43 years driving in the states. Retired year ago. Owned my own truck most of them years. Did over road 10 years but last 33 was local, hauling gas. Home every night. Biggest wish was that I would be able to come down there and truck a little with you guys. Never happened. I love watching all the Australian trucking shows when I can. Farming now. Wish I love. That’s how I started life. lol. Take care young man. Always hug the little one. They may grow fast. Take care
Finished near where I live, Chiltern. We see you guys from our back porch go by North and Soith bound, lit up like Christmas trees at night. We can hear you on a still night but used to it now. Give us a toot sometime.
How do you like the guardian? Have one in the trucks I drive and can't even scratch your head or laugh without it going off. And it'd be nice to tow a b-double less tyres to check. Good onya mate drive safe
you would be in hand cuffs and in side a prison cell if the police stop you here with those shoes on driving, don,t see the fosters being pack in the food baglol . good video be safe
Mate, regarding your trailer lights. Old mate on The Homeless Trucky had a fix. He used a phillips head screwdriver to slightly spread the fingers on the centre pin on the plug on the trailer plug so you get good contact when you plug the electrics in. Hope that helps
Awesome video. Its great to know what its really like vs the ambulance chasing media doing stories on the "dodgey truckie". Kudos to you, safe travels and best wishes to you and your family!
Noticed the CB chatter Not a trucker or anything I like your story this is why I watch. Watch a few other trucker channels from uk for entertainment like trucker Tim o and the CB not a standard accessory like au and us in Europe Possibly a content idea buddy PG rating of course You have a interesting story keep it up mate
Hi , About your truck popping the circuit breaker .. I would check the electrical plug .. both ends where it attaches to your truck and then to the trailer and the whole cord to make sure there are no crossed wires. If you can't find it then get a new one from your depot/Maintenace mechanics. That would be so annoying and it seems to happen no matter what trailers you have, that's why I think it's the trucks electrical cord or plugs . Thanks for the video.
There’s a lot of us motor racing fans and truckies that have total respect for Don Watson Transport. It must of been an impressive sight seeing the convoy of fleet units on the road.
I admire your driving skills and experience. Trucks are the back bone of Australia. It's very concerning the high price of fuel to operate , tyres, ect. Plus being away from family. Your blogs are good and extremely educational thank you.
Ziptied thongs, ANZAC spirit - making the best out of any situation with what you've got at hand. Wonder what the rego on those thongs cost in QLD hahahah
So your going to split and leave your A at BP when you have a depot 5mins around the corner. That's a big reason why that BP is completely fukd when guys need to park for a shower and feed. Very thoughtful of your to consider others.
I try and avoid adding times to the videos mate a lot of people love to pick it all apart and try and make out like I’m doing something wrong with my log book 🤷♂️ sorry mate
They really need to F all the locals off that treat the shit as a yard. Imagine you were deadset needing your 7 and can't. Luckily you have a yard close. Its the same story no matter where you are unfortunately
Another Awesome vid Bud, I loved the speed footage of you driving to get loaded near the end, I think it's called time lapse - I think. Either way you definetly do it again, maybe brisbane to gold coast in distance. Your content is On Point, so just keep pumping them out and before you know it you'll get your first You Tube Subscriber Plaque ( 100k ), I wish you luck. Catch you in the next one.
chur bro you have a merry Christmas and a happy new year and your family from a person who's loves trucks from Hamilton east new Zealand bro choice videos awesome
Nice vid, cool seeing something a bit different. Was a good mix of pov and facetime. Don't know about those jandals though mate, that was such a kiwi thing to do! hahaha
I'm a non trucker from NZ with a class 5 that I got while living in Australia. It was a bucket list of mine. Never really drove but wish I did. Now my bucket list is complete. Just got my commercial pilots license. love your channel
I’m guessing you didn’t get to witness those two single trailer trucks like only 3 months apart tipped over on their sides entering the on ramp at 6:30? What an absolute drama it was, traffic was almost backed up to the port of Brisbane. Another day a huge overload semi was trucking a 60 tonne plant machine and it dropped through the rusty trailer at 90 km/h and dug into the Port of Brisbane motorway, left a crater in the road over a metre deep. Would of been a hectic ride.
Nice one pal, it used to be nice traveling with a few boys, and occasionally a girl who was one hell of a driver, we'd chat and look after each other. Great vlog, nice info , funny bits. You've got the lot.
Love the videos matey, was going to come say hi to you when you were in the cage in Melbourne today but me and the boss man were way to busy unfortunately sorry mate 😂😂
