36:37 - Regarding the Squire (Mixed Card) According to the rulebook on page 1: "Mixed cards have both an immediate and a delayed effect. During the first activation, you place cubes on the card. On a subsequent activation, you can use the cubes to benefit from the card’s effect. It is impossible to place cubes and to use them during the same action."

Great playthrough! If anyone is interested, the Medieval French pronunciation of the city of Troyes was very different from the modern Parisian bourgeois way that people are used to now. Before the modern period, Troyes was pronounced not like twah but trway.

This was great, thank you! I was having trouble wrapping my mind around how this game actually flows. It's not really intuitive if you only read the rules.

And I thought Welsh had some weird pronunciations. Thanks for this video... you're very good at putting everything into context, like how you are essentially bribing the other dice to work for you, which helps to understand things better. The rulebook alone was a bit too much for my tiny brain to cope with 😂

In a two player game you start with all 6 citizens in your personal supply. So you never have to pay influence to use them.

At 23:03, you say that the Monks event makes it so only one person can go to that activity card. Is that a special rule for that particular event? The rules say "If all the spaces [on an activity card] are occupied, a player can still place a tradesman on the card’s illustration, but it won’t earn any VPs at the end of the game."

Could you post a link to those player mats? Can't seem to find them on BGG

@slickerdrips How did you get your playermats printed so nicely? Did you get this done at a print shop? They look to be too good quality that I could imagine this has been possible with a normal ink printer at home even with picture quality paper. Thank you very much! Btw such a pleasant play through!

There is official solo support for Troyes now, if you download newest rules pdf from pearlgames.be/boardgame/troyes/, roll down to the bottom of the rules book, and you will find: The King’s Challenge Solo variant rules, by Shadi Torbey. Could you please make solo runtrough on your channel. Thanks for great videos.
