Gonna binge watch all these trip planning videos. I’m a new driver and I had 2 trainers, the first one didn’t know how to trip plan and the other said it didn’t matter just use the GPS. Now I’m on an account that goes into NYC and have no idea how to trip plan but your videos seem very in detail and helpful. Thanks for making them

I noticed you have been around for a while before I got my CDL in February 2020 i used to watch your videos and you are one hell of a trainer. Keep up the good work and I appreciate the effort you take into drawing out waypoints with these atlases.
Thanks for making your videos educational / valuable videos so many people that make RU-vid videos show new people to trucking everything except what is important to them. Showing off a nice truck and telling funny jokes isn't a valuable tool to trucking. Junior you are a number one trainer hands down! Be safe out there brother!

Even though I know how use atlas and maps, you rock in showing all of this information. You are awesome! Sometimes as in many times, the gps (bitch in a box) is so off and takes you way out of your way. Thank you sir, you rock!

now once you get a good over view of your route thru the Atlas. would you still put it in a GPS so that when you hit city and town roads. it can help navigate to the actual facility

How much time do you give yourself to write all that information down on the yellow pad from the qualcom and then going into your map book and check in your routes and writing all that information down? Because I know you have an ETA of when you gotta get to your pick up and to your delivery but all that time you're taking to write everything down read everything on the qualcome go through your map book write everything down for the pick up at the shipper the directions to the shipper then directions to your delivery point. Also it does seem like it's very detailed very good but it obviously takes some time so do you go on duty not driving while you're doing this like you would if you're doing your pre trip or fueling or your post trip since you are working how does that work?
Just wondering why you did not consider or mention 10 E to 17 N then 40 E. This seems to avoid the going South on 10, and the curvy hook over the mountains on 40
Junior, just a question I've had for you - with an atlas, it only figures in state highways, U.S. highways, and of course interstates. But how do you figure in the local roads to get to the shipper and receiver with an atlas? Do you have all 48 state atlases along with the big one of the country?
