You have got to admit, Ginger is DRESSED!!!!!!!! Her style is absolutely amazing! Fantastic taste in clothes. I see a lot of people with shopping addiction buy a lot of crap that won't stand the test of time, but Ginger does have quite a few investment pieces.
INDEED....I mean if you're going to go in debt over clothes, it may as well be GREAT clothes....and she DOES have great style so it's not like she's just buying clothes because of the label...she is truly buying HER taste.
Yep! She's gorgeous, but sut she could be that fabulous with a capsule wardrobe. Its crazy to think she has to buy EVERYTHING. She should frankly sell stuff, so she can update. My heart hurts for her.
@@Meli_Mels I agree with you. If she gets therapy and address and heal from all of her issues I'm pretty sure she will be selling things left and right! This woman looks like she is just triggered by the shopping and underneath has a wonderful personality, a beautiful black woman just trying to do the best she can to keep from completely losing it. Having a therapist is a great step that a lot of people refuse to take so she's going in the right direction. And she had me dying laughing with her facial expressions and cheerful comedy relief. 😆 PS. Crazy to say but, I hope she doesn't commit suicide because unfortunately, these great women with deep emotional issues that seem to have it all from the husband to the kids, to the career slip into depression and take their lives. Praying she triumphs over this.
That's like saying: "This guy may be a serial killer, but I gotta say, he picks the most beautiful women to murder. He's got great taste in women." No! It's a mental illness that can cause all kinds of problems (marital, social, financial, etc...). It shouldn't be praised or glorified, it should be treated!
Aieshoo 1234 true, she's very likeable but to think all the great things she could have done with that money instead of wasting it on clothes - helping charities, a nice holiday a great experience. Clothes can't give you that. Just a short term high.
Brooke Johnson I don't know if she would make a killer profit from selling all of her designer clothes on eBay, but she'd probably make a few hundred bucks.
merdelune9 exactly and she invested her time in her when she could have been trying to make a sale off the other customers who are hit and miss for purchasing.
Why can someone get into debt over shopping and be allowed to claim bankruptcy twice. She gets to keep all of those designer clothes? What is wrong with America.
Ginger looks so beautiful in St. John clothes and her personality is so fun! She should work for the company. And do you see how much the husband looks like her dad 2:53 + 3:39
I love shopping too. But it should not become a problem in somebodys life. I just plan budget save and shop. If one shops they should enjoy their stuff . If you overbuy you obviously regret what you bought . So the stuff is making you sad, but not happy. She basically earned 100k salary but is buying in high end stores regularly something she cannot pay for. Living within your means can always make you happy. I enjoy shopping occassionally and saving too. Both make me happy. She has stuff which which is now worthless to her and has to donate.
Actually I feel bad what I just said. You are right. The lady must have been unhappy inside. Shopping fills a void and the sales people are trained to sell. It takes a lot of willpower to resist.
Well.....$280,000 in debt and it not be for student loans....well.....what can I say? Hopefully she has worn or at least admired the hell outta her wardrobe because.....what else are you going to do but be in debt over shopping....she does have her own sense of style and some beautiful clothes and shoes though.
l kofie that’s literally the price of a house😳 not in Cali/Beverly hils obviously but still. Most other places that’s literally a reasonably modest house.
This is why I prefer window shopping over going into clothing stores. Window shopping is a great way to get exercise and on top of that fashion is a form of art that deserves to be seen and admired. While I am not the biggest fan of the movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic" I do admit that the fashion was pretty unique as the film's costume designer Patricia Fields was the head costume designer for "The Devil Wears Prada." Plus, I admit Isla Fisher was quite gorgeous in the film. Though I had never heard of her until this film was released; so I had no idea Isla was Australian.
Stein-mart and Macys? You have to be kidding me? Why waste money on Cheap Chinese Crap that is bad for the environment, designers, the Third World, the First World, and fashion? At least she has great taste.
I don’t see anything wrong with liking high end things. I have expensive taste, not for the typical Gucci, Prada, etc. but I order my favorite pieces from small designers that make their clothes to order in the US and sustainable source. I pay more for it but I feel better not paying for sweatshop labor. And they are a lot more unique and look very well made. However, since I like the finer things, I can only buy a couple items, so I have to keep that in mind and not go crazy.
Hang on, she makes 100,000 a year, and she is 280k in debt. It sounds to me like she might be able to pay that off in five years if she lives on beans and rice under a bridge somewhere.
Material joy just doesn't seem to last more than a year. "I earnestly exhort you: let not your hearts be fettered by the material things of this world;.." ~ Abdu’l-Baha, Baha'i Faith
My step mother is shopaholic and always is complaining herself about she has a looooot of clothes but she always continues shopping more and more 😂🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
If they have a shopaholic addiction, I'd say don't give away all their clothes. Just give away the clothes that THEY choose, but count what they have or estimate it then give them a number. At least it's on their own terms. Besides, what is giving away clothes doing for them? If I gave away my clothes I'd want to shop even more.
I knew she was a Delta, all that red and the symbol on her necklace. Sis is BAD!!!!!! In debt, but she looks SHARP! She has a lot of investment pieces already, she can use what she has and get a lot of mileage from it for years if properly cared for.
..never done anything like that maybe, but gamblers shoppers have a problem and they can't stop, doesn't make them a bad person. People can turn a blind eye and convince themselves that they aren't doing anything wrong but the fact remains that they are contributing to the troubles in someones life. It may not be their fault even but if it were me I won't be able to stop thinking about it.
Ginger is shopping at St. John's. I was given a pair of St. John's pants. They retail for $400. They were a gift. I would never spend that kind of money for a pair of pants.
And here am I buying 2 dollar t shifts from the Salvation Army thrift stores. Wearing the same 12 dollar hoodie from k mart 3 years after purchasing it. I really do understand this shopping addiction thing though, I mean I get a rush when I buy stuff too. Cheap stuff.
my mom got herself into a debit of £6000 because stupid assholes behind the counters keep offering her cards and finance options. I try explaining to her what her problem is but she won't listen, she's gonna kill me with these bills.
She lacked responsibility and integrity because she knew she could not pay that amount of debt back yet she still shopped. This is why the country is in a mess. I bought too many things and I paid for them. I do not buy what I cannot afford. There's no excuse. It's greed.
If I had that much credit card debt I'd default on it, and wait out the statute of limitations. If she messes up her credit in the process of that well at least she won't be able to buy any clothes.
Billy Barton such a good point! Wow. Really made me think. Thank you. You are so smart. Keep thinking the way you do and you will go well in life, if you are not already! Best wishes x
I don't think she should have given any clothing away, for two reasons: 1.) it may want to make her shop more and 2.) when giving good clothes to charity, the staff sifts through them and takes the good stuff for themselves :-(
People don't know what they are doing. My mother came from another country didn't speak much english or understand much and these people make it seem like they're doing them a favour but they don't understand the long term risks of it. These cards are really meant for poor people because they know they'll stay in debt and pay more. That's what this problem is you can blame it on the shoppers but if you know there is a problem then why not prevent it? You and I ca't understand it because we've..
She has earned 3mil but is 300 g in debt?? Should bought some rental properties back at start of earning cycle..or classic exotic cars...but not clothes!!
Really she acts like a drunk. She seemed embarassed in not buying: demonstrating that way that She doesn't have any money...but that's the truth... She hasn't any actual Money: She lives on credit....
Yeah but what happens when he is not with her??? The problem with being a shopaholic is how does one get away from all shopping? I mean you have to shop for things still even if just at the grocery store and all that it is still there and also there is online shopping....what happens then?
