Both are entirely different bikes apart from being in 400 category. The buyer segment is different. But in India, it’s about price with a fit and finish comparison. The color scheme are way better looking for T400s. But 440X perhaps gets for a more mature rider segment.
Yes tbh I really loved the fit and finish of speed 400 but I love long stroke engine so I did went for x440 and having fun with it, it has great exhaust and low end torque quite fun to ride and getting mileage around 39kmph including highway+ city ride as I have to travel everyday 110 km both ways
I have test ridden both, the X440 is more of a cruiser, somewhat similar to Royal Enfield. The Triumph is way more aggressive in comparison, drawing some similarities to the KTM Duke 390. The only similarities between the two are the modern classic/retro design and the 400cc segment.
The Harley engine is a larger, air-cooled, under-square single that doesn't rev as high but probably has good torque down low. The Triumph is about 45 pounds lighter which appeals to be because I need to downsize as I get older & weaker. Also I prefer the Triumph style. I doubt the Harley will come to my country (USA) but the Triumph will be here January 2024.
Special thanks for covering warranty. Idk why no reviewers talk about this. I wish you talked about service intervals also. Otherwise great video. Thanks! 🙌🏾
like the review. If someone thinks it might be too small for them as far as height goes, they can always but the scrambler which is taller (835mm seat height). Can you put a main stand on either bike? Can you get a functional screen for either bike just to deflect wind from your body? What's the basic servicing like-ie: air cleaner & battery? Are they easy to get at & service or replace? Do you get a manual & tool kit with it? The scrambler has rider modes-like off road etc-will you do a review of the Scrambler? Love your accent!
I don't know about the other questions but I can tell you that the Scrambler will be launched in 2-3 months from now and that is when you can expect to see a review.
What about u think for the performance of these two bikes HD OR TRUMPH , I am curious only for the initial pickup. As both the bikes are having the same torque.
I have seen multiple reviews of both these bikes and I can tell you that the performance characteristics on these is quite different, as you would expect. The X440 revs upto 6000 rpm and has pretty good low-end performance, like most other Harleys. The Speed 400 on the other hand has a higher red line and the performance is mostly linear, although it's a much quicker bike.
Mam how about the suspension of the bike....As you know at the indian roads are very much difficult to ride in urban areas....So in that situation usd froks can survive? How much milleage we can expect on this glorious motorcycle if we ride it in eco mode... I will be waiting for your kindness answer...
Harley is also way more expensive than this when compared to this , people are comparing base harleys price which comes with spoke wheels and a single colour option
The Harley gets better features like Bluetooth connectivity automatic headlamps all metal body and trellis frame...nothing against Triumph but I thought to inform you
@@generaldong1090 so true bro before traction control people used to tie their bikes to wall and wait for the company to bring traction control...Triumph shouting at the top of their voice about the linear power and torque curve and giving traction control
@@Rashisy81i5 you get Bluetooth connectivity automatic headlamps all metal body and trellis frame from the base variant itself so every feature that I mentioned is present in base variant
The horror stories I've heard from many Harley owners regarding service from dealers would really make me wary of buying one. We'll see how this plays out with this new model, but this sector of the market is really hotting up so the competition will be tough.
I talked to one of the Hero 2.0 executives today & got to know that they are going to take the responsibility of providing service and even they are going to have trained service executives for the premium segment bikes offered by Hero. Well, it is impossible to know the actual scenario but we can expect for a better service from hero.
Harley service used to be good, till the time Harley had presence in India. Post exit, the service has become pathetic. Sold my Harley due to service issues.
@@dhhavs Yep, I know. I'm hoping that since this is a project based in India that parts will be plentiful and aftermarket option too, a bit like Royal Enfield.
Hello, such a beauty!! Triumph will have a big succes with those 400cc. For me I prefer the scrambler version and looking forward to see your review on it asap 😁. Thanks for your excellent reviews and regards from far away Serbia 🇷🇸✌️
The Scrambler has been only been revealed visually and the actual launch is 2-3 months away. So, you'll need to wait for a review for some time at least.
I think i will better go with RE super metoer or topgun or maybe their bullet 500. Which are more resilient and easy to get service centers when you go for long rides and as a advantage they are good for long rides.
Please help, I'm stuck with what to buy.. Triumph 400, triump scrambler or hasqvarna svirtpilen ? My heart is set on hasqvarna, for some reason I like its style... but please, suggest me what I should do ?
wow awsme.... u present it beautifully... i m awaiting to buy a bike.. i m having interceptor but wanna change to RE SG 650 or himalaya 450 new.... but can u guide for bettr option
I have one basic question: where can we take the test ride for both Harley and Triumph. Like will I be getting them on Harley or Triumph showrooms or on Bajaj and Hero showrooms as well?
Hero will sell the X440 in their premium dealerships and I think they'll have a premium section in their dealerships in smaller towns as well, so you'll have a pretty good chance to test the Harley soon enough. The Speed 400 on the other hand will be sold exclusively in Triumph dealerships which are 16-18 right now and will be increased to a 100 til next summer so you're not that lucky if you don't live in or close to a a big city.
@@abhinavsingh.92 oh thank you very much for the information. I was totally unaware. I would like it if Triumph was available at some Bajaj showrooms as well.
Speed 400 is awesome and waiting form scrambler..But I have one question besides the topic . What is the exactly meaning of shaking hands like this (1:52)? Because I have seen many people shaking hands like this in different aspects.
Hi Priyanka please tell me hows the seating position and comfort??? Can one do 100kms comfortably in a stretch??? I am still confused between Honda Hiness and this new Machine Triumph. Please suggest🙏🏽🙂
nice bike but i am desperately waiting for yamaha R3... plus it is below my budget..but if yamaha didnt launch the bike this winter then definitely it will be in my list with RE gt 650... because the major deal breaker for me is its single cylinder engine
where to get this bike? will this be available in Bajaj Showroom or only in Truimph's? cause i really wanna get this bike as my First bike but my state doesn't have Truimph showroom yet, not even in my neighbours states i guess. Bdw i am from Arunachal Pradesh and i really hopes that Truimph will atleast make this bike available in Bajaj's Showroom for interior states.
@@NjanshaluGood boy, that is why this will be super duper flop 😊 Only 15 showrooms and servicing will cost minimum 5000-10,000rs. 2.3 lakh ex showroom and it will cost 3 lakh onroad.
Hey Priyanka, the bike is so exciting, I booked the scrambler. It will be my first bike and I am 37 years 🙂, beginner motorcyclist. What you are doing is amazing, doesn't feel scripted (not sure if you do actually 😋 )feels natural and organic. You light up the screen every time, you should probably try acting if you haven't.
Got my Hunter at 35 wish this was launched 6 months ago anyways riders need a ride bike it’s just a tool… all the best & Priyanka is not your cup of tea so don’t light up 😅
Greetings from a motorcyclist from Russia! I bought an "Avenger" in November, the "Dominar" does not fit the meaning, if there was a "Triumph 400" I would have taken it, but I think we will not see it in Russia.
How about Milage and Service Cost ? I Hurd in Vedio 16K Service would charge 4.5K...Not sure whether it's True !!! Also am gonna use this Bike for Office and Mainly in Banglore Traffic !!!! Please Advise !!!
To get performance of 40hp or more from a Single cylinder, you have to make it oversquare with shorter connecting rod length and to prevent damage you have to make it liquid cooled. This has been the trend since last 13 years approx, right after the Ktm Duke came to India. Oversquare piston block type engines are excellent in performance, not that great in mileage but are super fun to ride, cant take a lot of rough riding, hard downshifts and are very durable. So other makes of motorcycle brands incorporating same engine design will sound similar. When you questioned the triumph gentle man,he got stuck,,see the look on other journalists face, lol !! you are bang on right, bajaj dominar400, ktm20,0 ktm390,himalayan450 and the triumph 400 will have same sounding engines, only the gearboxes will decide linear or torquey output as per the internal design.
Everything is fine, but I'm curious about your umbrella. Its peculiar shape caught my attention, and I couldn't help but wonder what happened to it. Instead of focusing on the bike, my gaze was fixated on your umbrella.
Truth be told I suddenly had an urge to buy a bike having spent just about all my life in cars, I do own an excellent range of cars and I don't buy Japanese or Korean cars I only buy and own German Cars, so I'm basically a car guy. But lately I've been feeling rather monotonous confined into the cabins of my cars and want a real free wind experience especially after work to just go out on a spin to quench my urge. I browsed through everything, I checkout the Harleys and then shortlisted Norton and Triumph, now since Norton is not out and I'm not willing to spend on an expensive bike right now since this will be the first motorcycle ever. Nevertheless, since I couldn't find a good Harley, and Harley X440 was horribly pieced together so I accidently walked into Triumph showroom since I was passing by it. I was astonished to see the Speed by Triumph which was everything I was looking for. I did see the scrambler and I didn't like it. Hence, I'm in going for Triumph Speed and then when I get accustomed with motorcycle riding, (which I must admit would be rare) and then move to Triumph Daytona 600 and a Norton Commando 961 cafe racer. Your video was rather informative so thank you.
