When he initially came into politics, he was a never-trumper, and there are plenty of clips of him stating this. Once he was elected and saw how the tide was turning, like a lot of Republicans he latched his wagon onto Trump. The whiplash seeing his early interviews cut against his newer Fox ones is jarring.
