Starting my British classic 1980 Triumph TR7 Roadster (30th Anniversary edition) after sitting in non-heated barn for six months during winter. Gettin' her ready for some spring driving and more car shows! Has manual choke conversion from Victoria British 3:45 (had the original BEESWAX thermo-choke when I bought the car, which was completely rotted!) If you wanna skip the lead-up, the actual start is at about 4:00.

So good to see these old uk cars being used. I own one and this vid has made me really want to get mine going again. She has been in dry storage for 2 years...maybe this year I will get her out!!! Thanks for the video!! :)

It will be a project; TR7's were not known for their super reliability! But if you're willing to crack open a Chilton or Haynes manual and get you hands dirty, you will have an awesome car. And you might end up becoming a pretty good auto mechanic in the process!

If you watch long enough, you'll notice that the tack "un-sticks" itself after several minutes of running. I guess it's due to some goo in the tach armature. If yours is having the same issue, you can google a good article on how to fix it from "The Wedgelab" homepage. Hope this helps.

Beautiful car! It’s a shame it took 3 or 4 attempts to get it to start. Maybe the carburetor needs an adjustment..

ok i got a question. my dad and i are thinking about getting a 1980 tr7 convertible like this for a fun summer car, its in good shape and it does run. would it be a good choice?
