A note of appreciation from me in a cold South coast of England conservatory. I basically created both seats for 73 Spitfire using just the foam from my old king size bed and an electric knife and scissors. I watched the detail of this on these vids prob 00's of times to help me build and install the foam from scratch - i had no ref as my foam turned to dust, so appreciate you documenting this. Nothing worse that a nice rip in your 50 year old vinyl as you pull over hand made foam layers to stop the flow, but patch and onwards ..... all done now and in fact very comfortable - limiting passengers to < 90kgs though as I'm not sure the seems would take it as think prob needed higher density foams - so no big pie eaters in my car
Hi , I have a 78 spitfire looks like is a similar seat frame, mine is a nid twisted, bent the back frame part. Can you sent me a pinture or video of frame or any recomendations how to straigt it
Hi, is the main structure bent or twisted. If so then any straightening you would have to heat the frame however depending how bad it is it might be a better option to replace it. I'd still try to fix it before spending money to replace it. Unfortunately I don't have the car anymore so don't have any pictures
