This mind is tired of war Of misery and pain A spirit wasting away Like rivers to the sea A spirit wasting away In this agony Unable to breathe Calm rivals fear On this earth Beneath A spirit wasting away In this misery The weariness of days A life turned relict Nothing else remains A spirit wasting away These bones have been burned And hatred shall not last The tools of sorrow cast Have become the past A spirit wasting away
@@mariusmifsud8301 I can relate to that, the darkness of music is addictive. It can be meditative and take you places emotionally you didn't know existed. It's a feeling I've sought to capture in my music.
I just listened to the supposedly most popular song in the world and it was just some typical pop bullshit that was in no way outstanding. Whereas this song and video is incredibly good as well as unique.
@@undeadpresident because people tend to flock to the shallow and easy to digest things in life. The majority will never look behind the veil and discover art and music that originates from the soul. The popular music industry is an empty shell
Been listening to Tom Warrior since Hellhammer . This man definitely had a major role in the music I listen to till this day. I am 52 years of age and all I can say hail to Death metal and Black Metal. Greetings from Albuquerque New Mexico USA 🇺🇸. Rock on 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@customcornpop Glad to hear it! You might enjoy the music I make myself, in that case. I'm heavily inspired by bands like Triptykon and Amenra. Cheers mate!
Bah, you pointy hat fuckers clean up your words and your act. Magik? Seriously. Make it whole, or make it of none. Magick, Magic. No other. One points to a tradition, the other points to a understanding. Yet Magik points to rebellion, and ignorance. Do you want to invite corruption into your life? Then loose your way slowly but surely by not knowing a damned thing in your life.
I cannot fault this - structure, melodic pattern, visuals - perfect blend. Every dark motif is here without being clichéd and thats skill - my go to video when I feel down... it lifts me!
"You get talent when you discover the ground of your pain." -H.R.Giger Maturing to the point of rotting... Thanks for sharing your meaningful art, Tom G. Warrior.
Ana Luiza I've known HR, met him with one of his closest friends (he died a month before HR). He supported Celtic Frost & especially Thomas Gabriel Fischer (aka Tom G.W.) and let him use pictures of him often as album covers.... I'm just sorry he didn't take Martin Eric Ain (aka Martin Strickler R.I.P) with him to Triptykon.....
I come back to this video every once in a while, and I just don't know how to handle the feelings it stirrs up in me. When that guitar kicks in at 1:40 I completely lose it and start to think about how my life could have been so much different, so much better if only I'd have made the right choices at key moments in the past. I feel like letting go and accepting my life as it is. By far my favorite song, ever. Don't think I'll ever discover another song which I will have the same connection with.
The more I hear this song, I realize what a masterpiece of metal it really is! That bass-line gives the song a powerful command. That last note makes it all come together!!! Amazing!!! We need more!!!
Another masterpiece by Triptykon. This is not just a simple music video. And there is very few people that can understand and admire ART. This music video is another great Art presented by Triptykon. Thanks Tom, Celtic Frost wasn't the end of your journey. Still as young you were from the starting of your journey. That proves that age is not what makes people younger or older. Hellhammer, Celtic Frost and Triptykon worshipper from a small county you may not even heard of. Hails from Bangladesh.
Don't know about Banglagesh metal scene (but I'm pretty sure there is one), but check this out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4FqGPRQWFM.html

Jesus I haven't seen this in years and it took me right back to watching it over and over and over. Fucking just amazing. All of it. The music and the video. Just brilliant!
I keep coming to this marvellous song, a proof that the lyrics and atmosphere are so creative and they do not need million notes per minute to be impressive. Thank you guys for this song.
Completely agreed. More bands should focus on the atmosphere they create in my opinion. Shape of Despair, Doom:VS, Clouds, and Mono are doing great stuff. I make really atmospheric music as well, it can hold so much more emotion than straightforward aggression.
This song! This song! Don't know how to describe it but it just something really amazing! Just heard it live from Wacken and it is something out of this world. Feels like you're in space all alone like a celestial body moving in an elliptical orbit around a star.
AS ALWAYS,THE WARRIOR explores the hidden part of ME, the one that is silent enough to LET ME act " normal" to the world, but loud enough to be heard screaming when i am alone with my LIFE, MY memories and my rage... full of feeling and emotion ...ALL HAIL TRIPTYKON !!!!
I was at the store the other day and parked and was finishing this song not blasting just chilling and a cartpusher walked by and said "THat is heavy as shit" and I gave him the cd Happily and I hope he enjoys it😎 I know I do
This and My Pain are my 2 favorite songs of all time. Both of them are pretty unique songs for Triptykon, and they've executed them to perfection. This band man....
Oh lord of black earth!!What a master tune. First time hearing this. If people can't relate to this musically or lyrically I don't know what they'd relate too. That grips the mind and soul. Simply wow.....
Most of their stuff is a lot more extreme than this, which is kind of a shame, my favorite songs of theirs are the more gothic and atmospheric tracks like this and Shatter.
This is undoubtedly one of the most well laid out and well balanced and under played songs I have ever heard. So well balanced it's like a part of your body and soul. The video is superb.. I have to stretch my mind and memory to find an equal to this..and that's juuuust not happening Respect to, for and on TRIPTYIKON for magnificent impact.. 🤘
Honestly just found it (or more accurately Spotify found it for me) this afternoon as I have been exploring the darker side of my music tastes. What an epic song this is with the video dripping with atmosphere.
I like the way it starts off with a simple drum track and the instrument tracks come one by one. It's got a trippy hypnotic grove to it. And I can't just listen to it once! Thumbs up on this one.
From Alien, the movie which tagline clearly stated “In space no one can hear you scream”, to Celtic Frost/Triptykon, HR Giger has shaped the darkest visions of his mind into a perfection that will never be forgotten. RIP Giger
I translate form Greek and ancient Greek (common for the words below) : Triptykon = bulletin or three sheets Aurora = a thing that you can see from far away (like borealis = northern) Melana Chasmata = Dark gaps Thank you Triptykon for this masterpiece - Hail from Hellas !
My favourite track off the new album "Melana Chasmata" another dark masterpiece from the legend himself Tom G Warrior. Look forward to seeing Triptykon live at Bloodstock this weekend.
I have listened to this song over and over again countless times, each time hitting me like a ton of bricks. Especially the line "A spirit wasting away"
When I first discovered this song I couldn't believe just how amazing it was. The atmosphere and emotions this captures is just insane. The long intro, the guitars that get added one by one, hell even the unique drum track, ... The lyrics are just phenomenal as well. Truly my favorite song of all time. My Pain, while being less heavy, is a masterpiece as well.
I just got this article from the website The Pit saying this is one of the most influential metal albums since 2000. These guys absolutely blew my mind 😮
