In my early twenties a lot of people around me were saying that listening to Celtic Frost aka Tom G. Warrior was just a phase, and that at thirty I wouldn't listen to that "crazy shit" anymore... Well guess what, I'm fifty one and I still feed my ears and my brain with that "crazy shit" 'cause it's the shit I dig.
I met Tom et al in Hammersmith odeon on the Cold Lake tour. It wasn't a happy tour for the Frost at the time, but Tom was gracious and engaging nonetheless. I also bumped into him in Vienna at a hotel, completely by accident and shared a few words with him. His music remains a source of inspiration for me, and I hope he and his band continue to make such music- it stands apart from all the homogenised junk out there today. When is the next Trypikon album being released???
Here's what Tom said about the new album in an interview with Brutal Assault : “I’ve been working on it for quite a while, and we’ll be working on it as a band later this year. But it needs to be a good album, we have set a very high standard for ourselves. So, we’ll release it when it’s ready. I can’t really give you a release date right now, but we’re working on it.”
Same here, and I'm 49. Actually, I first discovered Celtic Frost when "Morbid Tales" was being put on the shelves at my local music store around 1984, so I was 16 at the time. It had just been released. Finding early Celtic Frost was a life-changing event for me....as life changing as finding the first Manowar record or the First Maiden record when those were released. My Mom saw the cover to "Killers" by Maiden and went,"Dear God, I thought KISS was bad enough." LOL
When the swiss gov will make a monument for Triptykon (Hellhammer/CelticFrost) or T. GWarrior?? At least a national recognition medal, plate, street name, square, cheese brand... The EU parliament should be discussing it...
Maybe a Victorinox T.G.Warrior pocket knife or a extra dark Hellhammer Chocolate or maybe a Movenpick Celtic frost ice cream . By the way Switzerland is not a member of the EU , so they need to discuss it in the 'Bundesrat', parliament .
A sheerly awesome, and back to basics video that really speaks for the atmosphere and narrative of the track without having to indulge in added gimmicks. A video that epitomises the simplicity of the musical intensity down to its raw detail. Fucking excellent! \m/
Fearing* excellent. Profanity is fear and conformity. I am the devils work and only my people are strong enough to do this. We are the bane of mankind, social religion and political religion. We are kids and dragons. What you think is what you are. Fear creates in a variety of ways. What have you created in the irrefutable, unregistered fear of your development? This is why we are here, to face our fears through practice and training. Only my people are rewarded with the devils luck as they do the devils work triggered by DXM slow metabolizer 10% once or twice a year and true love in the past. We are citizens since we have suffered defending out dreams in our anxiety. We know what to do with the gift of freedom. All these great artists like Therion and Helloween make us as we are part of making the psychic network of dreams the artists tap into. Only my people become. It all begins with writing and I began to write publicly in 2014 facing my fears of what I was noticing signs of. I am very excited for some of these lyrics as I feed my head even more. Thankyou TGF for being part of the artists that helped me set off on a never ending adventure of development. I am one of the inquisitors of fear. I am judge dredd and we are all already dead. Innocence and wrath I am a huge fan of Celtic Frost and cant wait for these albums. Monotheist was far out and the end of this song is the kind of progressive type stuff I want. Monothesist was almost therapeutic but I like the heavier stuff as well.
I really think this record is Tom Warriors best album in his whole career. Yes I love the hellhammer and old celtic frost stuff, but Melana Chasmata is utterly brilliant.
Speak to me, my master Speak to me, come save me Redeemer, revive me This black void, through my heart I can't see your dark sky Almighty, above me By grace, save me Believe in me, I am your lie I am deceit disguised I am your lie Speak to me My master Speak to me Rise to me from the dead Appear from this earth This your world, this your hell Forgive my feeble lies I shall die As masses submit to embrace And the maker reveals his one face As the plague of humanity arrives I drown in this blood contrived Creator of suffering divine Of baseness surmounting these minds Of reflection and reason impaired As grief trails endless despair
Tryptikon makes me fucking shiver. Each next part of the song gets better and better. Tom is a master in sending shivers down my spine and arms for many years now. Thanks TOM!
Speak to me, my master Speak to me, come save me Redeemer, revive me This black void, through my heart I can't see your dark sky Almighty, above me Those lyrics are fucking awesome
Whole song is amazing but that part at 5:30 just does it for me. Tom and V compliment each other so well with their playing and those badass guitar tones! Vanja is a beastess! Love that look on her face at the very beginning. Like she already knows she’s about to fuckin’ bring it.
I sold all of my CDs after a break-up. Never felt an urge to buy them afterwards....until this came out...damn it... I guess I'll be lost to music again \m/
i love this! woah! im so glad to encounter this song. i love it so much.🤘🖤 and these songs in general are so awesome and so soothing (at least to me), they are a special kind of dark and such a great release for certain emotions. i love this and i can definitely get lost in this. and this rocks. i love this
@@Annihilation_0f_The_Wicked9066 I was just talking about the two that he was referring to, I love monotheist but to mega Therion is easily their best work in my opinion
@@snilby2921 I love it TMT of course but Monotheist is what CF were aiming for. A song like Synagogue makes that album look like pop. For the 80's it was definitely their best work. I've listened to both albums so many times but I just can't choose TMT over it. To each their own though
+invadernik Tom said he created Triptykon with the intent of still being able to play Celtic Frost live. He said he wanted to be able to still play those songs, because he wrote them, and enjoys them. So it's not strange that Triptykon was created with the spirit of Celtic Frost.
well I haven't listened to hellhammer yet, but I don't think they've got the atmosphere/ tone as triptykon. unless they actually did incorporate those themes among others into their music. but last I heard, celtic frost is when that really started.
