OOooohh! I see. With my nepotism statement you thought (Hey, where'd your comment go?) I was making a direct reference to the Podcast host and his bro. with regard to their parentage. The truth is his/their parentage never crossed my mind until I tried to make sense of your comment. This is because the podcast host and his brothers' churches and ministries are anything but "killed". Sure, some doors were opened for them, but they made their bones, and their ministries and churches are fruitful. God gives us all our own path to walk, nothing to be jealous about, and "to whom much is given...". It all equals out. No, my comment is in reference to something altogether different. This is a phenomenon that many have observed but are less likely to talk about, and it is this; The promotion of family members (usually, but not always, fathers prematurely elevating their sons) in ministry who may not/are not adequately equipped or gifted to function fruitfully in that particular ministry resulting in damage to the church. There is an article somewhere online entitled "Body of Christ or Family Business? Nepotism in the Church." This article references dark ages nepotism in the Catholic Church but highlights the fact that religious organization nepotism signifies spiritual deterioration. Anyway, like I said, a book could be written about this rearing its unfortunate head in the UPCI.
