One of the best Bonneville's ever made. Equipped with the air/oil cooled 865 cc engine and loads of charm. Fun!

I bought the same bike but a 2013. Same color, everything. But, my gf at the time talked me into going with a black bike 🤔 lol They’d already done the deal so the just changed out the tank and fenders and such to black. I’m like you, I LOVE my bike. It turned 70,000 miles just yesterday and we’ve been in 15 or 16 states. I’ll head out in September for my yearly trip through the Appalachian mountains. Usually about a 2000 mile trip. I plan to hit 100,000 miles on this bike before I buy a new one. Probably three more years. Glad to see somebody as happy with theirs as I am with mine. Godspeed.

What you mentioned at 7:54 is very true for we taller riders (76 inches here). It is the reason I cannot own a "Corbin" seat, it locks you in one position fore and aft. Even the R.E. Conti GT single-seat has room to move around some, I have one on my Interceptor. Have said it before, those 865cc Triumphs are so user friendly that I bought two of them ten years ago; just sold the Bonneville SE and kept the Thruxton.
@britishmotorcyclesuperstor5751
Love that long seat and these beautiful 865cc bikes. I'm betting they will be sought after for years to come. Wahoo!

I have a 2014 T100 with 18,000 miles that I bought new. It’s a blast. Just returned from riding the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, ect. Gas mileage ranges from 47-58 mpg. I don’t agree that the bike is unstable at low speeds-it’s easy to manage. Bike is the most fun on the curves-would not take it on extended trip as comfort is lacking-have bigger bikes for that. Also wish it had a sixth gear, but not a major problem as I rarely run it down the Interstate.
@britishmotorcyclesuperstor5751
Love this bike. Don't think I said it was unusable at low speed but heavy handling. Something one gets the hang of quickly. So much so that it becomes unnoticeable. I ride a lot of bikes so I'm thinking I notice it more. I envy your fuel usage, I'm getting mid forties to fifty-ish at best. Beautiful machine. Wahoo!

@@britishmotorcyclesuperstor5751 Absolute agreement on looks and handling. Gas mileage could be affected by your large windshield and usage on highways at speed. I use a Dart windscreen or a German made slightly larger windscreen with an adjustable spoiler for more coverage. I like the Dart because it looks great. My T100 is red on black with red stripes on the fenders. I have the solo seat with rack on it-had a gel pad inserted but still get some butt burn.

I just picked up a 2007 Bonneville. It was sitting for 3 years with gas in the tank and the carbs but I've got everything cleaned up and it's running pretty good. I don't have it registered yet so I haven't been able to take it out for a proper shake down ride. Interesting that you mentioned the instability... I've only taken the bike around the block a few times, so nothing higher than 40mph but it feels really heavy in corners. I thought maybe the previous owner had lowered it or done something to effect the performance but you're saying that's just how these motorcycles are.
@britishmotorcyclesuperstor5751
Low speed handling is a bit different. Higher speeds it gets better. It's a unique feel that I like. Did that 07 have the 790 or the 865 engine?

@@britishmotorcyclesuperstor5751 it has the 865. Its a cool bike. Ive got an appointment with the DMV on Tuesday to get her registered and titled in my name I'm looking forward to putting miles on it.

Love your enthusiasm for the bike. I am a Harley rider but at nearly 60 i find the weight and power a bit much. Find myself looking at the Triumphs quite a bit. Hey, not wanting to insult your knowledge of the bike but are you sure that is fuel injected? Looks mighty like a carburettored engine to me. Thanks.
@britishmotorcyclesuperstor5751
I own two Harleys myself and love them too! When I bought this bike they had to convince me that these were fake carbs. The last year for the real carbs was 09, I think. You should go take a Triumph for a ride. Wahoo!

@@britishmotorcyclesuperstor5751 She is not the most sane bike. At least at age 57 and riding 48 years I do not get stupid....lol 😂 It just feels good to ride a Triumph! Be safe and look out for the cagers on cell phones!
