Shows there is a fine line between ADV and Sport Touring. That is a model that has evaded me. Will have to check that out at next Triumph demo! 😎🤙

My man, I'm not kidding when I say this thing rips. I had a little bit too much fun with this bike.

I’m really digging the tiger sport 660, I’ve always owned Japanese brands so I don’t know much about triumph reliability but that bike checks a lot of boxes for me

If you haven't had a chance to ride it yet, you need to. I still can't believe how impressed I was buy that bike. Plus, I can attest to try and reliability, my 98 Daytona is a screamer still to this day

I am riding Japanese bikes all my life. Added Tiger 660 to my garage. This bike is awesome. Triumph reliability is way better than BMW, very close to Japanese bikes. Handling on the road is something next level. Modern Triumphs are reliable, don't worry.

Had mine 3years and 15,000mls. Brilliant bike, fast and handles well. It’s comfortable but I have fitted some extras to turn it into a 7hour in the saddle comfortable. 1) a mesh Cool Cover for the seat. 2) 20mm bar risers 3) foot pegs lowered 15-20mm 5) MRA screen with top deflector. Also it’s got a quick shifter and chain oiler to complete the package. For solo riding put the rear preloaded up at least 10 turns more with luggage. I also fitted a front chain sprocket with one more tooth, not sure about this yet. Yes it’s more relaxing but 6th is now an overdrive, it’s lost some of its sports appeal. I do wonder about changing it for the latest specification tiger 900 pro but can’t really justify it, if I did pillion riding and used it more in sub 10degC the yes I would.

@@MichaelWilliams-jc2ui the 900 is powerful, but it's also heavier, and a bit more ungainly. Between the two I actually prefer the 850.

Hi there!can i ask if you have much engine heat to your knees from the radiator vents?
@scottkelly1607
@scottkelly1607 2 месяца назад
@@thodoris3790 no nothing like that, the only thing I have found is that the engine feels a bit viby through the bars.

good to hear about the 660 sport. i read the 850 is lighter than 660 ! engine weight;. i like the seats for 2 up riding. yet lighter. my 750gs at 222 kg is to much for me ; as top heavy.

This is a weird bike for me because I've never been into that type of motorcycle, and yet since I've ridden it I can't seem to get it out of my head. I suppose because of that it is the motorcycle that has impressed me the most that I have ridden lately

Compared to the Tiger 660 with the traditional triple crank config, the 850's T-plane crank has gobs of torque from the get-go at the expense of some vibration through the bars at certain RPMs, but I found it can be easily damped with a pair of Barkbuster handguards and end weights. Grip Puppies help too. Great fun up to 8000rpm where it starts to run out of puff, but you'll hardly feel the need to exceed that threshold anyway.

Three years and 11,000 miles still loving mine, all for £9000, at the time.

excellent; my 500x is not power enough and twisting; hillss forget it ! i have a street twin for the city madness of 20,000 scooters all over so this fits the travel, touring and 2 up; yet lighter and easier for my old bones.

I'm very happy with my 2022 model. I've done a decent amount of off-roading with it (put some battlax AX41 on it) and it delivers! just turn off the traction control.

I think the T-plane crank engine is what makes the difference!!

@@Brisguy I'm not kidding when I say that this motorcycle is in the top five of motorcycles that I've ridden in the last couple of years. And I've ridden quite a few. I absolutely loved this thing.
