@@mikesmith95 Same. I was watching a video of some cats in sweaters in early 2014, and "minor it down" was playing in the background of the vid, and I just had to know what band it was. I've listened to this band ever since.
i have such a deep connection with this band.. i find this band very very veeeeeryy nostalgic, although i started listen to them just 1 year ago (im 21) its like the songs from them are somehow the soundtracks of my life. weird warm feeling
i have this feeling too. 19 years old but every time i listen to this, i feel some nostalgic stuff crawling thru my body and reminding me of a time when everything was happy and warm...
I just heard this at a friend's house. I ain't coming down. Vibes got me flyin. I feel Cobain's Soul in this. It's been a while. Be True Widow. Order from Relapse above.
Can´t describe how much I love this. I haven´t heard the album yet but in the meantime I´ll inform as many people in Colombia as I can that one of the best 2013 singles it´s been released recently.

@@jamescrock2213 If you’re talking about taking this to the grave, I’m practically building my coffin. Still listening to this on a regular a n d consuming their discography. I’ve contributed a staggering 13.8% to the view count by now. Edit: fuck I just outted myself. I realized I quoted 19% 3 months ago.
Neo gaze? Atmospheric acid? Labels be damned, just label this stuff EPIC. While so many bands get caught trying to be something, this band swoops right overtop with what was missing for so many: real feeling. Such an immersive track, but sharing that characteristic with so many of their other songs. Sensual and emotionally evocative at once. Oh such guilty pleasures!
[Verse 1] Severed head syndrome Watching the seer come on Ready to be like a shattered bone Once in the nape it can't be undone [Verse 2] Cover with leaves where you've gone Watching the lace scar and the color come Reaching the ridge with a thumb Why won't you make it ever so? [Verse 3] I've been waiting for you everyday Just inside there you can stay When you see me please don't look away Once you're bound you're never leaving
Recently bought this record@ CD Whse in Arlington- was totally amazed when I took the album out- looks like a tie dye green& silver eyeball- coolest record I have ever seen- that's it
The aesthetic of this video combined with TW's morbid gloom tone reminds me of that series that came up on HBO few years back called Sharp Objects. Somewhat of True Detective too
I was binge watching longmire (Netflix) and this song was in one of the episodes. The scene stuck in my head, and I had to buy the song. Love the sound man!
@@neonpalmfilms8975 I totally love this video- the highlight blooms and vintage tone is just superb- beautifully shot work - did you use Promist filters? I just love it
I want that guitar patch that sounds like torn speakers, and blown tubes running on low voltage. Yes. It sounds like human civilization failing as you watch. That. I want that.
God, this band is phenomenal. I first heard them a few years ago ("Corpse Master" was playing on a random video) and although I loved that song, I didn't really look into them further. Recently, I decided to listen to that song again and then came across the video of them playing "Flat Black." It's crazy how every song I find further down the rabbit hole is somehow even better than the last. This has to be my favorite song so far, and this video is perfect for it--pure art. "Minor it down" is a close second. I'm finally going to go through every album from start to finish, like I should have years ago.
This song is amazing. Randomly found this. I like the eerie dark feeling. I need more stuff like this in my life. I get Jim Morrison vibes for some odd reason. This is heroin in audio form. This is dreary day music. I need more of this.
Every time I watch this (which is often), I always imagine they're playing in a preserved serial killer's house from the early 20th century, heh. That line "Once you're bound, you're never leaving." adds to that headcanon. Edit: Hell, now that I think about it, the whole song sounds like it's from that perspective, arguably. I had never actually taken the time to look at all the lyrics.
The marble top tables and antique furniture looks like the inside of my mother's home way back in the way back machine.....not sure why but I guess the look of the house and odd tattoos I'm getting a distinctly "Deep South" feeling, though the music is anything but....
The video is really beautiful. Your director and his team did really good work on this ! According to me, there are too much effects on the singer voice. Guitar intro is deep and good for dreamers like me :) . It is a good song, but I think there is a lack in your structure, not enought different parts !
