I know, right? The series might have its share of bugs and glitches, but damn. Top-notch writing, awesome soundtrack, action-packed gameplay and the "open world cop simulator" approach that you won't find anywhere else. I think both games in the series deserve a remaster.
The Protagonist was hilarious too, saying memorable and funny lines all the way through game whether it was in cutscenes or gunfight. Game was a masterpiece, preferred it over New York.
This song makes me feel so nostalgic, brings me right back to my child hood days and days of getting drunk to this song in my teens cause I loved this song when I was a kid, always use to blast it on my friends speakers in his basement and BMX street ride to this song on my ipod
Ah yes, it's one of those unforgettably nostalgic childhood songs... one more time, just one more time let me return to the streets of L.A.; when times were so much happier, so much simpler..!
This game was well ahead of its time. It was a nearly 1:1 recreation of LA. I was able to drive to hotels I stayed at in real life. Even retail businesses were at the exact location they were in real life.
When I first played this game I suspected Masterson of being corrupt because he was so strict on Nick not getting involved. Like the Mexican police chief from Machete, or the FBI agent from Beverly Hills Cop III.
Ah man, this was a fun game. The mechanics were pretty dumb though. There wasn't really any point in using the "bad cop" / lethal takedowns since the "good cop" / knockout takedowns were typically quicker and there was no mechanic for the enemies waking up awhile after a knockout. This easter egg video had me in stitches at the time.
