Perfect! Exactly what I need. The rounded edges of normal tailgate blockers won't fit around the tires of my quad. I need something with square corners. Plus this won't let firewood under the quad slide out. Where do I get one?
You need to get a lawyer and license your design to the truck manufacturers to built this into their tailgates. You will get a royalty on every pickup truck sold forever. Fucking Brilliant.
Great video. I was thinking about making the same design for my truck. I just recently purchased a short bed truck and have no room to carry large cargo. I hadn't realized that somebody had all ready made this design. I think it's a great design. I think your video is awesome. I appreciate your honesty I hope this works out for you. I wish you the best of luck.
Great idea. I've had something like this in my head for a while, and frankly, I'm amazed the OEMs or aftermarket companies haven't developed something similar. You should partner with a company like Diamondback Truck Covers to start cranking these out.
@@user-tm1qc9kf2hIf i ever get one this will be my first mod. The long bed is cool but im used to driving around my 2002 Ford Escape so yeah something shorter would suit me. I have a Motocross Bike and Occasionally hit up Big Bear in the Snow Seasons. I need a truck but it doesn’t need to be big
If this was designed into the liftgate it could slide backwards another foot to convert a 5' truck bed into 8 feet for hauling 8 foot lumber and sheet goods
when you put the tailgate back up it looks like it might bounce around, is there something in the design that would keep it locked flat when the gate is up?
i also see the possibility of a bed extender table for the camper enthusiastic off roader. just a another Tacoma mod and when not in use the tail gate is a flat surface easy on the knees when climbing in and out many great possibilitys
he is not hating, he is stating a point that it could be made for $30 probably because this guys setup is over $100 .... Why give him $100 when he can make his own for $30 ...
@@Slavic_Boer ahh .. NO I DID NOT ... it was a generic comment letting you know that i didnt know what proper response i should give to that stupid comment. If you considered that to be a response, then you have more problems than i already knew you had
That’s true of every bed extender on the market - including the OEM models from the factory. Based on that it would be street legal in terms of turn signals.
I'd pay in a heartbeat, it's such a great design, and convenient and sqaure. Only other square one I've seen is not collapsible. You have to pay for quality. Or settle for less
