This is a quick how to video on the Triumph Scrambler 1200 aluminum radiator guard for XC and XE models. You put the difficulty level at a one. I’m getting one of those for my XC, I’m going to install it blind folded, just because you said it’s that easy.

For sure that will come. I have not had a chance to ride the bike as much as I wanted to. It’s been cold lately. But there will be videos on that soon👍🏻

My go to channel - very informative! Last fall I picked up a 2020 XC with 125 miles. This winter I'm "adventurizing" the bike similar to what you're doing. At the moment I have my radiator guard and a few other pieces being powder coated black. This summer I'm going to ride from my home in Maine to the NM/Mexico border and switch tires. Ride the Continental Divide Trail north to the Canadian border, then back to Maine. Last summer rode 7,000 miles (MABDR N to S to TAT E to W) on my DR650. BTW, I still haven't gotten the left switch gear off for the heated grips! And I have the tool - ugh.

I wish I was there to help it’s kind of scary because that little clip you just don’t wanna break it but I struggled for a good hour and a half to get that thing off so I may have made it look easy on the video but it wasn’t. I think if I remember correctly I kind of had to put some pressure on it to get it to break loose just be careful of that clip. It’s a really stupid design🤣

@@ManCaveMayhem lol - so my $20+ plastic tool broke inside the switch gear! Today will I resort to a coat hanger flattened out at the tip. Come on Triumph, you can do better than this 😂 At a minimum include the tool IN the heated grip box so we know how to fab our own sturdy tool! The saga continues.

@@ManCaveMayhem Got it Larry! My coat hanger worked much better than the $#@@ Triumph tool. Now on to my wind screen, upper (SW Motech) and lower (Triumph OEM) guards, and TEC tail tidy. The screen mount and guards are being powder coated black as I type. Again, thanks for the videos - I think we're doing similar builds! Steve

@@steves6614 I’m glad you finally got that stupid thing like I said that’s one of the things I don’t like about their switchgear. I got more videos to come on the Triumph still gearing it out for the big trip⚠️🚦 Keep me posted on your progress! Ride safe my friend!
