Beautiful Trev! I used to visit my Aunt & Uncle's farm in on the edge of St Mawgan village as a little boy back in the 1960's. Their land extended all the way down the valley to Mawgan Porth and I have loads of happy memories playing on the beach. No surf or paddle boards back then, just a bucket and spade!

Beautiful area around there with some stunning beaches! - I must say, Newquay is a bit hectic for my liking these days, especially when on the coast path! A bit of a contrast! Thanks for watching, chief!

Lisa Kinahan Yes it was a nightmare trying to find the way, and the town was getting rowdy when I went through, too. Apart from that it was a stunning walk. Thanks for watching, Lisa.

Them views were stunning mind, great beach and clear sea, together with the weather, I agree, you could be in the Carobeno! I bet the beach's will not be as quiet as that over the next 6 weeks and well done on 18 miles, impressive in that heat, cheers Alan

Alan METALMAN - Hiking & Outdoors Yea I reckon those beaches will be rammed as of next week. Was a cracking walk, hot in the end but for the most part was a nice breeze. Thanks for watching, Alan.

Neil Bennett I know what it's like to have to travel for hours to get places being stuck down here. Lucky then to have the coast so close even if the mountains aren't. Thanks for watching, Neil!

Stunning views along a fantastic (albeit lengthy!) walk. You are so fortunate having all this coastal scenery on hand AND the moors as well. I have Essex! Ah well. Interesting "rockscape" at 1:43. Mawgan Porth was where I first went beach fishing - didn't catch anything but it was brilliant anyway! Newquay was far too noisy and crowded for my liking. I assume the bridge at 6:26 is for pedestrians only. Wouldn't fancy dragging my rubbish bins across the bridge in winter. I bet that seagull had stomach ache after eating all those sweets. Where to next I wonder.

Thanks, Ken - it was a great day walking, some amazing coastline and beaches, but yeah, a bit of a minefield walking through Newquay and it was a Saturday afternoon so filling up with drunkards. Thanks for watching, sir!

Excellent vid mate. Very informative as always. The scenery is stunning along that coastline. Brings back memories of the very first time we went to Cornwall when i got my first car in 1984. We stayed at my Aunties caravan at St Merryn near to Padstow & the weather was exactly the same as on your walk. Hoping to visit that coastline next week when we are down that way. ATB mate

I couldn't hear what the white hut was used for, you you mind repeating that? So there you are, hot summer day, just meters away from clear beautiful water, and you just keep walking. Sir, there might be something wrong with you. About that 18 mile walk... look at the beginning of your walk on Viewranger. There looks to be a loop de loop where your GPS system was still zeroing in and you got some "bonus" miles
@SummitOrNothing
@SummitOrNothing 6 лет назад
George Post I was looking at that water all day and thinking the same tging, George. What am I doing up here?! That wasnt viewranger with the loop, it was relive, which I've realised is good for animated walking footage but completely unreliable for tracking time and distance. It said I did the walk in 3 or 4 hours.... I didn't.... It was more like six. Huers hut was used for watching for pilchards. Thanks for watching George!
