National Guard here. So I worked with the DC guard during the protest a few months back. They aren't well equipped because the state is actually a support unit in itself, yeah they have infantry and engineers but their main goal in a large scale activation is medical and admin support. Take those and pin them up against a PMC and you have a recipe for disaster, until you take in account the fact that either A. The true sons have the home team advantage OR neither has an advantage depending on if they are fighting in DC or NY, so I'd say if it was DC it would be True Sons just because of numbers, if it was NY it would be real close but most likely LMB because they have armor, air, and SHD tech.
True Sons might even lose in DC too just based on the fact the LMB had more experienced leadership with history in combat zones. That and they might even do something even the Division never thought of: not attack the Capitol building from the front
@@MegaCityOne yeah lmao it’s basically just charging straight at the mounted 30mil and artillery. Take the Capitol from the sides and they’d fold like origami, their biggest strength is the illusion of being powerful and their numbers, but behind it is inexperience and overconfidence. NGN even mentioned this as the True Sons rule by intimidation and aren’t used to people fighting back, that’s completely true and shows their true colors. Unfortunately the Division’s leadership has poor judgement (which I think is what led to the death of an agent at the hands of Coyote at Jefferson, that was a definitely Kelso’s bad call) led them to charge straight at the front door.
I liked the last man battalion better they looked like a force not to mess around with where as black tusk wich is what they joined isn’t that menacing as them and they don’t look as cool to be honest. Last man battalion would kick my ass so much in the division 1 but black tusk and true sons never could not that bad at least
I thought the same thing 😂 I was thinking they were JTF special forces or something and then when they started attacking me i was like oh shit! I'm a friendly!
Black tusk is just a much larger more tech based version of the LMB, similar recruitment backgrounds/experience to LMB only difference being they have the resources to rival a near full fledged army
I honestly wonder what would happen if the black tusk arrived before Bliss was killed. I think he’d be in his element and would’ve been a real asset to them with his knowledge of the area. Imagine bliss if he had all the resources of the black tusk with him.
I played very kittle of TD1, so I assumed TLMB was just another military regiment that went rouge. Soon as I heard you mention they have CIA SAD in their ranks, I instantly knew who would win.
Have you ever considered narrating audio books? You’ve definitely got the voice for it. My wife says, “he’s got a voice and accent that’ll melt pantyhose off of women.” Her words, not mine. 😂 seriously though, you have a phenomenal speaking voice.
Not sure if u have these vids planned out but i would like to see this next Hyenas Vs Rikers Underground Vs Looters Barrets Rikers Vs Dragovs Rikers Conleys Cleaners Vs Ferros Cleaners Then maybe some other fun ones like JTF Vs Civilians
Hyenas vs Rikers - Hyenas would win in a high difficulty battle. Hyenas are armed by the BT so they can easily outgun the Rikers. Hyenas has better tech in general. Underground vs Looters - Underground wins easily due to better weapons, poison grenades, better archetypes. Barrets Rikers vs Dragov Rikers - Dragov Rikers win easily. Dragov Rikers survive 7 months after the outbreak so they are battle-hardened. They also have better tech and better archetypes. Conleys Cleaners vs Ferros Cleaners - Conley Cleaners win easily for the same reason as above. Idk about the JTF vs civilians tho but I guess I'll take the JTF since they are better trained in general compared to random civilians.
I reckon there would be heavy casualties, but the LMB would probably win by a significant amount. Against Black Tusk's resources and numbers though, I can't see the LMB surviving. Especially given how the LMB seemingly wasn't able to recover after the death of their leader, whereas all the prominent Black Tusk members we've taken out has only seemed like a minor inconvenience to them.
LMB has a weakness: 500 men. A closed number. Sure, they could have trained people from other groups, but how many? Surely not enough to double or let alone get to 1.5x We don't get any hint that would suggest how many the True Sons are, nor the Black Tusk.
Apparently they formed units within the black tusk. There's also an elite version of black tusk, aptly named white tusk, who could indeed be LMB... but this is speculation.
@@fogfullofsilhouettes5842 white tusk? You mean the special forces you fight when you do a stronghold on legendary? I loved to fight the Lmb. And I think their logo was badass
@@BigHomieLeviathan Yes, when you do a stronghold on Legendary difficulty. I honestly think that the white tusk is made up of ex-LMB, given the fact that they are all wearing white, much like LMB did, they are using advanced technology more so than black tusk and are all at elite rank or named, making them experienced. Lore wise, the LMB were disbanded and infighting started. But others moved on and its possible black tusk recruited them for their elite unit.
@@fogfullofsilhouettes5842 would kinda make sense if they were ex Lmb. I hope we'll get to find out more about that. But I dont understand that when they split into smaller groups when we killed charles bliss why did they disappear? I dont think every single one of them joined black tusk (if they actually did) like isnt that exactly what happened to the cleaners and rikers? They split up into smaller groups without leadership yet here they are
This is a very close one, but on paper The Last Man Battalion should win the fight. But in War things dont always go according to plan. I think the True Sons could be a worthy enemy, because they have more people on their side. Great video as always.
One thing that also separates the True sons and the LMB is their leadership: Ridgeway, like Bliss, cared about his men and definitely was a good leader but he was also too arrogant in his approach. He even dismissed the idea of letting the other factions kill themselves as cowardly even though it would’ve left the JTF and SHD weakened and vulnerable to their overwhelming numbers. Bliss on the other hand was equally ambitious and did stay and fight the division when he should’ve fled, but he was about efficiency, and expressed the importance of preserving their numbers, so if presented with the same solution, he’d probably take it and save his resources for a swift and decisive victory. All in all, bliss wouldn’t make the same mistakes as ridgeway. He’d have more of his resources dedicated to his defenses, keeping his men safe as they let everyone kill off each other, including the true sons; then, he would’ve taken his highly-trained soldiers and finished them off.
You forgot to mention that the LMB also allowed others to join them, although they were alot more picky than the True Sons. In one of the found footages, we see a captured JTF soldier who joined the LMB in order to avoid execution.
they took also cleaner but mostly because ther wher enginers for normal stuff and some rikers because some of them wher capabel gun men like some cleaner who just needed the right training
Great video 👍🏻. I'm going to be that guy; but I still think the LMB beats Black Tusk also. From my take on things, loyalty and discipline is actually a problem within the Black Tusk... They seem that their members will only stay in line until they get a little bit too annoyed. If the option to abscond to a better way presents itself, then their members will take them. The LMB really do 'fight to the last man' (anyone who got that in-game arm patch will know what I mean) and they will only break from the structure when the structure has collapsed - they are far more loyal as their ethos is built around it (more regimented in that sense like a proper army unit). Even then, when the remaining enemies regrouped at the harbour in NYC, the LMB were clearly running the show with all the other factions falling in line for their own survival. LMB members only joined Black Tusk when there was no more LMB structure at all. Whereas we've observed more in-fighting, bickering and operatives working their own angles all within the Black Tusk; they have a discipline problem. They're run like a multi-national corporation it seems, where people will only stay so long as it suits them. There would be those who would stay until the lights go out but they would be fewer in number. This is not the case with the LMB who are run like a proper military unit. Charles Bliss knew how to get the best from his men and women. Furthermore, if the LMB can re-engineer and re-purpose SHD tech, then they can do so with any (minimal) tech advantage that the Black Tusk may bring. Hope my rationale makes sense as I don't think it's too far fetched. Keep up the great content! ⚔️
I always like the lmb and I knew they were better because like you said they already were in war zones before the outbreak and from the commons in div 1 bliss knew people would panic and act stupid and endanger others while the true suns only had national guard which many of them have never even seen combat until the outbreak.
Brazilian here, I love this PMC dos Heirs faction so much, that I didn't think twice when choosing the name of my clan, I've been a HERDEIROS team since 2020, when I had my contact with The Division 2
LMB would definitely decimate the true sons, knowledge and skills over quantity 👌 the more I learn about this game is the more I see it manifest irl ,another great video with excellent narration 😁
When i first met the LMB i had massive respect and thought they were so badass compared to some former JTF etc of the True Sons. Idk something about the LMB kinda wishes a game around em maybe I’m just a big fan of em
Honestly, I feel like the LMB and True Sons would join together. As you said, Ridgeway hated seeing the governments attempts to save the city. Bliss also hated the governments attempts in NY. They are also both enemies of the government, SHD, and JTF. They also have the save believes in order and authority.
As a Division vet. The LMB has only respect from me. They're highly skilled, competent, and organized. If only they were the good guys. Now that I think about it. I wonder if we'll see any of the ex LMB that joined the Black Tusk. Or maybe the ones that joined the JTF. I wonder what their stories
I mean tbf were they actually ever the bad guys? The Division is just going around murdering everyone with no actual plan to rebuild civilization, besides killing everyone and "saving what remains." While the LMB and later the Black Tusk actually, all be it ruthless and authoritarian, plans to rebuild society and tbf The Division has been pretty ruthless and authoritarian as well with the justification that desperate times call for desperate measures, the same justification the LMB and Black Tusk were using. Hell the Black Tusk have the support of the President of the United States, the COMMANDER IN CHIEF. The Division is a rogue entity that is keeping society from being rebuild. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
@@itsvalentino2128 I know they got a plan for rebuilding. Or they're just paving the way for it. Plus it ain't murder if they trying to kill you as well. We have our orders. We accomplish the mission. Simple. As. That
Thank you such a great video so good to geek out on the different faction's and understand the motivations behind them too I just started reading New York collapse the first division novel these video really help to bring insight to it 👏👍👏👌
Watching D1 clips of the launcher and how smooth and effective it was makes me hate D2 sometimes lol. I hope they are able to revamp the skills in the next D2 update
Don’t know if you would consider it but LMB legendary troops are a whole other level. Totally beefed up versions of there regular counterparts. I truly think legendary LMB can beat legendary Black Tusk.
@@NGN agreed 100%, I'd almost like to see it comparison of LMBagainst the Black Tusk but then I almost think it would be the same situation just reversed in Black Tusk would be the one on top.
@@musicguy9724 Your right. LMB shield tanks are more of a threat than Black Tusk heavy gunners. The only thing the Black Tusk has over LMB are drones, warhounds, and sentries. It’ll be a close fight. I think the rogue first wave agents in LMB ranks might edge out the Black Tusk.
BTSU Vs LMB would end with a BTSU Victory but most of the LMB are now BTSU more specific Operators wearing white uniforms and are more deadly than ever
Yes it is *as* word. disorientated /dɪsˈɔːrɪənteɪtɪd/ Learn to pronounce adjectiveBRITISH having lost one's sense of direction; disoriented. "when he emerged into the street he was totally disorientated" confused and unable to think clearly. "being near him made her feel weak and disorientated"
LMB is gonna win. They are probably all retired military from Marines to Special Forces like Rangers since they are a private military while True Sons do have some military backgrounds but most of them were JTF members who went rogue.
I got 2 questions: (1) what mask is your Division 1 character wearing and can you really have a mask and hat on at the same time? (2) What is that shirt/jacket you have cause i think it looks really cool
My money always would be on the LMB between them and the True Sons, cause they have the better training and experienxe; and not to mention a decent logistic network backing them up.
I thought I subbed you already anyway I’m new to the gang now but I’ve been here for awhile I like this series plus I’m away from console but tomorrow is a different story
JTF:Basicly can't do anything without SHD(Well, they somehow super tanky while just wearing shirt in TD2, so must be they are superhero or something) Bad JTF: I'm actually very powerful To be honest, I really hope JTF to have at least a little similar infantry structure or should say, class. But I think ubi just don't want them to be
I'm 99.9% sure the BT would win. They got former LMB, + more rogues and more combat tech than the LMB. And they drones they have. The BT also has more ties to the government.
@@fuckeverybodycom Nah True Sons is way more than capable of tearing LMB a new hole. I can't see any reasons why the LMB would be able to even make a dent on the True Sons, let alone beating them.
United Ironwork group of the True Sons would stomp the LMB low dif. Anybody who played through the raid of Division 2 would know how hard the True Sons would slap the LMB lol
