hahaha Melodeath just isn't what I'm into anymore, I mostly listen to pop at the moment. As a songwriter/musician I want to be able to write music that will connect will people emotionally, even if they aren't musicians. I find that melodeath is a very small niche and most of my passion for music comes from being able to create something that many people enjoy/connect with. When I write melodeath the majority of people who enjoy it are just a few guitarists.. However learning to play/write technical melodeath has given me a massive advantage when approaching other genres because they're so simple in comparison. Maybe oneday I'll rerecord fear with a decent recording setup, but I highly doubt I'll write another melodeath song. sorry

This video helped me see that melodic death metal and metalcore are indeed two different entities. I got confused because I know several melodic death metal bands also use metalcore elements into their music and vice versa... Glad I can distinguish the two now. Thanks for the presentation! :D

I stumbled across a BDM cover of yours and was pretty impressed, but I have to say I'm far more impressed with your original material. You need to pursue a career in music. You have a gift.
