Jeff Berardelli sounds like Steve Carrell. He could totally sit in on a voice over for him! Even favors him a little. If this career doesn't pan out he can be the stand in and voice standby. :)
Hey guys. Appreciate the work. Former USCG. Ivan, Irma, now Ian. Keep a go bag be ready to move and stay alert. It’s not just the immediate impact we should take into consideration, it’s also the aftermath. Are you prepared to care for yourself and others when electricity and water is a zero factor?. If you have to survive due to factors that prevented your evacuation, think through what a minimum 4 day survival takes for rescue. Don’t touch the water as it rises and remain on highest elevation possible within view of air rescue. Please have fluorescent spray paint or smoke to make yourself noticeable.
My brother and I are in our 70s and live in Carrollwood. We shopped for things to eat and will begin to cook and freeze tonight. I'm expecting a loss of electricity. We live at Linebaugh between Gunn Hwy and Anderson Rd. in the housing development called Plantation. There's a big chance of power outages, I hear you saying. Hopefully what I cook will last us. We can eat cold, I suppose. Dave and Denny
They said the exact same thing ( track ) when Gary was taking aim at New Port Richey, years back. BUT, when Gary reached the Ft. Myers parallel, it did a 90 degree turn and made landfall in Ft. Myers. You just don't really know what a hurricane will do til it gets within a day of your city.
The National Hurricane Center should always be the ultimate authority. Anyone new to these storms should listen to State and Local announcements and preparation information. I have been through numerous Hurricanes, Typhoons and Tropical Storms. I responded to Katrina with the National Guard and was in Bay St. Louis, MS after it hit. The people who always suffer the most are the ones who didn't prepare or heed the warnings. Better to prepare and be spared than not to and regret it.
I'll pass on listening to "Govt Officials" because they are always stooges reading crap handed to them. Look what the Govt dopes did to to the poor folks in Katrina..... I'll listen to to REAL "Weather Professionals".
@@Stalicone You are out of your mind (typical Cali) LOL. Earthquakes are RARELY an issue for more than a few thousand people and damage is limited to minor to major structural issues that usually don't affect many people in a significant way and VERY rarely kill anyone. LAst "serious" earthquake was when???? SF Bay area during World Series over 30 YEARS Ago ?Hurricanes nearly always kill many and leave entire communities in shamble for long periods of time (Houston 5 years ago and New Orlenas KAtrina are just two of at least 10 in the past 20 years alone.
Years ago my mom trained for hurricane preparedness, she was told the absolute worse storm for our county (Manatee) was not a direct hit, but if the hurricane went into Tampa Bay. I no longer live in Florida, praying for all who are in the path of Ian.
*4 of 4* The homeless can simply move the tents they are using now into the homeless-village and the RVs are assigned a parking space. *Or the **_Shelter 100,_** provided by FEMA,* is a $9,500 shelter that is climate controlled, built in one hour, is 100 sq. ft., and uses a folding bunk system to house up to four beds. *_Pallet Shelter's_* private sleeping cabins offer *security* and durability. Which addresses the concerns of the homeless who reject the restrictions of “bed-only” homeless-shelters; for only one night.
Please everyone if you have pets do not leave them behind. If you are unable to evacuate with them, then call your local rescue or shelter! God bless you all!!
In the name of Jesus I seek your face to God the died of storm out too many people have got hurt because of the killings and things are going on in this nation I Seek You Lord we have not because we ask not these people don't know how to pray and do what your word says but I ask you Lord let this thing die down and no one be hurt in the name of Jesus Amen
Very well presented explanation of the variations in the models and the uncertainty in the final track. Loved the "windshield wiper" shift analogy in the left and right adjustments.
U guys are doing well 😄 you always have to make sure that you always love to see that we are preparing to be a always have a good time t be a head of how to put out we
What is the strongest hurricane to hit Tampa? The 1848 Tampa Bay hurricane, also known as the Great Gale of 1848, was the most severe hurricane to affect Tampa Bay in the U.S. state of Florida and one of only two major hurricanes to make landfall in the area, the other having occurred in 1921.
Of course, conditions that steer the storm are not the same as they were 101 years ago. Trying to forecast a storm's track by comparing them to past storms' tracks is not valid. But, maybe that's not even what you're talking about, Tony. I don't know.
I’m dreading this one 😵💫 I hope if it hits us here in Saint Petersburg- it ends up being like Irma. For us as a CAT 3 she should of tore us up worse. Each storm is different and the unknown is awful. Praying for all of us in Ian’s path 🙏🏻
I've thought about that also!!! I live just west of Savannah Georgia and know an electric car would be dead right in the middle of the interstate with a person asking who did it and WHY
Better yet, how about the 2/3's of the country that can or definitely has freezing winters. Anyone with half a brain knows EV's won't be worth jack in deep freezes or even sub 20's.
I believe the European model has a tendency to be right more often.... I could be wrong about that but I think that's the case. The two different models go about doing their modeling in a very different way. Everyone along the coast of Florida from just north of Naples all the way through the Panhandle should be prepared for really bad weather
Hello jb I watch your news all the time I followed gabby story all the way way I hope he's parents get put in jail for what they have done thank you for sharing the news you do awesome job
These are the component to create *Homeless Shelter Villages* [HSV] using _Pallet Shelter's_ existing HSV products: the _Community Room_ sells for $37,000, the _Bathroom_ costs $35,000, and the _Services Office_ costs $9,000. So for only $81,000 a city can establish a HSV. The two person _Shelter 64_ costs $7,000. 100 X $7,000 = $700,000. For $781,000 the city can establish a HSV for 200 residents. For $160 million a city can establish 205 HSVs to shelter 41,000 residents.
With the cold front up north of state and the land mass friction coefficient the storm will hit between naples and ft meyers and depending on strength of cold front cross the state then roll north. always remember cold dry air is more dense than hot humid air and will typically win the fight.
We have family in Puerto Rico and they are still without of power for 2 weeks now. Some have generators up high near mountains. But they NEED water and POWER.
everyone on west coast please be ready cuz who knows were it lands and all we know some were on west coast they going get sacked and east coast and inbetween were going get crap loads of rain i just hope it weakens when lands dont want to see no one in Florida get sacked buy hurricane i was in Andrew living in Miami and we really got sacked and life sucked for a few weeks my prayers go out too everyone on west coast is ok
*1 of 4* Cities can eliminate homeless tent encampments by replacing them with *Homeless Shelter Villages* [HSV] using _Pallet Shelter's_ existing *Homeless Shelter Village* [HSV] components. The _Community Room_ sells for $37,000 and serves as a shared laundry room, restaurant, *child daycare center,* and addiction services center. The _Bathroom_ cost $35,000 and the _Services Office_ costs $9,000. So for only $81,000 a city can establish a *Homeless Shelter Village* [HSV]. The 10'X10' *Camping Cube Sport Pop Up Tent* that costs only $120 provides protection from the elements; for two people and their belongings.
The fact you are pushing this with that name cannot be a coincidence. Oh, and BTW, do not use the blue and red heavy duty oak pallets. Those are rental property, and you can be sued for destroying them to make shitty housing.
Windy at this moment because of sandy soil vegetion are not in solid ground so shall stay at home to watch our plants Hail in from the cayman island 45 min of Jamaica coast one love. No man know Jah plan bless.🤣🥰
How is Miami going to hold up? I am by the water taking care of some dogs. It does not seem like I will need to evacuate (just yet) but I am only on the second floor and I am worried about my vehicle/water damage to the apartment complex. Does anyone have any info on how Miami dade county is impacted?
@@judithtaggart7146 THANK YOU I HAVE NO PLACE TO GO I HAVE A LITTLE DOG. MY FAMILY LIVES NEAR TAMPA I LIVE FURTHER, NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL TURN SO UNPREDICTABLE.
As it approaches west of key West, as a Category 4, is Miami in danger of tornadoes, even though Miami is not inside the cone? I see a lot of the RED color over Miami. Isn't RED the worst?!
The cold front isnt going to drop down like they thought it would......That will stop the northern pull to Tallahassee and the storm will turn and run up the 1-4 corridor in my opinion. That's why the cone of certainty has that huge circular blob in the panhandle now; because the models are still counting on a cold front to pull it north......but i doubt that will happen. I predict a Tampa/St Pete landfall and the I-4 corridor path straight into Daytona to JAX.
@@imandan1966 You don't even know what fascism means do you. Fascist means the state above the individual. Thats not Florida where it's the individuals right to choose. Don't use big words you do not understand.

*Paragraph 3 of 6.* _The UN is supporting a design for a new floating city that can house the homeless._ Unlike instances in the past when these futuristic designs have been met with skepticism, the executive director of the _United Nations Human Settlement Programme_ (UN-Habitat), Maimunah Mohd Sharif, said the UN would support and shepherd this project to fruition. "Everybody on the team actually wants to get this built," said Marc Collins, the CEO of _Oceanix,_ a company that builds floating structures. "We're not just theorizing." P
If you were in a motor home in the Lake county, Disney area and wanted to head to a safer area, in which direction would you drive and to what destination?
I would personally go towards WPB or Ft. Lauderdale. People will naturally head north so traffic will be somewhat better going south. The south east coast will still get some bands but it shouldn't be too bad and doable in an RV. Otherwise, I would head towards AL if you don't want any affects whatsoever. Those are your best two options in my opinion.
The east side of storm , ( bad side) may effect Orlando area; wind, trees down, lights out, rain. Hard to say where to go - we zig zagged state a few years ago. Irma?
We play this game everytime there is a storm in the gulf. The where it will turn game just to keep me interested. Every storm always has Tampa at some point in the cone of death.
Yes, it will be affected. It is likely in it's path. Pinellas county is low and has water on all three sides, and is not very wide from gulf to Tampa Bay. You are likely going to see significant storm surge(water being pushed out of the Gulf of Mexico) into land causing flooding, and wind damage .
*Paragraph 2 of 6.* _The UN is supporting a design for a new floating city that can house the homeless._ *Build and anchor these floating cities for the homeless ON LAND.* At a roundtable on Wednesday, the UN said *floating cities could help protect people from sea-level rise while addressing the lack of affordable housing in major cities.* What once seemed like the moonshot vision of tech billionaires and idealistic architects could soon become a concrete solution to several of the world's most pressing challenges. At a United Nations roundtable on Wednesday, a group of builders, engineers, and architects debuted a concept for an affordable floating city.
*Paragraph 5 of 6.* _We have 12 years to limit climate change catastrophe, warns UN_ At 1.5C the proportion of the global population exposed to water stress could be 50% lower than at 2C, it notes. Food scarcity would be less of a problem and hundreds of millions fewer people, particularly in poor countries, would be at risk of climate-related poverty. At 2C extremely hot days, such as those experienced in the northern hemisphere this summer, would become more severe and common, increasing heat-related deaths and causing more forest fires. But the greatest difference would be to nature. Insects, which are vital for pollination of crops, and plants are almost twice as likely to lose half their habitat at 2C compared with 1.5C. Corals would be 99% lost at the higher of the two temperatures, but more than 10% have a chance of surviving if the lower target is reached.
European model seems like its always to be pretty darn close I dont know why Also its interesting that dry air wind sheer etc can stop these Also Ahurricane which is low pressure system is steered by jet stream and Bermuda high When these things are even in there area 100-200 miles away they seem to make the atmosshere intollerable sucks air out and there humitiy is worse They are the perfect engine Really looks amazing even from space That is till you get hit by one And lose all your shit
It’s simple… it has a stronger supercomputer doing the math. And uses better data calculation methods. We r only using GFS still because why not.. and we r too proud to admit our system is garbage
