving Mauritania also was a very interesting experience, because we had to take a taxi to Nouakchott to get our flight, due to a mix-up in delayed flights from Nouadhibou. Instead of back to Munich via Casablanca, we had to fly from Nouakchott to Munich, via Algier and Paris-Charles-de-Ghoules (and of course, they lost my luggage there . . .). A trip I´ll never forget with unique memories I´ll hold dear till my death. I still have that small jar of Mauritanian iron ore on a shelf in my office, as well as some Sahara sand I collected on our taxi trip to Nouakchott. Great memories . . .
IYou might not fly First Class all the time but I'm really impressed by your reviews and especially the fact that you go to places that many other trip reviewers don't go. It makes your channel much more authentic and worth visiting.
Très belle video!!! Merci et bcp de courage à tous ceux qi font ce trajet régulièeremnt. Pareil comme Abidjan-nairobi-kigali-Bujumbura. 10h de vol. Waouw!!!!
Wow, talk about your milk run!! Anyways, a most unusual and unique experience. Doubt there'll ever be another review of Mauritania Airlines anytime soon. Well done!
Yes! a 737 Max flight report. Very interesting flight. First I have seen so many stops on 1 flight. Must had been a long day. Could tell this new addition to the airline was well worth it especially with so many stops
I’m from Mauritania and I rarely ever see anything related to nouakchott or this airport, it would mean the world to me if you uploaded a flight to the airport and perhaps a tour or the airport, or another flight review of this airline
