Trivium is really at their peak i feel like and i said that 2 albums ago as well! This album is tied with Shogun for me and its not strange as this song was for the most part written in the Shogun era 2007-2008… this whole album just has that epic and grand feel to it, Shadow of the abattoir and Fall into your Hands are two great songs from this record you should check out! Trivium 💯

You guys need to listen "In the Fire" and "The End" from Roadrunner United. Matt Heafy sings in The End and sings and play guitar in In the Fire. Both killer songs if you like Trivium.

My interpretation of this song, given the context of the album "In The Court of The Dragon" I think is about living during a time where death is surrounding you. You can pick up this theme in a lot of the other songs that allude to things like COVID, war and climate change that are currently bringing about mass death in society today. I like to picture this song as the anthem for when the battle is finally at your doorstep. It starts with seeing death all around you (carcasses washed upon the shores), being lied to by your leaders, and living through terror until the terror reaches you. In which case all the dreams you had about being some hero goes out the window and all you want to do is survive. It's anger as you see the devastation and go through the battle yourself, but once you see the end you are pleading not to be "ripped from the stars".

Tis me again...not a filthy capitalist ...I'm too broke to even join Patreon but I can keep leaving these messages trying to get you to react to Dog Fashion Disco. I have been requesting them for well over 2 years...back before you guys reacted to their side project band Polkadot Cadaver. You could go back to that videos comments and read where I was trying to get you guys to do DFD back then but I was even requesting them a long time before that. I will just keep trying this way...lol...it'll probably never work bit I can dream. They have so many good songs and I think you would love their blend of genres along with Todd Smith's provocative lyrics. But since they have a new album releasing soon I think it would be fitting to request the new single that has been released. This band has been killing it for over 20 years. So I'm requesting Dog Fashion Disco's Grand Experiment I think the subject matter will give the both of you plenty to talk about. Plus I would like to see you guys react to the weird blend of surf music, 50's style horror organs, metal, and even a rockabilly style solo in this song. I truly believe this would be a band that Vin would fall in love with and it might even change the views or sound of the music you 2 make.
