Excellent understanding of the Devine and fleshly covering of Almighty God. God had to robe himself in flesh to fulfill atonement for humanity. Without the man Christ Jesus there can be no shedding of blood and without that shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Without the name, there can be no adoption. How amazing and almighty our God is. Thank you Pastor Urshan, I love your teaching as you have been given the divine gift from God!

Thanks! There are so many ways to describe the One God. It may be countless. Using only a singular reference wouldn't be accurate. Why? The God of the OT (and the NT) is known by Jews and early Christians as being ALL of existence (alpha and omega/ beginning and ending). So, "all of existence" chose to reveal, express, and manifest itself into the single personality of one human being. The man known as "Jesus the Christ". It changed man's perception and understanding of God. But God himself never changed. He's still ALL of existence and will always remain that way. There's no other existence beside his. God's 'glory' (multiple attributes) can and will only ever be revealed, expressed, and manifest through Jesus the Christ as Lord of all. We can actually 'see' and experience the 'personality' of the One God through Jesus. It's this same personality of the One God (in Christ) that we are to exemplify. When we choose to "be like him" we're in harmony with all of existence and will continue to live...................

The Holy Spirit can not be a third person in a trinity because the Word describes the Holy Spirit as the the " Spirit of God( Father) and the Spirit of Christ( Son) ( Rom.8:9-11). The Spirit of one person with a duality of Spirit united to form one Spirit, Spirit/Spirit,Soul,and Body.

@msklav63 well, I think it’s better to tie scriptures together from one place in the Bible to another (it’s called line upon line and is the correct way to interpret scripture -in light of every other scripture) than to make up terms that are not even in the Bible such as ‘coequal, coeternal, Co essential, God The Son, God the Holy Spirit, Trinity and make a doctrine out of them. Tying the scriptures together is the way to study to show thyself approved into God, a workman that needed not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Look at it that way and that might help you. Amen.

If those comments weren't there I would have liked to let them listen to it. It would be helpful to not include those comments when trying to introduce someone to a viewpoint there not used too seeing.

I agree with you bro Urshan, but I don't think that is completely correct when you assume that to say that saying the Father was on the cross means that the Spirit died... one day I will die, do I not have a spirit? What happens to anyone's spirit when they die? The spirit leaves the body and the body dies. The idea that I spirit ceases to exist when a person (any person) dies is a bit silly is it not? The Father was in Christ on the cross, just as my breathe is in my lungs, was He not?

I understand your point. Some feel that Jesus was simply a human with a Divine presence animating him. His “Spirit” was simply God. That is problematic on many levels. Not the least of which is that makes Jesus fundamentally different from us. If Jesus is to be our atoning substitute he had to be made like unto us. If he is simply animated by God’s Spirit that left him and then returned three days later, that is not genuine humanity. That is akin to a puppet being controlled by divine power. Jesus death had to be a genuine human death or he could not be a genuine substitute for mankind. In Luke 23 as Jesus dies, he says to the Father “into your hands I commend my spirit”. Many have debated this. Trinitarians say it is two persons In the Godhead which is most certainly not true. There is an articulation of God as Spirit dealing with humanity in their “human” spirit i.e. His Spirit (capitalized S deals with their spirit (lower case s) Rom. 8:15-16. This then presents the idea that God as Father works with Jesus the Son in some fashion to where His Spirit is connected to His humanity. Whether that is silly or not I cannot say. I do know much thought a prayer has gone into how to grapple with these concepts. How this works is a mystery. Paul tells Timothy that “great is the mystery of godliness”. How to define the Spirit of the Father and the humanity of Christ is an area that I don’t know is possible to articulate completely.

I can be completely wrong and completely off for me and I pray the Lord will redirect me I'm off but in my mind God had a plan when he made Adam and Eve and he's playing if you in your spirit or in your mind pull way back and see the beginning of the word of God and see where it is going to end at Jesus wanted to make himself into a fleshly phone physical being and wanted us to be made into a fleshly lonely physical being so when all of this is all said and done like Paul said the one thing I do know is that when he shall appear we shall be like him, in my mind I might be explaining this terribly but God wanted to bring Mankind and God which is a spirit to a place where we all God himself and the man that is made without hands the glorified God which was glorified to where he could appear in a room and then disappear from a room that had the doors and the windows closed, so you could touch him you could feel him you could hug him but at the same time he could disappear and also by filling us with the Holy Ghost, and I'm probably doing a terrible job explaining this but I can see it in my head and I'm trying to get it out and works but when he started off in the spirit he breathes a spirit into Adam so Adam become the first living Soul it did not say it was the first living person cuz they were people on the planet because there wasn't people on the planet then Kane wouldn't have been scared of every man that he come across was going to kill him and God made a proclamation then that if any man touches Kane that he would have God to deal with so he's obviously other people in the world where everybody always acts like it was just Adam and Eve and they must have been having sex with their own mother and father and all that stuff, that is not what it means there were men and women on the planet I just feel like that they was not filled with the spirit of God or what God breathed into Adam's nostrils which made him become the first living soul to me they were just without Souls, but God wanted to create himself a body that firstly he knew he was going to have to sacrifice this body of his to cover the people because without Bloodshed there is no remission so he knew that and at the same time he wanted to make a place when she said I go make a place and he wanted to be in a form that all of us together would be in the same form like I said Paul saying that when he shall appear we shall be like him, this to me is what but when these bodies finally are called and they are transformed in a twinkling of an eye they would be glorified bodies just like the Living God Jesus Christ and we shall be like him and will be able to touch him and love him and obviously eat with him just like he did the only one thing we won't have is blood he had to make a way of Escape for man and then he had to make that glorified body Anthony had to make our glorified body which will happen in the end time or in the time of his calling when he comes the saying that he went away in the clouds the same shall he returned, now I pray the Lord to forgive me if if my imagination is run wild I pray he will direct me and and give me the wisdom and information I need but this is what I believe the Lord Has Done is made it to work we can all be together and he he has a body a glorified body just like will have a glorified body god of the heavens the master of the universe the master creator you always be the Living God and we're going to worship and love him for eternity because we'll have these glorified bodies as well so that we can touch him and we can love him and I'm sure I'm going to aggravate the Daylights out of them because I'll be wanting to love on him all the time it takes everything I've got now just to try to love on him when I can't even touch him physically

This makes it sound like Jesus was an independent human man who has a separate, independent God sharing His body with this man. Correct me?
@TheBiblosNetwork
@TheBiblosNetwork Год назад
Jesus did have a human will. He subjected it to the Spirit. There was a union between the humanity of the man Christ Jesus and the Spirit of God. I Timothy called this a great mystery. That God could be manifest in the flesh. I don't know we can say Jesus was independent or separate because he states in John 5:30. "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." John 5:30 There has never been a man like Jesus. The mystery of the Incarnation is that He was both God and man.

You have to argue everything from an eisegetical starting point. A Oneness person can’t just read the scriptures as is without putting their presuppositions onto every obviously plural text (OT & NT) including the one that says the Father is one witness and Jesus is another witness, this is two persons.. You can try to redefine the orthodoxy understanding of “nature” vs “person” but you will just be living in a reality that doesn’t exist and arguing a straw man. A "nature" is an abstract term to define your inclinations, motivations- the whatsness of your being that drives your will and decision making. A "person" is that which does the actions driven by the nature... a person communicates, expresses emotions, expresses self awareness and distinct cognitive abilities, is able to recognize others, and is able to love (historically, a person isn't just a "human being" in the way that I am a person or the way that you are a person). It's important to understand how the current definition of "person" hasn't always been that way. In the Trinity- the persons do not make up 1/3 of God each, but rather the being (nature/essence) of each Person is equal to the whole being (nature/essence) of God. Now that we've educated ourselves beyond the level of a grade school child, any time Oneness advocates chalk up Jesus's conversations with the Father to "just his humanity speaking" they are misusing the term "nature" and are illogical, thus expressing they don't understand basic definitions regarding the world around them. Again, you're simply not living in reality where definitions and understandings of those definitions matter like the rest of us. You simply choose irrationality to grasp onto your false beliefs (that no one in history has ever held until 1915-1917). Let’s not completely miss the point of John 8 though, as a Bible teacher you should be well aware of that fact that in this chapter, Jesus is explaining every which way to these people that he is God (it's why they wind up picking up stones at the end of the chapter to stone him to death), so all this twisting of scripture to make it seem like he's speaking only out of his humanity, or that, “just the man,” is speaking here (as if Jesus humanity and deity can separate in his body) is biblically incorrect ...It’s Nestorianism borderline Kenosis heresy. Jesus is the God-man not God in man. God does not simply live in Jesus this is incredibly heretical. Jesus IS God. He can never separate himself from his deity on earth, only when he dies does his spirit depart his human body because it’s logically impossible for deity to die (deity by nature is eternal and flesh by nature is temporal until glorified). Just as when we die only our fleshly human body dies. Though he has since taken up his human body in heaven now. And to address another remark you made, trinitarians can hold the belief that Jesus, being a distinct person yet God, is not equal with God the Father, in a sense, by just simply reading Philippians 2 that tells us, “who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped (pre incarnate Jesus here), but emptied himself, by taking (entering into the world) the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men (incarnate Christ). And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Speaking back on the two witnesses in John 8, here's an example of your eisegesis: even though this text clearly refers to two distinct persons (two witnesses), you smugly say, “but we know this CANT be talking about two persons in God,” …so you go onto redefine terms and reword what it says and make it a matter of "natures".. How do you know it can’t be talking about two persons in the Godhead? Where does God say he is only one PERSON and not only one NATURE? You have assumed Unitarianism instead of assuming what scripture clearly shows: A monotheist God (which is the foundation of trinitarian doctrine) that exists in the person of the Father, the person of the Word/Son, Jesus, and the person of the Holy Spirit. Since using honest contextual criticism in John 8 shows Jesus is explaining himself to be God, he would not be speaking as a MAN. Which means when he says two witnesses, while explaining himself to be God, he is speaking of 1. himself, God the Son/Jesus, and 2. God the Father, in heaven, who sent him. A MAN cannot claim to have existed before Abraham. As I've said before, to claim natures, not persons, speak and have relationship is just downright illogical. Your Oneness view then requires you to create a Jesus that can split himself into two persons that communicate and glorify one another... you then have to presuppose which person in Jesus is speaking every time he speaks in scripture, the man Jesus or the God in Jesus, and that’s scary. It is also fallacious to say, “where is the Holy Spirit, why not three witnesses if the trinity doctrine is true?” John doesn’t speak of the sending of the Holy Spirit to bear witness of Christ until a many chapters later… it's disingenuous to claim that there must always be mention of each person of the trinity when there is mention of one person of the trinity for the doctrine to be true. Nevertheless... your view of scripture is flawed. The New Testament is the fullest revelation of God. Does appealing to monotheistic Jews (your claim that monotheistic Jews didn't see a plurality in any concept in the OT scriptures pointing to their understanding of the Shema) all the time help your own case when you claim to believe the New Testament is God’s word...or that Jesus is the Messiah that suffered, died, resurrected, and ascended to the Father? Do the OTS Jews support your Oneness view on Jesus? Why on earth would I count a Unitarian Jew as a reliable source on the nature of God when they don’t believe in the fullest revelation of God by the New testament? You all think this Unitarian Jewish thought on the nature of God is some slam dunk but it's not...at all...they deny the New Testament and deny your savior...and using their beliefs on who God is as your attack is actually detrimental to your Oneness belief system when you hold yourself to the same standard of "if the Jews didn't believe it, I'm not going to believe it!!" Not to mention the Apostles and their disciples/students understood the distinctness between the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Greek grammar asserts distinction when definite articles are used before each one of these subjects too by the way). Be consistent, hold yourself to the same standard. And most of all, repent of this attack on the nature of the Triune God of the Bible.

Claiming this as a 'trinity' scripture when there's only 2/3 of a 'trinity' mentioned seems foolish to me. A 33.3% reduction is no trinity at all. It's only a 'bi-nity'!! @@kevinconnelly6075 Kevin, while oneness believers reject the doctrine of the Trinity, they nevertheless accept the doctrine of Dual Nature. Is it logical to reject the idea that God is a Trinity of Persons, and yet maintain the key doctrine wich supports that idea? Of course not. Kevin, does the Bible explicitly teach anywhere that Jesus was comprised of two natures? No, it does not. It must be inferred from the text in the same manner that the Trinity is inferred from the text by many. Oneness criticizes Trinitarians for building a doctrine out of proof texts, rather than hearing the whole, clear counsel of God, while on the other hand they are doing the exact same thing with respect to the regarding Dual Nature. Oneness are being hypocritical without even realizing it, holding Trinitarians to a higher standard than they are holding themselves to.
@msolav63
@msolav63 Год назад
@@kevinconnelly6075 Not only that my friend, the Bible mentions the word "PERSON" in comparison with God. Jesus is the image just like we're also the Image of God in a moral, spiritual, and intellectual nature (Gen 1:27). In Hebrews 1:3 it says: 3 who being the brightness of HIS GLORY and the express IMAGE OF HIS PERSON and upholding all things by the word of HIS power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Within a theological context, PERSON does not necessary refer to someone who possesses a physical body. Rather, a "PERSON" refers to an identity and set of characteristics that are unique when compared to none persons. The image of God is the most significant delineating factor which distinguishes man from physical creatures, and it's endows him with the confluence of qualities that is specific only to persons, namely, a mental faculty which possesses volition, logic, abstract thought, moral agency, self awareness, rationality, and emotive expressions. We may appropriately summarize these qualities as those that belong to a subject who is capable of love. Let me ask you, did Jesus have a body? The answer is: Of course. Now is a donkey a person? The answer is: Of course not, it is an animal but, still a donkey also has a body. So to be a person you necessarily need a body? Of course NOT, because if that was the case a donkey would be a person. I know that you reject the word PERSON but wasn't Jesus a PERSON like you and I? The answer is: yes, of course. So we would have to conclude that Jesus is DIVINE and also a PERSON or a man. There is no problem to use the word PERSON nor there is no problem in using the word as first PERSON, second PERSON or third PERSON.
@msolav63

Oneness Pentecostals more than any other denomination have to seek an explanation for scriptures that do not fit with their theology. Most of the time they have to use single verses or tie verses from one place in the bible to another for their dogmas to make sense, and they can not read the verses exactly as they are written.
