@@chriswigmore5610 In this case, Wash is the dad, Carolina is the mom, Church would have been the uncle, Sarge the grandpa, and the rest of them are the kids.
One of the saddest moments of the last season. Because unlike the first time, Wash was fully aware of what was going on in that moment. The first time he was still a bit daffy, but the second time... he knew because it'd already happened and yet still had to happen. Ouch. But it speaks to his grown bond with the entire group that he felt open enough to ask them "can you all be there with me"?
WASHINGTON: It's okay. Hey guys, I don't want to be alone. Will you uh... Can you all... be there with me? In Temple's base when I... When I get hurt again? CAROLINA: You got it. DONUT: We got you. GRIF: 100% DOC: We'll be there. SARGE: For you, absolutely. TUCKER: Of course. SIMMONS: I'll bring the Band-aids SISTER: For Sure. CABOOSE: As long as it is not Tuesday between 1 and 12. CAROLINA: I'll be there so hard, there will be two of me. WASHINGTON: Thanks.
"And you know, when the shot comes along, we will take it." After watching the episode where this song comes on, that phrase takes on a completely different context!
I don't know, are we just some cosmic coincidence or is there a god watching over us? Y'know with a plan and stuff? I don't know, but it keeps me up at night.
I'm so goddamn glad we don't have to wait months and months for this release, just watched the episode and this new mix is honestly my favourite part of the season XD it's just an amazing sounding melancholic and beautiful rendition of the song we're all so used to :) Amazing!
Here after the finale. This was a great series even with the ups and downs. Thank you for making my childhood and teenage years great. We used to hate saying it, but now we have to. Goodbye, Red vs Blue. We loved you.
I really love the emotion played in this song, I know this was for the last episode for season 17 or it was just a song you guys did for funs, but I like to think this song plays throughout Red vs Blue as a whole, not only their hero's but their hero's that cure our happiness when watching the idiots saving the world by being what they're, the Reds and Blues.
I like to see Season 17 as a memory of everything that came before, seeing that 18 will be very different, it is safe to assume that Season 17 is a tribute to everything before 18, Revisiting every season. before 18, Blood gulch, Freelancer trilogy, Chorus, and 15 and 16, and this music being played during the final episode just perfects this tribute, It brings back all the memories you had with this series before season 18.
"Hey" "Yeah?" "Do you ever wonder why we're here?" "That really is one of life's greatest mysteries. Is there really a god? Y'know, with a plan? Or are we all just some sort of cosmic coincidence? I dunno man, really keeps me up at night" "..." "..." "What? I mean, why are we up here? And what was all that god talk?" "Oh... I um" "Wanna talk about it?" "No" "You sure?" "Yeah"
Haven't watched RvB in a long while but Blood Gulch Blue popped in ma head yesterday. Glad it did cause this version is awesome! What serendipitous timing. Bravo!
“And you know when the shot comes along we will take it” With context, that phrases just switches round for wash. He knew there was nothing he could do. He had to take the shot. Imagine a slow motion scene of him walking to his position with that sung in the background
Dear Chairman despite all that you have done, the many attempts to ruin my work you have failed. I admit that none of my actions were justified, just the Hope's n madden attempts from and old man trying to bring back someone I hold very dear to me. And in that time my project created somthing by its self, a family like none other. And that is why dear chairman you can never win and never will win in your conquest. I am proud of Agents Washgiton and Caroline along with Church, Tucker, Caboose, Doc, Sarge, Griff, Simmons, Lopez, Sister and Donut for all they have done. And with that Dear Chairman is why you are no longer needed From Yours Truly The Former Director of Project Freelancer Doctor Leonard Chruch
This song is where the zeries ended for me. There is no Zero. Just a sad, bittersweet ending where our heroes win, the crowds all cheer, but one of them is changed and hurt so bad. But unlike Church, Wash gets to know his sacrifice was worth it.
Hey Yeah? You ever wonder why we're here? Y'know, Simmons. I used to. But, after everything I've seen and all the bullshit I've had to pull through, I just don't care anymore. What about you? Well, the way I see it, we're here to leave behind memories. Memories so that everyone else can see what we've done and admire it. Even if it's something incredibly stupid as sitting in a box canyon in the middle of nowhere and talking. Or be as heroic as stopping a planet's civil war or saving time itself. We're all here to leave behind memories of ourselves. Wow. You can get really deep when you talk. Man, am I glad Donut wasn't here to hear that.
young me: *watching the blood gulch chronicles for the first time* this stuff is comedy gold! present me: *hears this song* ....i'll miss that cavalcade of fuckups and the 2 agents...the show will never be the same without any of them....
@@nullakjg767 I get that the show has always put comedy at the forefront, but when you've known these characters for nearly 20 years and you see them go through the emotional parts of the show it can really hit home...
@@armourdillo1236 20 years lol, the first episode of Red vs Blue was only uploaded in 2015 and was recorded back when Halo CE was popular not that far from halo 2's release date. Twenty years of knowing these characters good grief sonic alone is in his twenty fifth year and he got one hell of a head start on the entire halo franchise let alone RvB
@@gatekeeper7211 First episode was released in 2003... The episodes were re-uploaded to RU-vid at some point so maybe that's what your on about? It's just under 16 years which isn't miles of 20, certainly closer than 4 years.
I may not have been here when it started. But it's the only way I can remember and old friend this show was our everything our connection. And technically I watched it in my childhood. One night when everything seemed to stop a month where trying was hard I sat alone with RvB and that got me through it. These characters are the reason I'm here to talk to you today. And we'll my loving friends and family who did not know what I was going through but we're still there kinda. This community is my everything even years after watching this it's in my mind I make up stories I draw them and when I'm down I think of stupid funny moments. Maybe I'm obsessed but it was there for me when others couldn't be. Now I have more friends I live a happy life and we'll just enjoy the small victories. Rvb is my everything and I love it dearly even right now I'm introducing my friends to it like my old friend introduced it to me.
Who's here after watching Restoration? SPOILERS: Super Colonel Sarge Medical Super Private, First-Class Frank "Doc" DuFresne Leonard Church Agent Texas May your memories be a blessing. Fare thee well, Red vs. Blue. Fare thee well, Rooster Teeth.
While I'm happy that zero has been retconned, im upset that this beautiful moment has been as well. Here's to hoping that the final season will be as better than the one proceding it (which with burnie back, that's basically a given)
I agree, Zero I can do without but this... This was such a powerful moment, Wash choosing to take the bullet knowing what was coming, and all the reds and blues stating they'd be there with so much conviction. It's a shame to toss that away.
Emmet Bayne oh thank god thank you for letting me know. I imagined season 17 being the last season since a sad version of the first opening usually means its over
Season 18: Zero may be coming out soon... But only hearing this theme makes me think Red VS Blue should have ended in Season 17: Singularity. It feels like the proper ending. And besides, with Burnie and Joel (Voices of Lopez and Caboose) out of Rooster Teeth, the next season won't be the same. It's just my humble opinion.
I think in the case of the Blood Gulch crew it is over, at least for a while. But the Red vs Bluenaverse is a big place and still still plenty of good and funny stories they can tell in it, as evidenced by the Freelancer arcs in 9 and 10. And the benefits of this new season still being RVB instead of it's own show is they can bring in lovable characters like Carolina and Wash while still telling a new story with new characters.
I know this has been said multiple times but at minute 3 if you listen closely you can here an easter egg from the song off of season 13 of RvB called contact.
It's funny, I decided to feel the feels and listen to this song... And then I accidentally unsubbed from the RU-vid channel. I clicked on the channel instead of the subscribe and noticed the last song they uploaded was 11 months ago. We've come a far way from "Do you ever wonder why we're here"
Simmons: Hey Griff: Yea? Simmons: ever wonder why were here? Griff: Yea, it’s one of life’s greatest mysteries isn’t it? Why are we here? I dunno man, but it keeps me up at night. Simmons: What? No, I mean why are we here in this box canyon. The only reason we have a base over here is because they have a base over there, and the only reason they have a base over there is because we have a base over here. And if either of us win then we’ll just have two bases in a box canyon. Griff: huh Simmons: What was that stuff about god? Griff: Nothing Simmons: Wanna talk about if? Griff: No
