I finally got a chance to get out for a bit of a turkey hunt. We had nice weather the first day but the rain kept us in the following day.
Jalapeno popper dogs were amazing and I would recommend them to anyone thats looking for an easy camp meal.

For turkey, you call and locate then go try a ground set up to call from

I generally try and do that. We heard them first thing in the morning coming from around the field so we decided to set up there. My buddy that was with me did go out and tour the woods for a while and i hung out in the field hoping he'd scare some out my way but he didn't see or hear anything . I do appreciate the advice though. I am still pretty new to hunting so any advice I always take into consideration. Cheers.

There's what's known as zippers. Call that causes a gobble.. revealing at a distance, where a turkey is.
