That’s impressive! I can’t even open my tailgate that easy with no load on flat ground without a ratchet strap keeping the bedsides together! Cool promotional video!
My old model strada is tough as hell and heavenly durable. I use it as a delivery service of 12mm tempered glass panels 4' x 8'. Strada can load and deliver with ease up to 8pcs 12mm 4' x 8'.
A lot of people talk stupid stuff ... there are close to NONE american cars that can handel this test like this L200 . Some trucks twist on there own without any load ..
Not designed for this. The f150 raptors is though. There is a difference between an off road vehicle(Jeep, range rover) and work truck(Ford fxxx, Chevy silverado).
Because they always did the door open test with the 1 front tire off the ground, it doesn't really matter the amount of weight in the bed because the weight trying to twist the truck is always the same. It's always going to the the weight of the front end, the same weight every time. Now I'd like to see the 2 rears on solid ground while 1 front tire is driven up a ramp, that might yield some different results.
When heavy payload and towing on high speed dirt road, hitting hole can bend chassis easily. People say it's because rear wheels are too far forwards creating cantilever effect at back/towbar. Hopefully longer wheelbase 2025 model has fixed this issue.
Any brand new truck especially one that was built past 2000 should be able to do this test no problem not to mention they started the test load on the tailgate and they finished it with completely Inside the Box
Maurice Cooper actually no. we had these trucks and the bed is small you have less space to work with compared with the hilux or the ranger. suspension is too soft when you around corners you actually have to be careful not to flip over. the engine has a lot of tourque but very unrefined unlike the toyotas and the new 2.2 and 3.2 diesels fro. ford.
I was comparing it to the Honda Ridgeline those other truck you said are probably better don't know whole bunch about these trucks just what I seen in the video I've always had full size but I thought this truck look tough
Maurice Cooper it rolls over pretty easily. This is called the Mitsubishi Estrada from where im and the toyota hilux and ford rangers are outselling these. The ridgeline is about the same size, between the 2 id get this simply because it is diesel.
@@GrimYak your a idiot the ranger and hilux have smaller beds, and both handle worse, the engine is unrefined i agree with that but it is piss simple and lasts forever
That's one tough truck ! Too bad it's not sold in Canada . If they did this much with there cars they might not have had to discontinue the Galant . The Lancer is long in the tooth and may disappear too .
In india it's very normal to fill 1000-1200 kg in any transport vehicle. Like this Mitsubishi triton mini truck people fill 2500-3000 kg easily. You can see mahindra pickup
I like how companies now have to prove that the tailgate and doors will still work when the truck is loaded. What happened to the days when you expected that everything will still work properly regardless. This is why I drive old vehicles. I put 2 tons of gravel in my 70 F250 and guess what, everything still worked.
John Stevens true bro...i watch a video of a ford been tested like this and it twist alot the tailgate coudnt open...and it wasnt loaded😂😂😂....Mitsubishi well done👏👏👏
Actually not all chassis are design in the same way. Sometimes the best for reliability is a flexible chassis. Example, big trucks. The rigidity is pretty important for handling in roads. I know two super duty f350 srw that are use for carrying 3 tons in the bed, and after years, no problems.
Yaser Hosaiky what is the reasoning when deciding to produce a truck with a small carrying box. its all good to add fancy new advancement but the carrying box should b loong n wide probably double wat they make now
I have a 2010 Toyota Hilux 2.7 petrol carry 1200 kg feed for a distance of 45 km from the city to the farm have not encountered any problem with it it's a great durability and efficiency / Toyota Hilux legend in durability
that thing handles weight pretty good. alto i do find it stupid that todays trucks are more capeable than ever in towing and payload. however the beds are to small to acually be used as a truck most of the time
Let it do the same open its door or lift gate while on uneven terrain or its front wheel was up in the air lets see how its body flex hehehe only Triton has video about this kind of test
@@HuyHoang-kx6wj Yeah, I don't know what the hell they are trying to do here. They want to add more suvs to their lineup but still refuse to bring the Montero Sport back which is still being sold in other countries. They want to go green also but they only have one tiny ass shitty electric car and then one hybrid crossover. Honestly they have no hope in America, they just need to pull out.
I have 1994 toyota hilux sleeper for industrial use... we used to put around 2.5 tons of weight on it... and without any fault it delivers tile adhesive bags to required site..
Tengo una L200 año 2013 work, la llevo al campo y subo un estanque de 1000 litros, aguanta muy bien pero noto que baja mas de atrás que la del video, pero hace bien su trabajo, ahora compre una hilux 2018, es un fierro.
I'm very sorry for you gang how speak ill for mitsubishi, cause I believe in this brand cause we own 2wd L300 and it bit all other brands out there, you're negative words will bring more positive vibes for Mitsubishi and once again it will shine on top again Ameen.
