Found your channel a few weeks ago, I’m just getting a chance to watch your older videos and learn more about you. I really admire the way you live life. I’m a little envious! You mentioned your dad coming up from the north GA mountains. I live in the northwest corner of SC near the border with GA/NC. I’ve spent a lot of time in the mountains of GA/NC/SC/TN. It’s a beautiful place to live, but Alaska is truly beautiful. Hopefully when the kids are grown, I’ll be able to visit Alaska. Love your videos man. Living the adventures along with you. Also love the construction videos. Awesome channel!!!
I see you play the guitar awesomeness your comfort zone is incredible your kindness and happiness in making your home shines greatest in your heart and smile Many blessings
Became my favorite channel by far. Feel like this is every dudes dream that is into multiple things. I like to mountain bike, canoe, hunt, camp, hike, hockey, hit music festivals, etc. this is my dream. Living most active dudes dream.
She is well sealed, love the backdoor and the porch is awesome, i could sit fishing 🎣 all day smoking a few doobies and some cold sodas🤠, living the dream 🇬🇧🤠🙏🤟🪓
I watched your latest videos first before I came across this one. It was nice to see how it all began. You do a very good job editing. Never a dull moment. Thanks for the videos!!!
New sub here, been binge watching about a dozen of your vids today and thoroughly enjoying each of them a lot. Hope to be a full-timer within the next few years, so here to learn and absorb as much as possible from like minded folks such as yourself. Thank you for sharing your life, journey's and adventurer's and look forwarding to catch up with your other vids as well as seeing what you have to have to share with us in the future. Stay safe out there...
I wanted to live in Alaska since I was in my 20s, never did it yet, now I'm in my mid 50s, guess I better hurry up, you gave me some good ideas. Love your home by the way, oh n that ford with the custom paint
Well Tim I luckily stumbled across one of your videos a few months ago and have watched everything you have posted since last summer. Im going to start here where we first meet your Truck House and work my way up. Your channel is inspiring. Hope your having an awesome day.
Just found you! Love, love, love you, the truck, and everything you just said. You truly are living my dream. Amazing! Can't wait to watch more of your life and adventures.
I used to live in Girdwood back in 1981 or 82. I lived in a double wide mobile home right at the T getting on the main road. Used to be a Texaco gas station and a jewlery store right there as well. My Family ran the jewlery store. I miss Alaska so much it breaks my heart. Love your Channel.
I'm in love with this brother I've been a carpenter for 22years and this is something that I'm gonna build !!! Most definitely you just gave me the inspiration thank you !! Keep on keeping on 💀⚡
Absolutely love this !!! I also enjoy the fact you do NOT have a poverty mentality like so many people do. You did an amazing awesome job and I applaud you for getting out there and EXPERIENCING ENJOYING the life you’ve been given to do so.
Just watched your latest video premier this morning ( 12/30/23 ) and now going back to the beginning with a tour of your truck house. A very Happy New Year to you :-D
I've seen your other video on this truck build but this video is the best. You did a great job planning and building a very efficient living space. I don't know what you do for a living but you could surely build some custom truck homes for other people. They would get better with each build as you gain knowledge. Enjoy your adventure.
haha to each their own, but after full-timing a while I learned what I used and didn't use;^) Always enjoyed your videos man! I'll be driving down to Overland Expo West this spring so hope to see ya there!
I love your work, and your videos too. Awesome job on the Truck Home and some great tips on what you need, vs what you Don't need and how to do it right ! Thanks again.
Love it man! Just love it! Your style is perfect, laid back but also straight to the point. Made me want to keep watching. I just drove through Alaska this past summer and skipped right past girdwood (I'm told that was stupid) anyways, I grew to 58k subs in 2019 and I honestly think you could kill it on youtube full time, and I'm only 1:31 into the video! Lol I'm sure you have TONS of stories to tell and I want to motivate you to keep making videos because I think you've got something here. I hope to run into ya on the road someday!!
Thanks man I appreciate! I'm thinking about getting into making videos, but all my equipment is super outdated. I made this video with my cell phone video recorder, a tiny microphone And used my old 2010 Macbook with iMovie... Seems like you have to spend 3 or $4000 to get a Laptop that can handle editing, final cut pro or Adobe premiere pro and a decent camera to put out a decent looking video these days... I might look into it if there's enough interest:) Cheers and swing on by if you're ever up this way again
@@TruckHouseLife I would say just keep making videos with what you have and add to it as you can. A drone is the best money you can spend to really up your game in my opinion but of course needs to be flown a lot. The quality on this video was great. If I could recommend a camera, I use a $600 Panasonic vxf1 camcorder that has been amazing for vlogging, shooting wildlife with a great zoom, etc. But shoot, your phone is good enough for a lot of stuff. Anyways I'd love to see more videos. I subscribed and tapped the bell for notifications so I'll try and comment as much as possible to keep the engagement flowing! I really think you've got something here and I will definitely have to meetup with ya when I'm up that way again. Hopefully next summer
Killer setup! I've got the same truck and with my girl and i breaking up I think it's time to get out of California! Definitely considering throwing a camper on my 7.3 diesel and trying that lifestyle. One question..I have no interest in RU-viding so how do you bring in money? Im 36, and a carpenter/remodeler...
@@cencoast_7.340 I don't make a dime YouTubing, I teach drivers ed and work random environmental science gigs when I can. I'm based out of Alaska, so I'm not driving all around the country with no job or anything like that;^) but you should do it!
@@TruckHouseLife To start a RU-vid channel I spent under $600 total for a Windows laptop (new, but I usually buy refurbished), a video camera with separate mic, a tripod, a video editing program (Filmora9) and a couple of royalty-free music subscriptions. Probably should have gone another hundred or two for a computer with a faster processor and more RAM.
Amazing. This is by far the coolest tiny house I’ve seen and I watch a lot of tiny house nation. I really want the feel of camping while I’m on the road and I feel like this captures it! Also, it’s beautiful!
Looks like you are really having a great time and have a fantastic home on wheels. I say enjoy and keep the videos coming. I do want to point out that when you mention that Americans spend 37% of their income on housing that when you buy a home in most areas of this country, and when you sell later in life that you do stand to get all your money plus much more back. We lived in a home we purchased for 27 years and when we sold that home not only did we get all our money back but walked away with over 500k in profit that we used to buy our retirement home / detached shop on 10 acres in the Sierra Mountains. We do have an RV and travel frequently and love that but having a home to return to is also really nice. Just our experience, I completely respect yours and wish you all the best.
@@tkelly1087 It was just as hard 40 years ago when interest rates were 11%. We (my wife and I) had to work over 2 weeks just to pay the mortgage payment. Rent at that time was 1/4 of the cost. i'm not saying that our decision was the right decision for everyone but it certainly was for us.
Love everything about it, Period. I designed my own camper with a solar-oven (polypropylene greenhouse panels) over the cab. This would get hot enough to not only cook with but also dry wood and clothes and have a vent system to help heat or cool (vents draw out the hot air) the living space. And instead of a woodstove, I designed a rocket mass stove that holds the heat longer. Whether any of this would be practical, who knows, but I can dream can't I? :D
Looking at your recent drive up north, I thought I'd look for a build video. It's good you explained a bit how you built this. Good to know the spray foam has worked out so well. Thinking to build something. Truck camper, cargo trailer, something else 🤷♂️ who knows? Thanks. Safe travels.
You've got extraordinairy moxie, and survival skills, more than the average bear. 🐻 👍 To say your vids are learning material is call Alaska cold. Learning in the forefront with you, is a byproduct of your existance. Natural. I thank you for sharing that!😎👍❤
You 100% correct bout spray foam , we use industrial spray foam twin packs an it will seal up an frim up a lot , our company builds small imp panel type freezers an walk on ceiling using this foam an it’s great
Man I really wish I knew how to do all that stuff cause that would help out so much right now. Biggest thing is how much money you save by not paying household bills or rent. So awesome. Btw found you on TikTok and it lead me here.
Just found this video in my feed. I love the cabin. Thanks for sharing about the windows, I have seen windows fog up before, like you described in the video! The wood stove & oven make it a perfect home, in my opinion, I would want both of those too! I subscribed to enjoy your future adventures💖🇺🇸🏞
That door you built is beautiful. Actually, I like your entire build and love, love, love your truck! Looking for the same one in black cuz I'm going to try out this life style soon. Thanks for sharing. 😉
Thank you! It was fun building the door, first one I ever built, lol. Glad you found inspiration, that's what it's all about! I'm going to start building 2 to 4 of these truck cabins per year, so spread the word if you or anyone you know is interested:^)
@@TruckHouseLife Timmy, I live on the Kenai Peninsula, and I would be interested in one of those slide-ins. Put me down for one. At gmail it is daverileyak Let me hear from you.
@@TruckHouseLife I've been tossing the idea around for a while now. I'm a builder and I think it would be amazing to travel around in something I built. But just curious. What would a mini slide in camper like yours sell for?? Ballpark
@@daveriley6310 What up Dave! Just got your message man, hit me up at coldriverpublishing@hotmail.com if you are interested in a cabin camper and we can talk:^)
Hi, good to see another video pf yours especially what appears to be one of the first ones where you show us the truck house. Living one the road like this is very appealing; I wonder if you ever miss setting down roots somewhere? I like the idea of living efficiently and this is a perfect way of like for someone who knows how to condense and minimalize. I like your videos gonna check out part 2.
For your 🍕 pizzas , you can also try making a calzone which all it is a pizza dough folded like a taco and your choice of ingredients is endless cheese ground beef sausage mushrooms spices and bake
Timmy u just one honest good hearted man , man thanks for sharing all of your adventures with so many of us an those who hadn’t seen ya vids are missing out , we will recommend them to scope you out brother , I’m catching up lil by lil on vids , stay safe out there in tha wild man an see u in the next one
Very inspiring great build I’m an old 69 yr old widow woman I’m ready to hit the road and travel I have a house and I really don’t need this big space any longer so I’m ready
Nice truck camper. So far I have not found but two that has been homemade, yours and one more. I really like yours in comparison. I wish you had a video of you build but I understand. I hope to see more videos from you soon.
