Want to find out what your Testosterone levels are? Visit our friends at Let's Get Checked => trylgc.com/fitfather You can purchase an at-home testing kit and they mail it straight to you. No prescription or doctor visit required. It's easy, private, and confidential. We're a big fan of their "Male Hormone Advanced" and "Male Hormone Complete Panels" as you get to see Total T levels, Free T, Estrogen, and even things like blood Cortisol levels. Let's Get Checked is cool because you can order a kit and do the testing on your own... AND we also recommend working directly with your primary care doctor who can help you interpret lab results and potentially prescribe medication or Testosterone if indicated. Knowledge is power. When it comes to hormone levels, getting clear on your current numbers is the best first step. Good luck gents :)

I was just prescribed TRT but haven't had my first injection yet. I was told by a previous doctor that my levels were very low for my age (mid 20's) but they wouldn't prescribe until I was in the actual lower range (300-1400, I was at like 350). 6 years later I go to a new doctor and I had to demand the test to be done because I was "too young to be having testosterone issues" came back at 205. I'm nervous about having to be on something the rest of my life, but I'm looking forward to the effects I'm reading about.

I’m really sorry to hear that Mohamed. Depression very commonly destroys your sex drive and confidence. In case you go through depression again, there are many ways to improve your mood and get out of depression. I’m not saying these are the definitive answers for you, but these may be helpful suggestions: 1) get lots of vitamin D3 (both through supplementation and getting into the sun every day on your skin for at least 20min). Sunshine, vitamin d3, and circadian rhythms play such a huge role in mood and depression. 2) start exercising daily - even if you don’t feel like it. Exercise is truly our access point to our body’s “natural pharmacy”. When we exercise, our brain release endorphins and a bunch of other neurotransmitters that make us feel better. Do some kind of exercise you are interested in / gravitate toward.... whether that’s lifting weight, running, or practicing a sport. Do it daily. And take a walk outside in the fresh air daily. 3) get into a proper sleep rhythm. No staying up late watching tv or RU-vid. Reestablishing a circadian rhythm and sleeping better will help your mood tremendously. 4) if you watch porn / masturbate regularly, stop that. It wrecks your brain’s neurotransmitter balance and makes you more anxious and depressed over time. 5) eat as healthy as possible. Lots of non processed foods... fruits, veggies, high quality meats / fish, eggs. A clean diet will help your depression tremendously. I know this may seem like a lot... and it is. But you’re worth it. You can take charge of your mood and your life by making changes like these. You just have to decide to make these changes your #1 priority.... and to dedicate all the energy and willpower you do have to make these changes. If you do make that choice, you will start feeling better very quickly.

This is after 6 months of me doing all the, "follow these guides on improving your testosterone"/supplements/etc. I now know they don't work. Get to a specialist and get tested. I kept telling my GP that I swear my body is telling me I have low free test, but he would only look at total test. I took it upon myself to go to a specialist. TRT breathed life into my tired old body. I took a year before TRT and tried almost everything natural; stinging nettle, boron, Vit D, mucuna puriens etc...Total T went from 650 ng/dl to 715 ng/dl, however free T remained at the level of a dead man. It took a good six months to 'dial in' my correct dosage of exogenous T. So be patient. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) taken in conjunction with exogenous T will allow your testicles to continue to produce your normal T concentration, an added bonus. Also, HCG will prevent your nuts from shriveling into raisins.

Thanks. Good video. I’m on TRT right now and it’s been good. The thing I’ve noticed the most is it somehow gives me a sense of well being, hard to describe because it’s very subtle. I intentionally take low dosage (100mg per week) because I don’t need my brain to feel like an 18 year old again (if you know what I mean) - but it seems adequate. What seems a bit odd to me is - I’m told chemically that testosterone cypionate is chemically identical to the testosterone found naturally in our bodies so why would there be any “risks” by taking TRT that wouldn’t be present if your testosterone were naturally higher? Hope that makes sense. I guess my thinking is that I’m not too worried about any risks.
@seanostriker1660
@seanostriker1660 3 года назад
It’s because our bodies have signals going on through the process of feedback loops. So when we’re given testosterone exogenously (externally) it signals the body that there is plenty of testosterone around and that it can stop making it. Honestly if done correctly health risks seems to be quite manageable on TRT my hesitation is simply that it’s a lifelong decision because our natural production of T will be shut down completely if we ever wished to get off.

I noticed my T was low when I had issues getting out of bed in the morning. I would look at the time and notice I’d been sleeping 9-10 hrs but I would just lay in bed with no energy to get up. I thought I had mono or something... zero motivation to exercise or do anything physical.. I would get tired after the most basic things like taking groceries from the vehicle inside. The diet is a huge factor too. For years I ate fast food every other day sometimes twice a day. Been on test and estrogen blockers for 4 months and lifting / cardio multiple times a week. I’ve lost 30 lbs and went from being able to do 5 push-ups to 40 consecutively. At first my diet was poor and I was seeing no results but after I cleaned it up and only eat junk maybe once a week I’m noticing huge differences. I’m now starting to get feelings like I have almost too much energy like I just feel the need to go run or something. It’s helped me alot. I’m 31 with two kids. I’ve lost the feeling of depression but gained like a feeling of being a little more irritated at things. I play a healthy amount of video games and I’ve never been much of a rager but I did slam my fist down on my Desk a few times and it’s glass . Each time I would pause and think “ why did I do that ??” Luckily it’s not broken . It’s made me a little less passive I guess. I’ve noticed some pretty decent muscles gains as well . Nothing insane but It looks like I workout and I get compliments now about my figure. My plan is get blood tests again once I’ve reached some of my personal goals and see if maybe I can stop it and see where my T levels are after a bit. I’m lactose so I can’t really drink milk the only thing in my diet for dairy really is cheese and maybe some ice cream every two weeks. I eat nothing for breakfast except 2 cups of black coffee and vape nicotine. For lunch Usually tuna or some form of fish sandwich. Dinner is always chicken with broccoli or brawts with broccoli or some type of beef. I have maybe 6 slices of bread a week. I may have pasta like spaghetti or macaroni on the weekends and desert but that’s about it and what’s working for me while on this path. I found this video and thought I would share my experience.

Good video. My experience, TRT alone helped libido, erection, mental clarity/mood. If you want the weight loss, muscle development, improved recovery then you have to address your diet and physical activity levels. You won't get abs and lose weight by just going on TRT, you still have to work at it and eat right.

This is what a lot of men don't get. However, it is one step in the right direction since test does increase you body's ability to burn fat. You will see a slight change (all things being equal) because you went from low test to normal, but that's just where you would be naturally. Exercise would boost that even more, but you won't turn into the Hulk.

I am 72 years old and started on trt injections when I was 50. I’ve always gone to the gym regularly since I was a teenager. I had a good physique but got some fat around my waist in my mid-forties no matter how much I exercised. I got liposuction and was very happy with the result. I had my doctor check my testosterone level and it was just below the normal range. So I started testosterone cypionate injections - 1 ml weekly. I didn’t expect it to have much effect but about 6 months later I noticed that I was much more muscular. I also noticed that the weights at the gym seemed so much lighter. That was very motivating and so were all of the positive comments I was getting about my amazing physique. My dating life took off and I was very popular. My self-confidence soared. Trt was a real life changer for me. If you don’t workout hard and aren’t already in shape, I don’t think you’ll see much effect. I do think that it probably increases energy and self-confidence.some regardless.

It's hard to rely on general doctors. You must do your own due diligence. I have a general doctor who tested me for testosterone levels on my request. I had a flare up from Crohn's Disease, my level was down to 290 but as I went into remission my levels went up to 500, 300 to 1000 is normal range. Doctor says your in normal range with no need of trt therapy, but with Crohn's you loose a large amount of muscle and most fat. I couldn't gain back my original muscle weight but my doctor says your blood work shows your fine. My libido didn't exist so the doctor easily prescribed viagra. 3 years later I have another Crohn's Flare-up but this time I tell my doctor I'm going to get trt one way or another because that number 500 means nothing compared to what my body is telling me and I would like to have a doctor to monitor me, he then referred me to a Urologist. A high normal rate would be about double of my normal rate of 500. Inability to gain good muscle mass, low libido and low energy and the fact that I took a high amount of Prednisone which is needed during a server Flare-up, causes a lack of calcium/ bone density. My doctor should be telling me to take TrT but did the opposite. I studied the benefits and side affects of TrT and found TrT is an exact fit of what I need. Explaining tis to my Urologist he started me on TrT. Just two months on TrT prescribed by a Urologist, I haven't felt this normal in 5 years. My muscle weight is higher then it has been in 5 years, my libido and energy is great. With TrT and weight lifting I know my bone density will be better then any other normal doctor prescription. I believe the quick results are only due to the lack of what was needed in my body. This TrT range shown by doctors and used by insurances is inaccurate in my case. What do you think?

I used test recreationally in my mid/late 20's (about 500mg/week for building muscle) and I felt absolutely amazing. Felt super healthy, had nice muscle mass and just felt like I could do anything. Confidence was through the roof. That's when I met my wife, I had never been so confident with a woman until I was on it. I've been on TRT since 2005. 16 years now. I think I needed it even in my 20's though I didn't figure out what might be the problem until 2005 when I was 39. I had kids...no boner problems or anything but damn I was tired and lethargic all the time. I was relieved when I figured out it was low T and excited that I might get to feeling better. I remember getting my first shot and lying in bed that night. I truly felt this rush through my body like a rocket launching lol.... Of course it was all placebo affect but thats how desperate I was to feel better. It took about 2 months to start feeling better and it seemed to get better and better over the years. I'm 54, I've had no negative side affects. I feel great. I go to the gym and can actually feel my muscles. I think the biggest fear people have of starting TRT is they do not want to starting taking something they will need the rest of their life. This makes no sense. You can stop anytime. Of course you likely will not stop because you feel so damn much better.

I’m 41, my last testosterone level was 239. When I first went on trt, 5 years ago I had a test at 80ng/dL. It’s taken 2 years to get a doctor to treat my low t since my doctor moved. The average gp doesn’t know about testosterone therapy. I was sent for a cystoscopy that I didn’t need. Luckily the urologist put me back on trt. 4 months in and no longer grump, weak feeling or stressed out. Testosterone is a game changer and I’m never letting a doctor take me off of it again.

@tomterrific522

Wow. A lot of good information. Especially the natural T-boosters. My T-levels fluctuates between a low of 217 and 267, so clearly low. I finally have an endocrinologist who will prescribe me TRT but I wanted to do some more research before I take my first dose. I believe my starting dose is 200ml once a week. I did NOT know my body would quit producing testosterone so I'm now wishing I'd known about the natural boosters before. However, this video has only been available for less than a year and information good information is scarce! I'm with the VA and have been fighting to get testosterone for just about three years. I've had both physicians assistants refuse me (of course), but each of the three or four primary care doctors I've been through have fought me on it. My last one, when my T-level tested at 217(!) tried to tell me it had to be EIGHTY-NINE (89)!!!! before I could qualify for TRT!!! I told him that was the most RIDICULOUS THING I'D EVER HEARD! That loudly, too. He just stared at me. Then he told me only an endocrinologist could prescribe TRT for me. So I demanded a referral. He said he's send it in AND THEN DIDN'T! I was going to fight it but needed to concentrate on getting my hip replaced. Which was a whole OTHER drama. I finally got that done this past October - and received FANTASTIC CARE from the VA hospital in Las Vegas. But again, when I saw my primary in November, which is actually when he lied to me about needing an 89 T-level, he again said he'd send the referral but didn't. So instead I went through the pharmacist who was monitoring my diabetes because of all the complaints I had which could be either diabetes or testosterone related. She sent the referral which had to be with a local civilian doctor. He didn't take two minutes after talking to me and looking at my test results to prescribe testosterone cypionate for me. He asked me how I would have it administered. I said, "Hey! I'm a diabetic. I've been stabbing myself a couple times a day for nearly seven years. No biggie." "Great," he said. But still the VA slapped a delay on it, requiring copies of a bunch of his brand new records on me! So I took the script he gave me and had Walmart fill just two weeks worth. It costs me just $8.50 a dose, so no biggie! I'm planning on injecting it tomorrow. If anyone asks and I get a notification to remind me of this video, I'll give an update. Fingers crossed.

If you get on TRT learn to self inject. Otherwise you are going to the doctor every 2 weeks to get a shot...and they will charge you for that BS. I have my testosterone sent to me in the mail. Also, many doctors are very ignorant about testosterone. Mine used to give me injections every 3 weeks. Testosterone has a half life of about 8 days . Do the math . I was loading UP!....and then running out! If you self inject you can do it once a week and forget using Gels....been there. Trying to absorb testosterone through your skin is the dumbest and least affective way to administer it. I also eventually found a supplier so I can beef my dosages when I want to. Going camping or hiking this weekend? Why not boost your MOJO??

What an amazing presentation. first time i'm seeing this channel and am already mind blown! I (29 year old male) just recently had my testosterone tested at a urologist/andrologist and when the doctor called me to say it's low enough (didn't run me through the actual results) to warrant TRT, without explanation of anything he immediately wanted me to make a decision between gel and injection. I haven't tried any of the natural methods to boost free T before, neither clomiphene, human chorion gonadotropin or any of the likes. there was no talk about the risks or prevention of heart problems, gynecomastia, hair loss or liver problems (given an injection) either. I'm considering cancelling the appointment to inform myself better on this topic before making such a life changing decision.

Good call. At 29, going on TRT is not a decision to make lightly. We made a supplement that has the core stuff you’ll want to optimize T (Zinc, Mag, D3, Boron, Ashwagandha)… this may help: store.fitfatherproject.com/products/fit-father-testosterone-booster-rx Also, definitely see if you can try a run on Clomiphene on its own… a lot of guys have great success using 25mg every other day for 4-6 weeks under doctor supervision to test lab work. This is something worth exploring for you before starting TRT. Also, optimize your sleep… work on improving stress levels as best you can… those are big factors alongside what I shared above. You got this brother. Blessings and Godspeed. 👊🏼

Good discussion, for which I thank you. I'm age 62, went to bat against testicular cancer in January 1991, so I knew I was low on testo. My doctor ran the blood test and said I was at the low end of normal. He prescribed the TRT and I wanted to make sure it was safe as I lost both my parents to cancer and had it myself so I didn't want to invite any more health troubles than come our way naturally in life. Plus, I would get the indirect benefit for my bodybuilding efforts on which I guess have still done okay I guess, but my trouble is that I tend to compare my development to that of guys who are one-third my age and juicing. Anyway ... this discussion was very helpful.

@georgehewett6243 Год назад
@@davidetre Thankfully no side effects. I’m still on the TRT gel, but I cut the dose to every other day as opposed to daily out of necessity due to the cost of the copay. I nearly fell over the time I was purchasing without insurance coverage due to my job loss and the clerk at the pharmacy told me the cost was $500 for the one bottle. In any case, my urologist tells me the testo blood test results are fine, well within the normal range, even with the aforementioned half dosage. I would mention, however, that the first two or three months of TRT, I went through an apparent adjustment phase in which I was feeling as though I were a panther in heat. Was also excessively irritable and nervous. Was insatiably craving of sexual gratification. My urologist confirmed that such symptoms were entirely normal. Those adjustment-phase symptoms were, indirectly, responsible for my job loss, but I believe my employer was aware of it and that’s why the termination was handled in the most gracious manner possible. Thankfully the symptoms subsided once my system became accustomed to the TRT. Hopefully your urologist will run the appropriate blood tests every six months, including the PSA test. I’ll keep positive thoughts that your experience with TRT will be trouble-free.
