Wondering about you so I came by to have a look. Good tip on getting the stuck pistons loose. Hope all is well. Thanks for the videos , I'd like to get a look at the Vitesse when its done.
Hiya mate good to hear from you, I hope you are well, I will be resuming back to the Vitesse fairly soon / ish, bit of a story to it all but basically have been trying to loose the black dog that has been following me around the last couple of years, I'm on the mend now and beginning to get things back to normal. Thanks for checking in on me. take care bud. Scott
My Spitfire 'Wilma' has the tiny 4 piston calipers. I went broke buying new pistons when I built her calipers. I bought rebuilt ones for my dear Harold. Brilliant way to solve this tough problem Scotty. I would have used petrol or gunpowder and blew them out!
I know exactly what you mean, if I didn't already have the seals I would have done the same I reckon, would have been too close to the cost of new/refurbed ones to bother fixing up my old ones.
Hey Scott, I’ve been wondering about you buddy and how you’re doing. I’m sorry it’s been so long since I last checked in with you. I hope you’re well and still enjoy tinkering! Regards, Jack
Hi Scott, just checking in on you again. Hope you’re doing okay. Spring is just around the corner now! Good weather to come for tinkering on our Triumphs in and getting them out there! Keep going mate, we’ll all be very happy to see Vincent bursting into life and roaring to go! I hope our paths cross one day :) Regards Jack
Good to hear from you Scott. I am sorry to have to hear of this unfortunate situation. I wish there was something I could physically do to help but I can at least be here. I hope something works out for you Kind regards Jack
Hi Scott, just checking in again. Spring came and went, I still haven’t got my own car on the road yet! All too busy with life and work. How are you doing mate? Hope things have turned around and are okay for you Regards Jack
Hello Scott. I’ve only recently come across your videos since buying my Vitesse 6 and I have to say they’re excellent. I get sucked into binge watching them in excitement of seeing the progress in the next episode! However, I became concerned to see that your last upload was a year ago so I was wondering about you. I’m not one to prod into personal matters so I just want to say I really do hope you’re doing okay friend. But I did notice you mention your black dog and I’m only 18 but I’ve had my own black dog on numerous occasions and a severe one he is! So I may not know your situation but I get how you feel so you’re welcome to talk if you need to. Take care :) Regards Jack
cool...awesome job....a man in his cave : ) i always had to hone the cylinders out.and the plunger....seems they always were pitted so badly. road salt here : (
Sorry but i haven't been able to see your videos. You know, Easter in a cottage far away from decent internet and so on... Anyway we're back home and the dog is snoring on the couch beside me now. I' really like your work bench, looks just like mine. Have done this trick before but always with grease, never with soapy water. Never crossed my mind. Wonder if i have a dirty mind then?
Hope you had a nice time mate, now the bench.... You know now matter how I try, I still end up with it in a mess, so I just leave it like that now. LOL
Ha I have just the same "problem" It takes a day to clean the bench, it takes only 10 minutes to fill it with stuff again. Have you seen my little update?
Yep you can take a brake now he he ooow bad bad joke :-D Me and my mate went into coventry the other day, his right front brake started to act up, the hubcap was warm in respect to the others. He was pissed off as it had fresh brakes a couple of years ago. Should be simpler than yours, he has a herald soft top car (sorry i dont remember the correct model), little flag on the rear tail. Naughty herald LOL :-D
Hi Drew, hope you are doing Okay, you know I'm a pretty cheap ass bugger but to be really honest it doesn't always work out for me, sometimes I wish I'd spent that bit more.
