KHOU 11 Meteorologist Pat Cavlin has the latest track of the storm as of 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022. Ian has strengthened as it approaches Cuba. MORE: www.khou.com/article/weather/...
I live in Tallahassee. Hopefully the storm will just hit Tampa and clip right through the panhandle. My family has a generator tho. Shouldn’t be as bad as Michael. I wouldn’t mind a day off from college tho and some rain.
@@Rebel940 typical shameless selfish thought in common for a modern-day selfish man congratulations you represent a lot of people maybe someone's hoping will hit Tallahassee where you're at you ever thought about that?
Great explanation. He really kept me captivated and paying attention the whole time. Can't say I've been able to stay interested that long with any meteorologist.
Good job young man. Reside in Tampa, native Floridian from Lake Okeechobee. Been through, Andrew, Charley, Willma, Frances, Jean....etc. This guy is super sharp. not sensationalizing anything. Keep grinding and get to TWC young buck.
I been in many of the same hurricanes as you but I'm a Miami native but currently living just west of Tampa. I agree 100% this man is a good and detailed forcaster!!!
At the 10pm update btw it did indeed shift to the east again and even closer to Tampa that this update. Very knowledgeable now I know part of why Tampa is so vulnerable due to the shallow waters that extend way out never knew that thank you for that knowledge.
Hey Raquel, I'm Walker. The family and I are in Palm Harbor. This guy is legit, he knows his stuff. Don't stress too much. But, don't be complacent. The update the hurricane hunter gives us tomorrow morning is most likely tell the tale of what we are about to get in to. Good Luck.
Hi Raquel, I'm in central Florida. If your local authorities say to evacuate, do so. If you don't, best place to stay is in an inside room without windows. Usually the bathroom. Make sure you have canned food and bottled water, a radio with batteries, flashlights, and your medicines in a plastic bag. Good luck.
This forecaster makes me feel like I fully appreciate meteorologists more and how bless they are with the knowledge given by God. Here in Jamaica rains are still heavy as I text @ 11:18 pm
Prayers to Florida from Houston. We've been where you are, preparing as best we can and watching weather reports for any little change. It's a gut-wrenching experience.
Hello! Thanks for the detailed update. Stay safe and God bless! Alot of people here in west palm beach say it's gonna hit on west side. I am still preparing over here in west palm beach.
This station or channel gives the best updates so far, very in depth. I feel like I understand the weather and maybe on my way to becoming a meteorologist, lol 😆
Thanks for the upload!! This guy is a very good meteorologist!! Watching from Belize central america!! Prayers for every country in the storms pathway!!✌🏽🙏🌎🇧🇿☮️
Great meteorologist, I’m working in the Dominican Republic and i have a new appreciation for the power of hurricanes and those who study them. Thank you
All of y'all got that right! that young man is really good and never seems to run out of useful information. l'm a Tampa Bay Floridian myself also currently living on the northwest coast of Honduras. I kind of m i s s Tampa Bay though.- but not the tornadoes, hurricanes and that horrible lightning pretty much year round unfortunately. Which I don't seem to have any of that here kind of tucked away safe and secure so far -thank God! Also I'm a citizen of the Cayman Islands and went through hurricane Ivan some years ago which was a lot more powerful than the storm now approaching them.
Great way to break this down & explain the storm, especial for those of us that live up north that are interested in our American brothers & sisters down south. It's good to understand what's happening. Our prayers are going out to them!
Thank you for your broadcast. You are waaaay better at explaining, than my local forecasters here in SWFL.uncertainty is the key term....... super nervous bout this pattern hurricane after Charley; that was a cat 4, that took a right hand turn in 04
I feel like I've seen the future, so many variables broken down by your powerful brain, excellent delivery, lots of science, and insight. Where is this guy fr
Very good detailed forecast. Greetings from Florida btw I'm just west of Tampa very experienced in hurricanes andrew survivor preparing for the worst just in case but we will see how this plays out. I'd say it's going to hit somewhere 100 miles north of Tampa to 25 miles south of Tampa. My beast guesse is somewhere.near port Richie Florida as a cat 3 but we will see how this plays out on wendsday.
Hope it weakens too, but like he said multiple times, even if it does weaken the Gulf is still churned up and there will be a significant storm surge into Florida. Prayers for Florida from Houston.
Yes Pat hands down is the best 🤌 prayers to everyone in the path of this hurricane. I have family in Texas, Louisiana and Florida and hate to say this but this is why I decided to stay were I'm at now instead of moving back to the south. These hurricanes are no joke been through many and hate dealing with them. 🙏🙏🙏
COULD BE THE BEST EXPLANATION OF OVERALL CONDITIONS AFFECTING PEOPLE THROUGH HURRICANE WITH A LOW SHELF IN THE GULF THAT I NEVER KNEW ABOUT VERY INFORMATIVE BRILLIANT SIMPLE EXPLANATION HE COULD BE THE BEST!
The Euro model called for slow intensification today and has been consistent with the Tampa region forecast track for days now. The American model has now shifted back east more in line with the Euro.
I expect it to go a little more west because of the hot water it’s going to be a 4 when it hits land or a 5 right before it hits be prepared no matter what it is still going to be heavy damage no electricity for sure
