Brilliant bit of research Ian, really interesting. I wonder if someone upgraded the seals to prevent a leak. Best wishes, Dean.

Yes I would guess so, the old ones I removed were the 'leak free' type (does that mean they don't leak or do they leak freely!). Ian

Hi there, you may find this useful if you have not heard of it, i use a site its full of parts books for Brit bikes even if your doing a bog standard bike it can be a bit confusing as you know the manufacturers seemed to change there minds all the time regards what parts they used. Its called British Only Tech Library Hope this is useful. Cheers Baz
