Other than engine size, how similar is it to a T-100? I love my T-100 but am thinking about a scrambler. I'm 6'4"/ 260lbs. I like the height of the XE but I think it might me too off road for me and I'm concerned that the X is not that much different than the T-100. Thanks
Its a really nice bike but it has only 170mm suspension vs 200 on the XC. The XC is the better option in my opinion. Its almost like a little bigger Scrambler 900 with a 21 inch front tire. The gap is to big between the XE and X. The XC was the better deal.
The new X is closer to a "1200 Street Scrambler" than the XE/XC IMO. I have a SS and like it but I'm considering a new X. Personally, I wouldn't buy any of these bikes for off road use, they're too big and heavy but as street bikes they're great rides.👍
Being a tall rider, I'd lean towards the XE or a second hand XC. I agree with previous comments of it feeling closer to the Street Scrambler 900 than the 1200 XE's...
Agreed, I'm 6'2 and would definitely opt for the XE (as it's my favourite bike). But after riding with 1200 X I felt no issues with the size, my legs weren't cramped up and it felt like a very capable bike. Definitely worth trying one out. - Adam
Thanks Adam, I'll definitely check them out, the higher ground clearance of the XE might swing me as I have off roading in mind in the not too distant future!@@lindmotorcycles
Well, I test rode one and bought one. I like it for exactly the reasons you mention, ie, it's much closer to a Street Scrambler (my last Triumph) than it is to a XE. I'm quite tall at 6'3" so mounting an XE/XC is no problem for me, I just prefer the look and feel of the X.
