Over l the years of setting almost any carb ever, I start 1&1/4 turn out "off the set" of all the jets. They will almost always start an run well enough to tune them from there. Saved me a lot of burned pistons adding a shot of fuel right to the carb on every fresh 2 cycle I've ever put together. Get em right off the bat and you'll know where the carb needs to go pretty quick. She runs though and that's a great place to start! It's always better to start a little rich an lean it out to tune it in. Fat saws always seem to tune in easier from my experience from starting out lean. I'm not sure why that is. Good work man she's a ripper for sure! Another little note is you can usually put it right in the wood when it's rich and see how the first cut goes and how long it takes to clean up if it will. Then you really can feel how far in you can go to get that optimal performance. Nothing against your method at all because it clearly work! But I like to share me experiences if I think it could be valuable advice.
When you said (just shy of 7min) that’ll work, it reminds me of “Animal Farm” by George Orwell when one of the characters says “that’ll do pig, that’ll do”. 😂
Do you run a .325 or 3/8 chain? How much do you charge to port the 4910? I may have to pick one up LOL. It would be neat to see a ported 026 and this go head to head in a whack off.
Thank you Darrell! I'm going right now to chat with someone from RU-vid about it. I have multiple people complaining about the same thing. They can't find the Join button.
Okay Darrell, here's what I got: The "Join" button is not yet launched on some platforms. Viewers can, however, become members on desktop. You can still get access to perks on all available platforms if you sign up on desktop. The "Join" button will only appear on eligible video watch pages of participating channels.
Saw really hauls. Lot of people like the 4910/501P. I guess any saw is garbage if you beat the shit out of it! Not saying the owner or builder beat on this saw. Just my response to another BS comment. Keep up the good work.
Yes I feel the same way. Fortunately they still have many available for sale. Thinking about picking up a second one. It’s the perfect small saw. Versatile enough for limbing or cuttting a 20 inch tree.
Dude...... You be you and those that tell you to " act" a way that doesn't come " natural" to you can go be fakes somewhere else . Living ones life being fake for others acceptance is a sure sign of weakness .
