today was my first day to get road practice and my instructor took me right to downtown....I did what you did on video all day long.....I was so embarrassed to block whole intersection but now I feel confident. I am so thankful to my instructor who did it on purpose hahaha
Dude.. that is a goddanm nice bit of driving. i seriously respect you for gettin in and out of that nightmare with no damage at all to your rig or the dock. and btw you have a beuatiful pete!
damn man danny i love your channel specialy the vid you made when you had the lil' convoy with the power wagon :D so much ill be the 3th generation of trucker in the famaly as soon i hit 18 to get my lisense and hopefully one of these day we will met some where on the road ! take care on the road !
it's good to see people writing in the comments appreciating what it takes to be a driver it's one thing driving on the freeway miles on end but get into a big city we're all the little people there think they own everything in sight driving truck becomes a whole new game great video driver
Ha Ha. Poor guy. Felt sorry for him when he said "I don't see no round building. They're all square." He was sitting right at it. The Westin Peachtree Hotel is a 70 story round building but the base of it is square. If he had craned his head up he would have seen it.
I drove otr for 10 years, and when i got to a big city, i was always relieved to get back on the highway. My hat is off to bud, your a real truck driver.
First I do not care about the you call it music....BUT I realize the music from the truck's engine is no longer music to your ears, so okay I understand the - - - - - - noise, a great video, thanks for the memories it brings back to me, and I'm sure many more yesterday drivers ....Johnny B.
I've been to America's Mart, apparel side, to buy next season's clothing for my ex wife's boutique. We've eaten at the Hard Rock and spent a night in a hotel on Peachtree. I'm glad I don't have to go there again... Good job with that rig!
HOLLY COW... First:Let my say THX for the city drive.. Was great to see all these Skyscarpers and streets around Atlanta.. Second: You made a great job backing into this spot..I would get problems with my cabover truck..Its hard to imagine to drive with a "Nose truck" like we call them here..THX for a great drive and NEXT STOP VAS VEGAS i guess..
I start tomorrow hauling sod to metro Atlanta. I drive in South Georgia which is a breeze but when I was told I'd be in metro atl every day had me nervous. Seeing this video doesn't really ease the nerves though. Hat off to you bro. Cold as ice out there.
The downtown connector sucks in Atlanta. That is the only thing I don't miss from growing up in Atlanta and living there for 20 years more or less. This video has the connector at a fairly decent time with virtually no traffic, but rush hour..wooowee. There are like 4 million cars on that sucker, totally stop and go and people weaving in and out...dangerous.
i feel your pain driver. this video was hard to watch. im feeling the stress and chaos boiling through me as I'm having flashbacks to my own big city experiences. to add to the misery, i pull a spread axle. keep on trucking!
wow thats tight in there i got my cdl now since july last year i got it man hoping i dont have to go under buildings like that and have that tiny tiny bit of room to get it a dock
my dad has a run that takes him into cinci every day lol sometimes they aren't ready to load him so he is late and hits the off work idiots. its frustrating but hes home every weekend so hes happy, another frustrating thing for him sometimes is that his clutch is going so its a bit harder to shift
@crosscountryvideos lol yeah I've been living in a small town in the Ozarks for the last 7 or 8 years. At first I thought the waving was odd but after a year or so I got into it and now I'm to the point where I feel a little offended if someone doesn't reciprocate when I wave at them! Funny how that goes. :P
The Mart in never an easy place to get in and out of. Luckly you where there on a very slow day. I have seen it where the trucks are lined up around the block waiting to get in.
@skoal1822001 ya buddy,i used to think that wavin at folks you don't even know was a southern thing, but travelin all over the USA i have a different perspective on the waving now.It seems no matter where you are in the country,it's the country folk on the outskirts of town who have what i have named "the wave" lol
Never mind those motherfuckers, bro...as long as we (truckers) not doing anything wrong or any illegal stuff, we're always gonna ba alright ! We're always gonna be the "unsung" heroes...!
Excellent job i have never seen anyone drive into a building like that to get loaded what did you pick up? anyways i'll stick to oilfield driving it feels safer haha good job
thats some fucked up shit..lol hate places that are right downtown like that some can be a bugger with a day cab ..never mind a highway unit would be nice if they had a warehouse outside town where the would send the straight truck back and forth with the loads going out.... probably to much money but would be nice..lol were there any scrapes on the walls going in ...seem tight by the vid....nice they gave u a spotter going out thought props to that...lol great job though
I really enjoy your videos.... I just wanna suggest if is possible do not edit the videos, i mean... just leave the recording going all the way... two, three hours what ever it takes... that will be interesting.... check it out those videos "Driving a Truck from Saint-Mihiel to Meaux in France and to Brunsbuttel in Germany".... but the perspective of your videos are much better :).
