I'd like to see that, but don't get too exited. I've seen some of their videos and Zefrank's presence would only increase the amount of bad puns and testicle jokes by about 2-3%. 3.6 at most - not great, not terrible.
@@TheSchultinator Not sure what you mean, but if you're refering to the "not great, not terrible" line, that's a meme from HBO's Chernobyl series, which is definetly worth checking out.
fun fact we assumed that it was eating the poop but we've found more evidence that its actually trying to eat from it's stomach the proboscis had a drill bit in the original parasitic snail. Also these snail shells were made from calcium which isn't how shells from all other snails are made.
“Just because your toddler wants a nom-nom you can’t eviscerate a milkman” is one of the best lines to come out of not only a ZeFrank video, but the entire history of comedy in general. Especially in context.
1. "...that thing looked like a baby elephant trying to kick it's way out of a cows face!" (about warthogs) 2. When he finally reversed the "Butt science! ... No wait... But science.." to "But science... No wait... Butt science!" 3. Idk probably this one or whatever
“Bringing unauthorized passengers on expeditions is a clear violation of NOAA regulation 364B paragraph 76. Also, discussing crusty foreskins just seems like it’s beyond the pale somehow.”
"This is something I've seen in the paleozoic." "I did not know you were that old, Chris." You've gotta love that highly concentrated dorky energy. I'd be talking that way after one day on the job.
can we all just admire the fact that this man deliberately edited himself into their convo just for his jokes to be undermined? for the sake of funny commentary. L E G E N D.
Hahaha this is still so hilarious Love that she saw it too I'm kind of wondering why he felt he needed the disclaimer that he just edited himself in, like.. Are there people that clueless they couldn't tell haha
Invite him! You know, with a content warning but, man, it would be a blast to see the numbers of watchers explode, even more people learning due to the spot-on comedy!
I am weirdly proud of you putting that text in at 8:30. I know it's hard for a comedian to "spoil the joke", but it doesn't at all. It just preserves truth.
nooo. I was on the edge (wait... it can't be... maybe ? and they just ignore him like many trolls before and they are used to it ? No they don't react enough...") for the entire video before that, waiting to see people making a mess about it in the comments, and the rest of the video became useless after it
well, just for the sake of clarity, are you saying wha.......oh my goodness you are aren't you !.........well your going to have to explain it, you know that ? .........right ? (it's funnier when Z does it but i tried)
Dude the fact that sometimes I can’t tell if he’s actually talking to them or not just proves this man’s genius hahahaha so fucking funny… and educational.
@@juliobaezajr8801 I don't know, but I suspect he's simply editing his lines into pauses between other people's lines. You can hear him start to say something only to be talked over by an NOAA host at one point.
@@blarg2429 If you listen closely all the lines are edited. Parts of sentences have been removed to make zefrank's commentary sound more natural, but he's also sometimes added parts where people talk over him or interrupt him to make it sound even more natural because that's what actually happens in natural conversation.
“Is it possible the foreskin evolved from that? Sorry, I know that’s wrong. I mean: do they share a common ancestor.” holy crap, I missed this 10/10 evolutionary biology joke on the first watch. absolutely amazing
@@dragonllig790 a common incorrect phase for evolution is "1 still living species evloved from another still living species" ex humans evolved from apes. However this is not the case. In all cases two species related to eachother were at one point a the same species that is different then both, the common ancestor. The joke was that he was knowledgeable enough to corrected himself on this fact, while still asking if human penis is genetically related to the worm. It's a dick joke Edit spelling
Alright, this was awesome, but also the shrimp eating the still-alive fish's stomach and pulling out another fish was more disturbing than I was prepared for lol
"we have snails on land" "yep" "so is this someone we have to worry about? like if you're wearing short pants or a skirt?" "let's just say yes" I'm fucking dying
This is like talking to your friends in VC and they're somehow answering your questions and listening to call outs despite you being muted for the past 30 minutes.
I watch this dives with passion, just love when the scientists "geek-out" they're hilarious and make science so much fun. Just love that ZeFrank fits in so well!
I’d actually really enjoy having some Zefrank in those live streams. I’ve watched quite a few and this could be a fantastic colab. Insert some fun jokes and just be blown away alongside them.
Hi, Zefrank! I’m one of the videographers on NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer. I’ve been working onboard since 2016 and saw a lot of this in person. It’s surreal and an honor to see our Okeanos footage in one of your videos. You blend in so well! And you even got the bad phone audio right! Welcome, unofficially, to the team!
To be fair, their commentary is quite often funny, especially when they are nerding out over a new species. Ze’s added voice over just adds his sprinkle of hilarity :)
I'm on my fifth or sixth viewing of this, and I laugh Every. Single. Time!!! It's all the subtle things he does to make it seem like he's actually one of the commentators....the "Hi, Chris", when he entered the conversation, or him apologizing when he "accidentally interrupts" someone, that make this so unbelievably funny to me. The brilliance of the editing on full display. Genuinely hope this becomes a series, as I could watch this sort of thing daily.
That was great. The way he edited over the video. He makes you interested on what's going on by the way he talks through the video. He is funny. Thanks brother
"The fuck? The fuck? Ze Frank is on again. The fuck? The fuck? Is Jerry there with him? The fuck? The fuck? He's talking science yet again, this man is his own meme, what is testicle thing and where has it been? WHAT THE actual FUCK _ is_THIS????"
We used to turn down the volume on the TV when I was a kid and add our own dialog.....primitive compared to RU-vid editing but certainly the prototype for such genre and we were heavily amused. The best was to do it to soap operas
Fun Animal Fact: A Lowland Streaked Tenrec looks like a real-life Pokémon, it has a black and yellow striped pattern accompanied by special quills that make sound through something called striduation. That’s the same process that crickets use when they rub their legs together to make chirping noises. Tenrec’s are the only mammals in the world that do this!
In my experience, a disproportionate number of kids who love Pokémon grow up to be marine biologists, and it's at least in part because the sea has the greatest variety of mind-bogglingly weird creatures that look like you should be throwing a Pokéball at them.
Really love that you actually let the real commentary shine through in places, while still injecting such marvelous humor. This is such a wonderful showcase of these livestreams, thanks Ze.
Petition for zefrank to be hired as PR for any wildlife and nature exploration project. He can come up with a more fun version of documentaries and attracted more people outside the usual demographic, like people who don't usually watch documentaries.
Videos like this deserve a love button... I couldn't tell you how many times I laughed at this ..👍 great job..... Also thank you NOAA for all their help and hard work discovering a new world on our world.
Ze Frank is the best! 😂 My granddaughter loves him. I finally felt she was old enough to appreciate his videos. Using this material for homeschool. Thank you Ze Frank! This overdubb is brilliant. Hysterical❤
Not with censored language. Nature is naturally weird and vulgar, so there was a point that textbooks and nature shows stopped at to not talk about it. I grew up binging Animal Planet's top tens, they had some balance into weird stuff.
@@Amccordford I'm schooling my middle schooler. Thanks to Ze Frank's nudibranchs, we had the "well son, pubic hair is something that every developing teen becomes aware of . . . " discussion. It was honestly the best natural segue I could hope for ;)
I'm looking forward to the True Facts: Peacock episode. "Jerry, you have to proofread---- oh, that actually IS the name of this animal??? Why would they name it--- yes, i know I'm supposed to be the one who knows things, Jerry."
@@marcg2106 I did know this, but I feel like no one really uses it. And the joke really only works with peacock, which is generally what people recognize when talking about peafowl. 🤷♂️ I think a true facts episode on peafowl would also be fun because peahens look NOTHING like you expect them to. 😆
I love how the people on this original video were thrilled at being on ZeFranks video, shows how far you’ve come buds!! Keep on keeping on bro!! I’ve watched them before, I adore their genuine excitement and love for everything in the ocean Looks like Patrick didn’t make it home from the bar lastnight 🤣
I could watch this for hours. Love the videos ze frank! With all the craziness in the world right now, your RU-vid videos are my favorite way to decompress. I look forward to seeing more.
Please. Please. Please do more of these! I just found your channel and I'm thrilled at the new opportunities to see your videos, but sad they're only now entering my life
Zefrank for the win. I would sit thru longer live dives If He was actually on the commentary . the quick wit and double entendre skill is Ninja level. and I, for one, appreciate it. especially appreciate that it's all done While learning bonus points
